  1. That doesn't help much with those hacked clients.
  2. Yeah, that's what I thought too. I'm not a Java developer, but I know enough to know this kind of shit.
  3. If it was a group like you described, then it's probably one of those groups with many hacks in their clients. At least get the MCBans plugin for next time and ban them immediately. Most of the time they'll return with different accounts and don't care at all. I recommend just to whitelist your server. It maybe sucks, but it's better than being griefed like Hell isn't it? For protection plugins, search around on this forum for tips and on BukkitDev (Google it) for the plugins themself. Good luck.
  4. NEVER change a block to 256, since that's a vanilla minecraft item. The wooden shovel if I remember correctly. But I think that isn't the problem in this case. Give me a sec. and I give you some different block ids to try. Maybe it helps.... One sec. EDIT: Done. Try block ID 195 & 196, but keep in mind that on the Tekkit servers the Block Ids are the default ones and doesn't match the ones in your client. That is asking for trouble! EDIT2: Hang on a minute... I didn't really believe that you couln't set the Block Ids for More Pistons and I'm absolutely right once again. You CAN set the block ids. I'll make a configuration file for you, just hang on. (Last) Update!: Here ya go... http://www.multiupload.nl/BCRKCS70RH Just tested it, placed a piston of the mod and a redstone torch next to it. It did work perfect. It should work if you don't have loads of other mods extra installed already. (It IS Forestry friendly.) Now, go change IC2 back for Gods sake! Actually, never change block ids from Tekkit mods. Bad decision...
  5. Hi... I don't really have much experience with FreeBSD, but still I have to ask you this: Which Java version have you got installed? Be sure to have that up-to-date! (Version 7, NOT version 6) If that isn't the problem, then I have no solution for you I'm afraid. Maybe someone else.

  7. If you tried this to do in the new 3.0.4 server, chances are that you're lucky. That's IF you didn't remove the mcr files out of the regions folder of your savegame already... Go to your server savegame folder, then go into the regions folder and check if the files ending with the .mcr extension are still there. Then, simply remove the files ending with the extension .mca and that should do it. After that, start the world with the old tekkit server and remove the farming shit and turn off all machines and whatever you've going on in your world. When you're done with that, follow the instructions on this page very carefully: http://www.technicpack.net/forums/threads/so-you-want-to-convert-your-world-to-tekkit-3-0.9492/page-4#post-81549 If all goes well, you're ready to try load it up again in the new 3.0.4 server when you've done all of the above. P.S.: BTW, make a backup next time!!!
  8. Ah, I see it requires ModloaderMP. Well, that isn't included in Tekkit anymore. It won't work with it either, so don't try it. It WILL crash. In other words, it is clear that it isn't possible to use this mod with Tekkit anymore. I didn't know the real reason behind it myself, just that it doesn't work. Now I know why.
  9. Didn't see your reply. You're welcome. Glad it helped, cool mod indeed. :)
  10. Normally, this error you get when someone with a 1.2 client tries to log into a 1.1 server. In this case, maybe it is something different. Are you sure everything is update date? (Both client and server)
  11. Well, you don't even post the error here. How are we supposed to help you, if we don't know what's wrong on your side?
  12. Simple answer: Just don't install it. There is a reason why it isn't in Tekkit. It causes problems and could fuck up your worlds really bad. Advanced answer: Don't install it! If you still want to have it, (dumb decision) I believe you can just drop it in the mods folder and it will work.
  13. Start looking at the wiki of Computercraft and ask on their forum about this. They're gonna be a better help (if you lucky) than us here.
  14. If you have to overwrite some existing files, it's very good possible it will conflict indeed. Also, never alter minecraft.jar. Instead alter modpack.jar.
  15. Dude... Just use Redpower alloy cables. Why have an extra mod that does exact the same? I don't see the point here. P.S.: Tekkit server doesn't use modloader anymore... It uses the modloader of Forge.
  16. Ah... I see what you mean now. You don't need this patch anymore for a 3.0.4 server. Skip it, just install Coreprotect and you'll be fine. Just keep in mind that it doesn't recover Redpower panels and stuff like that and it won't restore Redpower cables either. The rest will be restored but things like machines are sometimes facing the wrong way, also keep that in mind. Don't rely fully on plugins like this, backup often!!!
  17. Why don't you just try it out with some friends if it works before asking? Lazy?
  18. ^^ No, isn't neccesary, but it doesn't hurt either...
  19. Nvm, you got the point. That's what counts here. :)
  20. Don't sign your posts. I tried this before with 3.0.3, it worked. You are doing something wrong.
  21. You are using an outdated version of the Technic launcher. I had this myself for a short amount of time, because I used a cracked version of the launcher on a non-premium account. (It's Premium now) When you update to version 1.0.1.3, it will work correctly and place the content in the proper directories. What you could do, although updating is the only correct way to do it, is making the .minecraft folder and the tekkit folder exactly the same. In other words, delete the content of the .minecraft folder, go to the tekkit folder, CTRL-A + CTRL-C, go back to your .minecraft folder and CTRL-V. That should work, but yet again... Just update your technic launcher if you have a premium account!!!
  22. I can see why you want to use this. I've just seen the showcase video and after that I installed it myself. It contains Electrical engines and a Buildcraft Minecraft Joules meter. Very nice. It's very simple if you didn't add loads of extra mods to Tekkit already. Be sure to use the right version! That's absolutely step one. On the minecraftforum thread of this mod there are serveral download links. Be sure you to use v1.28 client for MC 1.2.5, BC 2.2.14, and IC2 1.95b for the client and for the server you must use the v1.28 Bukkit unofficial port by halvors. Rename both the client and server files, so the file names will begin with a Z. After that, paste the proper files in your mod directory of the server and client and then use this configuration file I generated for both the server and client. The URL to the config file is here: http://www.multiupload.nl/1ZYCNKQTVR Put that in the config directories. That configuration file is Forestry friendly and you MUST use it, because the mod uses block ids that are in use by Railcraft. If you follow my instructions correctly, you should be able to use this from now on. The other players of the server have to do this as well in their clients. Be aware of that and you'll be good to go. At your service, I hope this helps.
  23. Eh.... I got this: Technic Forums - Error The requested page could not be found. Did you accidently post the wrong link for some reason?
  24. I suggest you have a look into Redpower Pneumatic tubes. They do what you're looking for.
  25. No, it isn't dumb... You're just lazy. Anyway, I suggest you take a look at the Woopa Gaming channel @ Youtube. (http://www.youtube.com/user/WoopaGaming/videos) The videos on that channel are mostly Bukkit plugin related.
