No, there isn't. EE2, the mod with energy condensers, is for Minecraft 1.2.5. It won't work with Tekkit Lite, which is for Minecraft 1.4.7.

Nope, the install directory makes absolutely no difference. You can just spread packs around completely different places and it'll still work.

I'm pretty sure you could get away with posting in the Modder's Metropolis. Not everything there is a mod, such as mIDas, just programs for Minecraft.

I'm pretty sure there's an option in the modpack settings on the platform which allows you to select the Minecraft version.

Try using Aqueous Accumulators - it's the same thing but without the water actually being removed. Much safer, and a lot easier. I don't think they even need power - just attach more water source blocks to increase speed.

They spawn over lava pools don't they? Track it down and fill it in. Not certain if it'll work, but it'll be interesting to find out.
