  1. You need to make a file called "modpack.jar", put it in the bin folder, and place the contents of minecraft.jar mods into your modpack.jar (an easy way to do this is to download Forge and rename it "modpack.jar", then put everything in that.
  2. I'm on the server at the moment, if anyone wants to join me. Awesome spawn shack by the way, Soupa!
  3. You can make it support plugins. Just go ask the Bukkit people to make a plugin for Minecraft 1.4.7 which removes light from the sky. You don't need to mention Tekkit, and I advise you not to since you'll probably be sent here again, and if they ask "Why 1.4.7?", just say it's because of mods. Problem solved.
  4. You enter the platform URL you get on your modpack's page on the technic platform site.
  5. I think I remember this being an Optifine issue, and it was fixable by updating Forge or something.
  6. You need to put the pack on the platform for the platform URL. Use the Technicpack.net website.
  7. Could you not use a plugin which makes the world permanently night? This seems to be what you're asking for.
  8. Why do you need to make it a custom pack? It will work fine on any of the packs. I'm pretty sure this is based on the old launcher, too, unless they added custom modpack folders to the new folder for some reason.
  9. Probably something about us supporting piracy, at a guess. Because we obviously support piracy by blaming the people distributing the Minecraft.jar for distributing stuff illegally.
  10. Switch the configuration options to allow input for blue in the top. In simpler terms, click that yellow square at the top of configuration until it turns blue.
  11. So how are they meant to know that these modpacks contain the Minecraft.jar? To make this clear, although I hope you already know, the platform doesn't host the files. They can't just go through some folder and instantly find all the packs containing Minecraft.jar. Perhaps a report feature would work, but if you want them to actually include that, a hostile attitude is not the way to go about it.
  12. Let's get to the point here. People are posting the Minecraft.jars. What do you expect anyone to do about it? Telling people it's wrong might cut it down a bit, and hopefully this will be made clear in tutorials soon to come, but the Technic team can't check every single modpack which gets uploaded to the platform.
  13. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=minecraft.jar+download&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-gb&client=safari#hl=en&sugexp=les%3B&gs_rn=5&gs_ri=tablet-gws&tok=h7HkhvYx1aRvux2RF-6dXg&pq=minecraft.jar%20download&cp=16&gs_id=w&xhr=t&q=minecraft.jar+free&es_nrs=true&pf=p&sclient=tablet-gws&client=safari&oq=minecraft.jar+fr&gs_l=&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.&bvm=bv.43287494,d.ZWU&fp=723967f56a678d41&biw=1024&bih=672 Looks like you'd better start sueing Google too! Look, people on the Internet have posted the Minecraft.jar! This must be stopped, Google must control everyone on the Internet to stop this happening!
  14. Then you're making your modpack incorrectly and it is in fact you who should be sued by Mojang. The Platform doesn't host the files, nor distribute them. It's your responsibility.
  15. Out of interest, why does the application form seem to contain so many personal and irrelevant questions? I can understand the need to prevent trolls and greifers, but what do questions like "What classes do you have?" and "Who is one of your biggest role models, What have they taught you" seem both useless and irrelevant to me. Has Ysharma been screwing with the application form again?
  16. Really? I found it fairly easily after googling "faithful texture pack tekkit" and looking down the page.
  17. This has been caused by using MCEdit on a map before, I think. Did you do anything like that to your world?
  18. Did you press enter before you finished or something? It looked as if it was going to be a story of why you can't play a game, but at the moment it's cut off at the part where you tell us why you can't play it D: Please fill the rest in, I want to know the story!
  19. The ICBM mod adds some grenades for Tier 1 explosives. Yep, incendiary explosives are T1. And a lot of fun!
  20. Optifine is built to work with Forge. In a way, you're not actually replacing anything, just adding to it. Or at least that's how I think it works - the Optifine files should contain the Forge stuff too. Even if that's wrong, my statement about it being meant to work with Forge is still true. There's nothing to worry about.
  21. Isn't it already in Tekkit Lite? Or have they not actually added it yet?
  22. Try reloading the modpack. If that doesn't work, beg Andrew to reboot the server. One of them will work.
  23. Anywhere will work. I made a folder in my Downloads folder - it works fine.
  24. Mostly, no. Mods generally allow packs like this as server packs. As long as it's not publicly available, which keeping it as hidden covers, it's permissions free.
  25. Remove all the [iD here]-1 parts, and swap the rest over. Then use the same process.
