how do i add my own pack into technic launcher
theprolo replied to Blackbolt101's topic in Cafe Lame
Did you just look at the title of the thread and decide to post in it or something? Seriously, if you're going to post somewhere, at least read what's already been posted by other people. -
I'm not certain about this one, but I've seen people saying that piping into he bottom of the tank will work - try that.
-
I think there's a "Use custom fonts" option in the graphics settings somewhere.

Perhaps it mostly generates in desert biomes - I remember last time I saw Saltpeter it was in a desert. It would explain the lack of it.

Can I get back to the overworld from a mystcraft world?!
theprolo replied to m_hulot's topic in Tekkit Lite Discussion
Mystcraft isn't a jar mod, I don't think it has been for a while. It definitely used to be, but not anymore. And I meant the server mods folder - removing it from there on a server will stop anyone using it on that server. You can do the same for SSP, but you won't be able to join servers with Mystcraft on them. You're right about /tpx though - it's definitely the best method. -
Help: how to switch off a redstone signal
theprolo replied to teh_fox's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
For this, the AND and NAND gate should work almost exactly the same - the only difference being the NAND gate stops the redstone when the lever is on, and the AND gate stops it when the lever is off. Just do whichever one suits you best, because it should make very little difference. -
Can I get back to the overworld from a mystcraft world?!
theprolo replied to m_hulot's topic in Tekkit Lite Discussion
Ok, don't worry about that then - the server's multiplayer. I also forgot to mention that you can also spawn in a portal block, use it to go to the nether, then go from the nether to the overworld. It can bring you out in some strange places, but at least it's in the overworld. -
Help: how to switch off a redstone signal
theprolo replied to teh_fox's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
I haven't tested the AND gate, I'm too lazy, but if you can't disable one of the inputs, try putting a redstone torch on the side that doesn't have anything going to it. -
I think it sometimes disappears when you change the GUIscale or go fullscreen. Have you done either of them?

Help: how to switch off a redstone signal
theprolo replied to teh_fox's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
You could use a redpower AND gate. If you leave the lever on, when your temperature monitor sends a signal to the AND gate, it will output redstone. If you turn the lever off, it won't. You'll need to enable only 2 sides - the lever side, and the monitor side. This should be possible in the menu opened by right-clicking it. -
I searched the Bukkit website a bit, and found one which seems to be what you're looking for: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/timefold/ Enjoy!

Try reading the forum rules. They can tell you a lot, and it saves you accidentally breaking a rule. I would really recommend it. Because it's obvious you haven't. http://forums.technicpack.net/forums/global-rules.18/

Hmmm... You know, sometimes I wonder if people can actually read their previous posts. You don't appear to be able to remember this part at all. If you want a decent response, giving one back is always a good idea. Do you honestly expect your raging like that to be met with everyone suddenly kissing your ass? You over-exaggerated pretty much everything in your first post. You acted arrogant and far more of an "Asshat" than the people you accused of being "Asshats" themselves. Did you honestly expect a post like that to be met with a positive response? Here's an example: Name 5 major map-corrupting bugs in the same build of any 5 builds of Tekkit - Classic or Lite. They cannot be Development builds - they're meant to be buggy. You said that "all" the Tekkit releases you've tried have had them, so why don't you back up your points up for once. Don't act like you have the moral high ground when your entire post history is riddled with hypocrisy. All I have left to say now is, unless you can get some real points, and can "back up your statements a bit", :dogout:

So the same dusts are creating different ingots? That is extremely strange, I haven't heard of that happening before. What type of furnace are you using?

Go into the .techniclauncher folder and delete the lastlogin file.

If you get your Nvidia card to run on Java (only necessary on a computer with integrated graphics, otherwise it's done already), you should have absolutely no problem with Tekkit on that computer. I have a laptop with a non-overclocked I5 core and worse graphics card, and I usually run at around 120FPS. I've successfully ran a server and played on the same computer with over a hundred mods installed with no lag, so I think it's safe to say that your computer will be able to handle without much trouble.

This is awesome! Thanks for sharing it, I'd been wondering how to make one of these work well.
-
I didn't proof read my posts. Let this be a lesson to you! As for my other one, well... There was a guide on how to draw an owl. I followed it and came up with a masterpiece that I decided to share with the world.

People's grammar gets better. Yours gets worse. You are suddenly followed around the Internet by a swarm of trolls who have nobody else to complain about the grammar of. I wish I was a better troll (Insane trolling powers!)
-
Are you sure? Lagspikes like that are mostly fixable. Out of interest, you wouldn't happen to have a Nvidia graphics card, would you? Because those are easily fixed to work with Tekkit better.
-
There was a lot of information in Jay?'s post, wastpik. Using the wrong video card and having a bad computer can also cause lagspikes, and she gave you an answer from what she could see. There's nothing wrong with that, she's actually trying to help, not mocking you. It would still be useful to see your computer specs and the amount of RAM allocated etc., since without that, Jay?'s answer is the best anyone can give you without pure speculation.

Try posting a bug in the Technic Launcher Bugs forum if your game won't download, and the Tekkit Lite Bugs forum if it won't start up properly etc., and make sure you post plenty of details. Where it doesn't work, what happens, and an error log is all useful. You can find where to get your error log in Common Problems and Solutions, at the top of those forum sections, IIRC. Remember to fill in all the fields, so we can work your problem out more easily. It may also be worth checking out the names of the first page of the bugs forum to check out if anyone else hashed your problem, then read through in case there's a solution there already. It may also be a good idea to read the forum rules, since you broke one in your post. You might also want to edit that out of your post - nobody minds if you recognise and fix the problem before it gets noticed.
-
If they start yelling at us about stuff which isn't even true, then refuse to accept that they are wrong, what would you actually expect us to do, then? The trolling starts when the explaining fails. Sometimes it works. Other times it eliminates the problem. What's not to like?

Exhibit A: <--------- You be an idiot, you get your warning, you fix the problem, and then you don't be an idiot again, and nobody will mind.
