It's an issue with Optifine, and can be fixed by updating both Forge and Optifine(in that order).

It's working fine for me. Strange. All I can suggest is checking the version numbers and redownloading both client and server.

Would I be correct in thinking that you have GregTech in your modpack? If so, either remove it or set the modpack to force directory change in the Platform options. The maker of GregTech decided to make his mod incompatible with anything containing the word "technic" in it.

Download it and put it in the mods folder. If that doesn't work, go make a thread about it.

You need to select an install directory. Basically, just make a folder somewhere(anywhere will work), call it whatever you want, and select that.

Try just running the program normally, and see if that works. If just typing the program name to run it doesn't work, you'll know it's installed wrong.

Use a startup command for that. As for the program not found, that usually means that the program doesn't exist. Check the spelling and that you actually have a program called that.

Yeah, excavate does all that itself. One thing I really do like from Buildcraft is the Builders - they saved me from suicide when I decided to move house, and my house was a huge castle.

You could try renaming their Playerdata to your name. I works, I've done it before.

You need to open Rednet. Stick a wireless modem to the side of your computer and run command rednet.open("SideThatModemIsOn") In lua.

You need to use your Minecraft login. You also need Premium Minecraft (I'm not accusing you of Piracy here, but it's a mistake that a lot of people make)

Yep, you got it in one. Most of Redpowers stuff uses Metadata(damage values) to prevent spamming the block IDs. Things like the gem blocks and ores share IDs. It's all in there, somewhere.

You can find symbols in other dungeons, such as Dimensional Doors loot chests. I've done this before. However, due to the huge amount of them, it can take ages.

So if he really did get a virus from it, then why did nobody else? Chances are he just went on other dodgy websites. You don't need to download anything to get a virus.

You need to find the error log in your .technic/Tekkit folder. It's called "ForgeModLoader-0.log". Post the contents. Please post them in code tags (the symbol next to the speech marks button on the top of the writing thing on the forums, the image is {}#), because otherwise it will fill up the entire screen and be hard to read. If it's too big, cut off the first part and only post what's needed.

Try posting the error logs. We can't really see what the problem is without them.

Are you sure you installed Optifine correctly? You need to put it in the modpack.jar, not the minecraft.jar.
