  1. I'd rather not if it can be avoided - I've put a lot of effort into building my house, and it's more than just machinery that makes it valuable to me - the aesthetics took me ages
  2. I've had an idea for the corrupt dimension. It's a little bit different from the current plan, but I think it would turn out pretty nicely, although it might involve more work. How about the corrupt dimension is sort of made up of abandoned Aztec-style pyramid ruins, and the only "outside" is courtyards and areas where the walls have fallen in etc.. I think it could turn out pretty nicely if you did it right - it would make it seem like it used to be colonized, but the previous occupants perished when the corruption took over. Now all that's left is the endless ruins of their civilization and the creatures of the corruption. The dragon could spawn at the peak of every large pyramid.
  3. Just to add to that little bug report, Power Armor will charge with UE. Great. Except that UE seems to be messed up on the server. No UE ores are spawning, and the recipes don't work. Seems to work fine on the Kitty Jail server. Perhaps we should make a request on luke's modpack request page |:3
  4. Seems like that corrupted dimension is going to look pretty good. What style are you going to go for with it? Plan and normal, just purple? Skylands maybe? Overgrown ruins?
  5. Wait until they're ready for now. It would seem strange if they just randomly started appearing everywhere.
  6. Is it? I've had login message and all of the dimension mods working together fine. It could be versions, but you might want to check that you have the right version of login message or something. You could also use any plugin with an MOTD to do the same thing as login message.
  7. Deleting the mod server side might work, but it really depends on whether it changes basic Minecraft stuff (like Railcraft overrides carts). A little experimentation will soon find that out, and if it does break it it's easy to fix. Try that, and in most cases it won't cause any problems clientside or server side.
  8. Are you sure you don't mean Snarks there? It's what I instantly thought of when I saw it. Oh, and Gonome maybe? (Assuming you've played OF too, of course)
  9. That would be a pretty awesome idea. Perhaps instead of actually affecting blocks, the dimension seeping into the overworld could just mean corrupting mobs.
  10. That would be pretty awesome. You could have an epic description like this: However, using the arts of magic are not without dangers, the most prominent one being the corruption of the area around you. Using magic weakens the barriers between dimensions, and the nearest dimension to ours... Is no fairyland. Use too much magic too fast in the same area and this dimension, widely known as the "Corrupt underworld", will begin to seep into ours. Only rebalancing the local background magic can release our dimension from the cold grip if the Underworld, but this cannot be achieved without traversing the Underworld itself to slay a mighty creature. The sudden disappearance of a magical being large enough will create a vacuum of magic, which will lower the background magic levels and pull the dimensions apart. And Markarthian, it could basically be a "corrupted" area surrounding a tear in dimensions - not necessarily a copy of flux. It would be nice if there were less harsh effects of overusing magic, such as poison effects and summoning creatures too.
  11. How about abusing magic will basically start to make both the overworld and corrupt overworld start to merge, creating a part of the overworld which is corrupt, perhaps a bit like TC2 taint, except not naturally spawning and not block destroying/corrupting - just really bad effects such as dangerous creatures spawning or something.

    WarFrame

Yeah, those are the ones. The way that you spend so long killing them that the rest of the infestation mob you because you stay in one place too long is annoying, and makes soloing them near impossible.
  13. Just download it through the launcher. You don't need to install anything yourself other than the launcher, and it might be an idea to completely remove the .technic directory you made already. It'll create a properly made version and download the correct version of Minecraft.

    WarFrame

Yeah, I've played Warframe, and it's pretty awesome. The fact that it's free to play is pretty amazing, too. You'd think a good quality game like that would cost money. I haven't got very far in it, but I'm enjoying it a lot. Does anyone else hate those zombie-ish things (I forgot their name)?
  15. Try reinstalling the pack. The download might have messed up somewhere.
  16. If there's an update for EE3 it's probably for Minecraft 1.5.1. You'll just have to wait until the rest of the mods reach that Minecraft version.
  17. Yes, it's part of the new launcher. You can find it under the modpack icons in it. If you're still using the old launcher, you really need to upgrade
  18. I'm happy to announce that I've set up a public Tesseract frequency connected to my lava pump called "L.A.V.A.". Anyone is welcome to use it (although if the chunk unloads due to a server reboot it may not work).
  19. Quarries use up to 32 MJ/t now I think, so as long as you get 1MJ/t in there, any more will just speed it up.
  20. The old philosopher's stone actually had the same functionality. You just need to press C, and you have an instant portable crafting table ;)
  21. It basically opens a crafting table. It's not transmuting anything, it just crafts.
  22. No, it's just compatibility for those mods - they're there whether the mod to be compatible with is or not, but they don't include those mods. Basically, all they include is stuff for Minefactory Reloaded such as being able to use trees from other mods.
  23. They're just the different modules of Minefactory Reloaded.
  24. Looks like a world reset. Has the modpack been updated?
  25. Not much of a problem - if it can support FTB's mods then it can support the vast majority of Tekkit's mods.
