Is there a Tekkit compatible plugin to hide names in-game?
Iscamania replied to Sauruz's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
You could try Comecloser. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/754668-125forgeguardsman-mod-comecloser-mod/ This mod does hide names and much more. Please note that this mod also have to be installed in the client... The good news is that there's a bukkit port of it too. -
You're welcome... ;)

Try ChopTree2. Does the same but actually works.
-
Have you tried to temporarly remove all plugins? Try that and if that works fine, try adding a plugin and test it, then if that works add another plugin and........ etc. You got the point right? Try adding them one for one. It's tedious, but it works.

Could I add tekkit to my existing setup?
Iscamania replied to alonsog1997's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
@alonsog: Take a look at this thread: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/so-you-want-to-convert-your-world-to-tekkit-3-0.9492/ mIDas is the program that can help you out, BUT not with the patch.txt which is applied. That one is specially made for Tekkit 2.1.1 worlds. You have to make your own patch.txt. Something I could do, but it's too much work for me. I'm sorry, I'm not the one making it or explaining it. Maybe you could PM the author of that thread for more info on it. @Patrick: You are asking something different actually. Also for you I've another thread to look at: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/tekkit-world-and-normal-survival-world-on-same-server-possible.11242/#post-83994 On that thread, there is a discussion which mention a plugin YOU are probably looking for. Good luck, can't help any further because I never tried it myself. I've only seen the BukkitDev page once in the name of interest. I'm not using it and I'm never going to either because I only use Tekkit with some extra mods and nothing else. -
Whoops, I meant to edit my previous post. Please ignore/delete this.

I know a mod and it's exactly what you're looking for! It works well with the Tekkit client & server. It's has the following, very original name: Backpacks mod <- Click! It's a link. If I type in Minecraft backpacks in Google, it's the first hit. This tells me that you didn't search AT ALL. Please do some research yourself in the future before asking! Anyway.... These backpacks work like chests. When you have one of them in your hand, you can open it with right-clicking. They're also extremely easy to make, for the basic backpack you just need 8 pieces of leather. You could dye them in all Minecrafty colors, then you'll need 1 piece of dye. (Same colors as wool) If you can't make a backpack like this in 5 or less minutes or so, you're just a fucking noob. I hope this helps your mining experience a bit. :)

Patch for EE mining tools - no more griefing with them!
Iscamania replied to thomasfn's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
You asked this six times on this page. There is a reason why you are being ignored... You are too greedy. -
A little bit searching would have taken even less time. Now you had to open a thread, write your post, wait for an answer and spend time on writing a reply on a comment which has a very obvious answer, you should've already known. It's not hard at all to use the search field. But, yes it's very possible and runs well... Just put a Z in front of the filename. (Both in client and on the server)
-
Depends... If it's a private server for only 2 or 3 people or so, you could turn off online mode. I recommend use the whitelisting feature if you do this. Just to be sure.

RedPower HalfBlocks and Rollbacks
Iscamania replied to perpetualgamer's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
I'm sure there is a way around those protections so people could grief the hell out of it. Backups are most important. -
Like I said, you've probably got way too many mods. So, NO!!! It isn't possible to run them all. Just pick the ones you really like and for Block Id errors and stuff, how about googling it?
-
Really? That isn't supposed to happen. That sucks... Bad luck buddy.

RedPower HalfBlocks and Rollbacks
Iscamania replied to perpetualgamer's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Yep, that's entirely true. The same goes for RedPower cables, so be aware and backup often. -
Texture Problems with Red/Dark/Gem Armor
Iscamania replied to Rarity's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Seems to work fine for me: I suggest changing your texture-pack and see what happens... EDIT: Whoops, didn't read you already did that. In that case, try reinstalling Tekkit. (Backup your save first ofcourse) -
Why is Forestry no longer apart of Tekkit???
Iscamania replied to TheEman's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
The good news: You can still install it yourself! If you have a fresh Tekkit installation it will install without problem as long you put a Z in front of the filename. -
You've probably installed way too many mods. What's error do you get?

Tekkit 3.0.4 and Multicraft Guide?
Iscamania replied to Acreo Aeneas's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
@PsyberTech: My server is hosted on a Dutch hosting server with MultiCraft. I had to wait 2,5 weeks before the company had Tekkit support when I requested it. I don't have the ping timeout problem and ofcourse I can't see what the hosting company has done to get it to work, but it certainly works. (And it does the PING thingy indeed with the list command like AlienX described.) -
Wow, that's weird... If I may ask, what Bukkit plugins do you have besides Towny?

Can't find a server FAQ and how do you change modpacks?
Iscamania replied to WeeFreeMan's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
That's because you actually not supposed to change things around in Tekkit. You may/could do it, but it isn't official supported by the Technic Pack. That's why there is no FAQ about it. Well... That said, you could just search on another site a for general modding tutorial if you wish. Most of the time the instructions are on the download page of the mod itself as well. If the mod has Forge support, chances are that you could use it and just dump the mod in the mods folder. That's the best way to do it. The mod HAS TO support Forge BTW. Other times a mod require you to alter minecraft.jar. Don't do that!!! Alter modpack.jar instead. Keep in mind that if you have to change modpack.jar, that you could break the Tekkit client very easy so watch the fuck out with that. -
Bukkit plugins have often colors in the the chat as well. Are the messages from those plugins also white? Strange, because I can use all colors without problems here.

[Tekkit 3.0.4] WorldGuard-- FIXES INSIDE!
Iscamania replied to AlienX's topic in Server Op Swap Shop
@Nentify: What sort of machine did you use to have that error? I couln't recreate it with the Nuclear Reactor (which is a machine, right? ) BTW, I couldn't place that same Reactor anywhere in a particular world I have. Thank god, it is a test world. I can't place it in the overworld, nor in the Nether. I thought it was one of my plugins, so I removed them all temporarly and still I couldn't place them. Then I installed a fresh Tekkit with no extra mods at all. Again, can't place it. After that, I started just a new world where I was able to place them. Very weird glitch, but no problem so long it won't happen in my MP world. It worked perfect in the new world, so I let it blew up in the Nether to test the above error. Got nothing. -
Tekkit 3.0.4 and Multicraft Guide?
Iscamania replied to Acreo Aeneas's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
For my server, I have only Tekkit.jar, the .bat & .sh launchers in my jar map. (The launchers aren't even needed in Multicraft) Everything else, like the config, mods, etc. folders are in the main directory. That's the only way how it works on my server. Try it on your server, maybe it will be the same for you! -
Eh... I had 2 gigs in my old 32bit. It can't have more then 2 gigs, so that's the limit.

First hit on Google: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/factions/files/38-1-7-5-beta/ Google it yourself next time. It's not that hard... :/
