  1. No, extra folders shouldn't be a problem. Are you sure that it's actually a zip file, and not .zip.rar or something like that?
  2. You probably zipped it wrong. The zip folder should look like this: Modpack.zip Bin Mods Core mods Config Not this: Modpack.zip Modpack folder Bin Mods Core mods Config Make sure it's set up like the first example (when you open the .zip it should just be 4 folders not a folder containing them).
  3. The nether should be dimension 1. Make sure to keep a backup just in case I'm wrong though.
  4. Try restoring it from a backup. And don't use MCEdit on modded maps - it's only built to use Vanilla Minecraft blockIDs. With mods you have 4095 block IDs, while Vanilla has 250. This leads to MCEdit completely screwing up any blockIDs it doesn't recognise in many cases, and it's more than likely that this is the cause of the error. I'm not sure if this crash actually is caused by McEdit, but it's worth avoiding, unless you like mining turtle ore and netherbrick fence trees.
  5. In the config for Mystcraft, the option to disable Cave Worlds is called "generateNether" or something like that It definitely references Nether.
  6. Just rename their player.dat to your name.
  7. Industrial Miner is banned for not bothering to repaint himself after what looks like a rather nasty industrial accident, so he is obviously lazy and should be banned for laziness.
  8. Phantomsight is banned for stealing a baby. Even if it is a chicken baby, it's still evil!
  9. I think that's someone's butt spinning because they saw the new launcher. In anime style. Hey, that's a good idea! Soupa, draw Tekkit anime!
  10. The gear underneath the modpack's picture on the right hand side of the launcher. You might be interested to know that the forums has an edit button underneath each of your posts, next to the report button. It's very useful and prevents multi posting :)
  11. Press that little gear underneath the modpack image on the bar on the left hand side of the launcher, then click "Reset Pack". I don't think this affects your saves, but it may be worth making a backup just in case.
  12. You pretty much just need to clear the cache and redownload. The launcher hasn't removed the mods before adding the new ones, so you have the same mod twice.
  13. That message says that you've got the 3.1.2 client and a 3.1.3 server. If you really did do either of my suggestions, you've done it wrong.
  14. I think your server is using Tekkit 3.1.3. Update or switch to a 3.1.2 server.
  15. Guys, help! The server has become sentient and is sending me friend requests on Facebook D:
  16. Looked at it again. It overwrites a .class file, and so does Forge. Only problem is, it isn't compatible with Forge. It might work with no mods, but it won't work if you have anything else which affects the lava class, such as Forge. If you want it, you probably won't be able to get it working with many other mods.
  17. I'll see if I can clear a few things up here, and maybe give you a few ideas. For Mystcraft ages, they're pretty customizeable but, unless something's changed recently, you can't go to the nether from them. I'm sure there are plugins which you could add which would allow you to create a portal from one though. I'm not sure if it's possible to make a second Nether using Mystcraft, but with all the new options added it's possible. Several plugins can protect land, such as worldguard, factions and towny. There's plenty of choice for this one, so you can probably just do a search on the Bukkit website and find a list of plugins and take your pick. If they're likely to destroy stuff then regret it, you may want to consider a rollback plugin too, which can allow the admin to reset an area to what it was before (for example, if someone's house "accidentally" burned down, you could simply restore it to what it was an hour ago). I'm not too sure about running multiple worlds like normal with plugins, but that seems to be what Multiverse is specialised in. There may be alternatives, but I don't know them. If Mystcraft fails, it's probably the safest bet if you can get it to work.
  18. I think that mod's outdated, so it probably won't work.
  19. Try redownloading it, that sometimes works. (The modpack, not the launcher).
  20. Updating to 1.5 shouldn't really affect the server - mIDas can cover any new IDs. We've already had this discussion, and everyone agreed that they could just use Mystcraft or go to a different area to get new resources, and just keep IDs as similar as possible using mIDas etc.
  21. I can't see the images, but I'm going to assume it's just a large black open plain. This is called Limbo, and is accessed by dieing in a pocket dimension. If it is, walk (don't dig, that doesn't work I think - could be wrong on that though) to the bottom of the dimension, and you should be able to fall through. When you do that, you'll be teleported to a random location in the overworld. This often sends you thousands of blocks away (for example, my first time in limbo I ended up 16,500 blocks away from where I started).
  22. planetguy should be a moderator because he's pulsing white and hissing... I'm not sure I'm going to last long if I don't say this, especially since that arrow's pointing towards me
  23. I don't think it's quite dead yet. Classic is old, I think we have to put it out of it's misery. It obviously can't be any entertainment since it doesn't have anvils, hoppers and sideways logs! Quick, pass the large stick! Let's beat the crap out of it until it dies!
  24. Every time I see mooseman now I will think of this picture
