Yes, pretty much. I think there's only one type of each ore which actually spawns, but processing it in different ways may give different versions. For example, macerating may give you a different copper to smelting it, but if you stick to one method you'll be fine.

That's what the lexicon is for. They should mostly work in all recipes using that ore though - Forge mod loader added a feature for cross-compatibility. Thermal Expansion copper will work fine for Ic2 and RP2 recipes.

It just converts between different mod ores. For example, I think at least 3 different mods in Tekkit Lite have their own type of Copper. The lexicon switches between them. Use NEI to find out uses and recipes. Typing in "ore" in the NEI search bar should show you all the ores. There are quite a few, but it's worth having them all. They're all useful.

It outputs power in stacks of 128EU. Once it reaches that, it will send the EU to your machines. By the looks of things, it only seems that your machines are not gaining power. They just aren't receiving enough, and are probably using everything up too fast for you to see. Try increasing your power input. I recommend Geothermal or Solar energy to do this.

Jason, you are completely misunderstanding the job of anyone here. It is the job of the server administrators to do that, not the people who make the game. Would you complain to Mojang because one of those thousands of servers which are hosted and moderated by kids did something to you? It's not their job to do anything about it. I really think that I should ask what you actually expect to achieve with this post, so I can give you a definitive answer to your question.

You seem to be missing the point. Nobody here can do anything about it. Nobody here can help you any more than they already have. This forum is for talking about Tekkit itself, not for complaining about someone greifing you on a server. If you want to complain about a server, do it in that server's thread where there's a possibility it will do something.

The people you complain about use a free program downloaded off the Internet, and are probably children. The Technic team have no control over what happens in these servers, and never have. Your problems may be problems, but they are completely out of anyone here's control. If what you say is true, then you've done everything there is to do in the circumstances. Complaining here gets you nowhere, and until you realise this, you will simply be wasting your time instead of doing anything remotely useful, to you, your kids, or anyone else. The only thing continued posting well serve to do is act as flamebait. Just drop it, it's really not worth arguing about.

Sorry, misread it and thought that those were what you suspected or something. Gustav's right, you can make diamonds with a stack of coal and obsidian etc.. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if IC2 can turn charcoal into coal. Check the recipes in NEI.

He's probably using an EE2 condenser. Google it, it can transform more than just that. He could also be using an EE2 philosopher's stone, which also lets you transform charcoal to coal and gold to diamonds.
