You don't install it into the server, it's a client mod.

Luke's a prime example of why you shouldn't try to remove ducks on your own. He accidentally cut the Swan containment wire, and fried it. It's not the worst that can happen if you do it wrong, either...

Try the Twilight Forest mod. It involves a lot of dungeon-crawlerish stuff

You put the mod in the mods folder. No config errors etc. should be caused by it, you just chuck it in, start it up and press P to take pics.

You might want to check this out, it's what creates those 128-bit images. Pretty hand for creating the wiki.

That's the internal buffer. They don't require that much power, and most only run on something like 4MJ/t at full speed. The actual power usage of each machine is shown in the GUI, in the top-right tab. Once the internal buffers are filled, only the power usage will be used in the machinery, so your power drain will drop dramatically. If you can input enough power, the 100MJ output should be fine for at least one quarry on top easily, perhaps two.

Does Ice still work in the Nether? One of the Thermal Expansion machines, the Glacial Precipitator, will create Ice, snow and snowballs on demand for next to no cost IIRC.

Steam engines won't overheat if you attach them to redstone energy conduits, and if you don't and they overload, they will simply stop instead of blowing up. No explosions from TE machinery :P

His server is still Tekkit 3.1.3. Tell him to switch to 3.1.2.

Does it move liquids? It would be nice if it does. My flying fortress needs a paddling pool...

Better Than Wolves is basically the most incompatible mod in Minecraft, on purpose. You're unlikely to get it running with any mod other than ones specifically built to work with it.
