If you add it back in once the world's been loaded once, it should work fine without you losing anything. The mod is Dimensional Doors, by the way.

Not able to use Tekkit Lite items on the server
theprolo replied to Milzit's topic in Tekkit Lite Discussion
I think Forge will tell you if you have mismatched IDs (or that could be missing IDs), so it's more likely that you have an installation error. Check that it is actually a Tekkit Lite server you're running. -
Unfortunately, it is impossible to add "layers" to your modpack. I suggest making a modpack for each "layer" of your modpack, then switching between them when you want to change "layer".

Are you sure that the IDs are the same, and that it's definitely a Tekkit Lite server? -
It won't until Tekkit Classic gets updated past Minecraft 1.2.5 (there's no way to know when this will be, so don't ask).

Try switching to gold pipes or liquiducts - they might transport more water faster, so you'll be less likely to run out of coolant in the engines. It looks to me like those pipes just can't bring water through fast enough for the engines there.

Just do this^ The updates are for later versions of Minecraft. You don't need to update them. Updating them will prevent you from joining servers. Ignore that message.

Tekkit Classic 3.1.3. Any before that should also include it.
-
It was removed in EE3, and no replacement has been added yet - although there are plans for something similar in future.
-
The Condensor isn't in EE3, which is in Tekkit Lite not Tekkit Classic. All of the Tekkit Classic 3 builds should include the energy condenser, since they use EE2.

Could be a dodgy ad on the Minecraft Forums.

They're just using the old launcher. You have the new (and far superior) launcher. You can access the options by clicking that little gear underneath the modpack's logo on the left.
-
Oh, that. You need to select a different install directory - any folder anywhere will do. Andrew did that to prevent DRM. I currently have the TBR modpack files in my downloads folder, you can just put them anywhere. EDIT: I removed every single mod (not just the ones added), and the mods from coremods too. Same crash.
-
No, it isn't. EE2 isn't updated for Minecraft 1.4.7 - the latest version is still Minecraft 1.2.5.

I like the logo and background of the pack in the launcher - it makes it look awesome. EDIT: Shame the modpack crashes on startup though... 2013-03-30 09:33:24 [iNFO] [sTDERR] java.lang.NullPointerException 2013-03-30 09:33:24 [iNFO] [sTDERR] at java.io.Reader.<init>(Unknown Source) 2013-03-30 09:33:24 [iNFO] [sTDERR] at java.io.InputStreamReader.<init>(Unknown Source) 2013-03-30 09:33:24 [iNFO] [sTDERR] at bn.a(StringTranslate.java:77) 2013-03-30 09:33:24 [iNFO] [sTDERR] at bn.a(StringTranslate.java:117) 2013-03-30 09:33:24 [iNFO] [sTDERR] at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.a(Minecraft.java:416) 2013-03-30 09:33:24 [iNFO] [sTDERR] at asq.a(SourceFile:56) 2013-03-30 09:33:24 [iNFO] [sTDERR] at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.run(Minecraft.java:746) 2013-03-30 09:33:24 [iNFO] [sTDERR] at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) 2013-03-30 09:33:44 [iNFO] [sTDOUT] Exiting mod pack

So basically, he's saying "I PUT TOGETHER OTHER PEOPLE'S STUFF GIVE ME MONEY!", then raging when people don't allow him to...

Donations? Seems legit.

I can't think of any mod authors that actually disallow private packs (it would be pointless if they did - nobody would be able to play their mods on their own - they would have to use another modpack which would be pointless), so as long as it's hidden mod authors are generally fine with it.
-
As far as I know, buildcraft pipes just screwed up with it so it auto-blacklisted them. This might have changed, but it was certainly true back in 1.2.5 on the version I used.
-
Only certain stuff, for instance pipes.
