  1. I thought that tekkit had a more sophisticated method for negative status effects. As for the ingots just realized now that I can make a 'stable' unstable ingot.
  2. No block placement needed. A pic of bedrock plane will suffice.
  3. Didn't have any issues with overheating. Wearing advanced solar generator, cooling system, water tank. The only thing that keeps me worm (to worm) is the kinetic generator but I'm disabling it with a keybind when travelling to the nether. I don't use the hand tool at all. Been using flux infused tools and I'm happy with them. What about those pesky potion effects? And the unstable ingots?
  4. How did you start the server? Did you use launch.bat / launch.sh? Those symptoms occur when you start it with the wrong jar file.
  5. Just like the tittle says. I have a Modular Powersuit and am basically indestructible but some cave spiders can do plenty damage. Is there a way to negate negative status effects with some suit upgrade or a different item? Only potions? I'm going to try the Deep Dark. is there a way to negate the mindblowing effect of unstable ingots? Only enchanted apples?
  6. He stopped but the mod isn't dead. Look at teamcofh.com at the changelog. There was an update not long ago. Calm down. It was a shock for me too. Relax and move on. Edit: Just saw a 3.0.0.7 update on the way.
  7. This is a problem for the tracker. Post there. Remember the tracker rules and guidelines.
  8. Here's some goals for you: 1. Build a full set of power armor and one another to keep in the base just in case. 2. Take a bath in every fluid that you encounter. Take a straw and drink it(!) 3. Build a 10x10 ender lily farm. With endstone of course(!) 4. Build a ME Network with extra cells that can hold 1 000 000 buckets of fluids. Fill it with lava. 5. Try a diamond block/ore mystcraft age......remember a linking book(!) Post pics of White Decay. 6. Build ten Laser Drills and power them constantly... Without energy circuits conduits. 7. Set an outpost in the Deep Dark. Post pics (!). 8. Take a journey through the Limbo. Take a selfie with Monoliths. Preferably 3 or more(!). 9. Transport a vanilla spawner near your base. Post pics. 10. Quarry the nether.... without a tesseract(!). 11. Post one selfie from every Galacticraft planet(!). 12. Post a pic of 8 stacks of cinnabar. 13. Post a pic of the nether top bedrock level.... from above(!). 14. Post a pic of the overworld bedrock level... from below(!). All goals must be done in survival tekkit without any additional mods. NEI needs to be locked for recipe mode only. Warning. The above goals can be dangerous and can decrease your inventory count and xp and teleport you to a bed. Warning: Some of the goals (!) are very dangerous, can lead to death loop and can be only done by a skilled tekkiter with one year practice ore more.
  9. Check your antivirus software. Disable it for a moment and check again.
  10. ME Fuzzy Export / Import Bus. Look for 'fuzzy' in NEI.
  11. 1. Set up a few 64x64 quarries. 2. When they will mine to the redstone level stop them (cut the power) and mine all the redstone with silk touch (this step can be done multiple times for one quarry - just stop it several times when you see redstone). 3. Pulverize all the redstone ore and get cinnabar. 4. Smelt cinnabar with ferrous ore in a induction furnace and get shiny metal. 5. Start an EE3 calcinator and get some minium shards and craft an innert stone. Smelt shards with innert stone in aludel (don't forget the glass bell) and get a minium stone. 6. Start an minium stone recipe: iron to ender pearls. 7. Pearls go to the magma crucible and now you know what to do next. This can be automated with a nether quarry as you get an ore block from nether redstone. Keep in mind all the Thermal Expansion recipes from NEI. Smelting the cheap ores like tin, iron and stuff with sand gives you more ingots and rich slag. The slag smelted with nether redstone ore can give you more redstone ore thus more cinnabar. As for the shortage of some minerals keep in mind several induction smelter recipies (I'm smelting almost all ores with sand or slag and ferrous with cinnabar) to double or triple the ingots count. In the endgame you can go with laser drills with red focus for redstone ore.
  12. Adventure mode is build this way. It's suppose to do that if we are talking about a singleplayer world. Check under the world name. Is it survival or adventure? The default type is survival.
  13. I recommend 1-4GB for tekkit (cog wheel in the launcher upper right). And do not try to give it too much RAM - like 8 or more cause it will also be problematic.
  14. Adventure mode?
  15. Java VM threads eat a lot of CPU too, and they are poorly multi-threaded. You are better with a faster 2-core CPU than a slower 4-8 cores. If you will get a 'Can't keep up' message in the logs this means that the CPU is to slow. Certain game mechanics also make short CPU spikes and can give that message like visiting a jungle for the first time even under ground - laggy as hell. At the start of your game this is what you are looking for: https://help.mojang.com/customer/portal/articles/325948-minecraft-system-requirements When you start piping and powering your staff you are going to need a little more processing power. Don't overdo it. Don't use excessive amounts of pipes / cables. Keep it simple. If you want to do something over vast distances use some item / fluid / power teleporting device (not a long pipe). Keep in mind chunk borders (I have a one-chunk base). If you need to build some machine that occupies 5x5 blocks keep it in one chunk, it will be less laggy (push F9 to see the chunk borders and another couple of times to disable it). My worst setup was some fillers filling a part of my island with cobble. This generated a lot of block lag. Some worlds may got corrupt and lag extremely without any noticeable cause. You can test this by making a server and put this kind of world in it and run it without players. If it's still using huge amounts of resources and gives can't keep up messages it's corrupted and needs fixing or deleting. P.S. I've got a 4 core AMD Phenom @ 3.4GHz and 8GB of RAM but sometimes I use a 2.2GHz Intel Sandy Bridge laptop with 4GB of RAM in creative and don't see any lag at all.
  16. Buildcraft tanks have to be pumped with some fluiducts. Try Thermal Expansion tank set to output or try without one. Are the tesseracts set right? Send fluid (lava pit) / receive fluid (base with me network). If tesseract is problematic try an ender tank. They are cheaper.
  17. I use MFR block placer and an ME Transition Plane with MFR sewer under the placed block. On the block placer I've set an export bus set to export ruby/saphire/perdiot ore and qCraft ores with exporting just items not stacks. If I set it to stacks the sewer will be to slow. I've added a +2 range upgrade to the sewer.
  18. What kind of tank? TE tank? Have you set it to output? Maybe you don't need a buffer? Try without one. Look at the drives hover over the storage cards. What info do you get?
  19. How much water have you stored? Is there free space for more fluids? Is the import bus set right (redstone signal)?
  20. Running in creative now. Will edit. Edit 1: It looks like its pumping chunks rather than blocks. It did the chunk where it was placed and four neighbour chunks (plus shaped). Edit 2: It expanded the plus shape further. Now its 5x5 chunks with the pump in the middle. Edit 3: It's going for the missing chunks and reworking the plus shape for a square 5x5 chunks. Edit 4: This is going to take a looooong time. It's going 11x11 now and still pumping.
  21. Start with this: Thermal Expansion
  22. You need to search in nei. Try searching 'fluid'. All blue cards are good beginning at 'ME 1k Fluid Storage' and ending at ME 64k Fluid Storage. The fluid storage cells are just a building block for the cards. You will need a lot (more than you think) resources to build a big fluid storage network. One 64k fluid storage at my network holds 16384 buckets of fluids (6 types).
  23. The import speed is an important setting. If you import a fixed fluid volume (like a sludge lake with a pump) it's safe to set it to the highest setting. But when it comes to lava from the nether with an ender thermic-pump or water from aqueous accumulators your me fluid network will fill up pretty fast. If you have it connected to some machines you have a larger problem. When starting a fluid network check frequently the fluid storage free space at the ME drive.
