Is Tekkit Lite still being developed on?
theprolo replied to PitifulCanine3's topic in Tekkit Lite Discussion
Jmanfffreak is right really - you're taking something good the Technic team has done for you and putting it in a bad light. You worry about worlds and save games being lost? They would be almost completely destroyed by removing some of the core mods of Tekkit Lite. Instead of ruining your worlds by forcing a destructive update on you, they've given you the option to stay with what you had. Is that really so bad? -
No wonder she's crying, there's four snipers about to shoot her through the head...
-
Isn't Galacticraft a coremod?
-
I think you can toggle the slipperiness in the config.
-
Put it in the mods folder.
-
Nope. EE2, the mod with Energy Condensers, is no longer being updated. It's incompatible with Tekkit. You might also want to read the forum rules, by the way.
-
Planetguy is banned for pointing TNT at me. That stuff's dangerous!
-
Tevilla maybe? Well, it is a Technic and Vanilla server...
-
Nope. It's too weak. It generates literally less than 1MJ/t, which is too small for pipes. Even if it could, it would be a terrible power source and you'd need to spend more resources trying to make it even remotely productive than it would take to just make any other engine easily. I recommend using Steam or Magmatic engines instead.
-
No, because you're running Tekkit Lite. Tekkit Lite is for Minecraft 1.4.7, but Tekkit is 1.5.1.
-
Redstone engines won't work on conductive pipes. They can only work on wooden pipes and pumps.
-
I'm pretty sure the Tekkit team don't actually make the mods, so I'd suggest asking the Buildcraft team this, not the modpack team.
-
Railcraft was removed because the owner changed it's license, which prevented the Technic team from using it in the pack.
-
Aren't boilers from Railcraft, which isn't in Tekkit though? Or have I missed something? I haven't actually played the new Tekkit yet...
-
They can't really overheat - just overload. I don't remember any instances when the heat has been the cause of the seizing up - that only happens with an energy buildup. Overheating only really happens with combustion engines.
-
Nope. They can't overheat, and if the power buildup gets too much they automatically turn off.

I believe those players selling a "hacked client" are actually trying to con you. They're actually exploiting a bug in NEI, which doesn't check permissions when changing game mode. Perhaps they need a client to do this, but either way there appears to be a fix. Someone mentioned in another thread that deleting NEI from your server fixed the problem, so I recommend doing this as soon as possible. The bug is unlikely to be fixed at this stage, so if this works then you'll unfortunately have to stick with it.

Put this mod Please ( Armor Movement Mod)
theprolo replied to Devil_Evolution's topic in Tekkit Discussion
Basically all this mod would add is a life vest - which is pretty useless, ice skates - equally useless when compared to MPS, and the mountain boots - while they could be useful it seems like a rather useless idea to saturate the quality of the modpack with so many useless and pretty low quality items for one potentially useful thing. MPS far outclasses basically everything in this mod, and does it in a much more stylish, technological way fitting the pack. -
There's no loss in liquid AFAIK - that's the power. The amount of pumps you use can be based on the amount that you actually need it. One is normally enough, but doesn't look as awesome. Another good method of power generation which is mentioned a lot is Biofuel. Using MFR farms and making Biofuel off the byproducts can create pretty large amounts of power very fast. Tree farms can be doubly powerful, because the excess apples and saplings can be used for biofuel, and the wood can be made into charcoal and used to fuel Steam Engines.

Sh3it4n should be banned for having two faces in his avatar - how are we meant to know which one we're talking to? D: At a guess, Brian Ray was a spambot who posted in this thread then got his post removed. EDIT: yep. XyCraft

It's not really a bug though, Nitus... It's just him not putting in correct Minecraft account details. You need to put in the login details that you use for Minecraft, not the Technic website. You also need to have bought Minecraft and if you've migrated to a Mojang account you need to use your Email instead of account name. That just about covers it, really.

Got this + IC2 + forestry + project bench = win
theprolo replied to dwfmagik's topic in Tekkit Discussion
Not anymore it doesn't Quantum has been nerfed quite viciously since 1.2.5. MPS is probably a lot better at preventing lava damage now. -
Duping bug: Deep Storage Unit + Automatic Crafting Table Mk2
theprolo replied to christoph's question in Tekkit Lite
How else is the bug meant to be fixed? The mod makers need to know what's going wrong where, so while this could cause problems in short term it'll most likely speed up the fix for the bug. -
In what way? They seem to work equally fine to me.
