  1. @Campiotti wrong section. Moving @Gomo next time use the report button
  2. Listen to DoctorDharok. You can also try adding Fastcraft to Blightfall. Check if it helps, if not - remove it. Apart from the view distance setting you can disable clouds in the options and you can experiment with the advanced opengl setting in options.txt
  3. You need Mantle. Grab the latest for 1.7.10
  4. Use this one. It's the recommended one for 1.7.10. If some mod will need a newer version it will show a notification screen. Rename it to modpack.jar Map? Voxel is nice and not resurce intensive although it needs liteloader. There's also JourneyMap but it needs more cpu power. Test one and then the other.
  5. Relax. Nobody's mad. It's just my weird way to say "Welcome to the community". Go with 1.7.10 and you'll find any mod you can think of and if you can't find something, let me know. One more friendly advice: "less youtube videos, more reading" and remember that mods have dependencies, if you forget about them your modpack will crash.
  6. It's just that big. The world save is huge so give it some time (yes, the worldgen is custom made).
  7. Legacy java fixer. Google it. Read about it. Include it. Why on earth would you make a 1.7.2 modpack when the rest of the world is on 1.7.10 and 1.8? There aren't many mods on this minecraft version. Most of them have newer versions with bugs fixed on 1.7.10 and 1.8 (those two versions don't require the legacy fixer). Why on earth are you downloading mods from those non secure sites? Haven't you heard of Curse.com, CurseForge.com or Minecraftforum.net? Open those sites, learn to use them.
  8. Your modpack.jar is the minecraft jar. It should be the Forge universal jar. Include the right file and reupload the modpack. This is the wrong place for custom modpacks. Moving to Platform Pagoda.
  9. All those modpacks you mentioned as "not working" should now work fine. Good. I think you can handle the rest. If not, drop a post here.
  10. Look at your -Xmx arguments. You have two of them. You should have one. The "-Xmx6G" is added in the launcher but "-Xmx512M" limits your memory for java to 512MB. Go to your system's environment variables and remove any argument like JAVA_OPTIONS that adds "-Xmx512M" to your arguments. Edit: after that you should launch and... crash because you added chisel addons to your modpack but you didn't add Chisel itself.

  12. The conclusions are good so let's continue. "OutOfMemoryError" pretty much means what is says. Now let's find the cause. We're suspecting a memory problem so let's search that log for the phrase "Memory:" How much memory does you're launcher allocate?
  13. That's because the direct link for your modpack should be https://copy.com/d3bip7tbHyL2U81g/Better%20World%20%28tech.%20version%29%20V11.3.2.2?download=1 but that link won't work because the platform limits urls to 30 chars. Notice how many "%20" and similar codes you have there, those are spaces and weird characters. Shorten the file name and get rid of those characters. Your zip file should be named like. BWT_v11.3.2.2.zip
  14. Can you open your log (the one that you posted) and search it for the term "Unable to launch"? Did you find it? What does it say? Is there a line like "Caused by:" in the next few lines? What does it say? Did you google that phrase that is after "Caused by:"? Report back with conclusions if you do all that above. Thread moved to Platform Pagoda.

  16. Your modpack is working fine.
  17. Aw man, you were so close.
  18. _MACOS directory and .DSStore files everywhere.
  19. That's because your Forge jar is the installer jar. Get the universal jar. Get rid of all the crap macos files from the modpack zip... wait.. you're using one so you don't see them. Shame
  20. How's your modpack going Alkain?
  21. Add your server to your minecraft instance. Close it. Grab the "servers.dat" file from there and add it to your zip file (assuming you're using a monolithic modpack aka one zip file).

    Google KCauldron.
  23. Hit me Edit: solved, get the slug from the API url not the modpack page url. Example http://api.technicpack.net/modpack/slug-goes-here
  24. I need something to work with. Modpack api url at least. Edit: also slugs don't contain periods.
  25. No modpack api url, no link to the modpack page, not even a dropbox link to the zip. Nothing
