OBJECTION! In my defense, your Honor, nothing indicated the victim had caught our delicious combo of LotR references. If he indeed understood the subtleties of our exchange, the most appropriate post would have been something along the lines of "somebody should make a Lord of the Ring adventure map", or better, "somebody should make a Lord of the EE power items adventure map". Either way, I'm quite surprised someone said the traditional "Combo Breaker". Unless that's a meme? I'm not sure.

D: It's pretty sad that you didn't get the massive reference out of this.

I would totally love to send my kitty to kombat (Typo intended) the Eater of Worlds. (For the ignorant non-Terrarians, the EoW is a kilometer long, 2 meters large giant rotting worm of corruption and badassness).
-
Red wouldn't do that, he was always very close and involved with his community.

No, the water water strainer isn't in default IC2, only in the converter mod. So you can't pump water directly in the water mills. You can put buckets in them though.

Lawl, that's old stuff, Msknight entered Technic's history as his greatest Keller weeks ago. The threads are still on the first page of the Whale box. Here is one of the greatest saga of idiocy you've ever read. "I'm going to ask my advocate about this this Monday!"

Or you can take a look at one of the awesome server tutorials that can be found here. Wait a sec until I dig them up. Thar : http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/useful-guides-links-server-setup-guides-fixes-patches-more.11408/

I *think* this issue could be caused by your version of optifine. You could try installing another version, like the Standard, over your modpack.jar, to see if it fixes anything. Don't quote me on that. Also, *maybe* you could try refreshing your skin directly from minecraft.net.

You might want to know that the energy link can be placed directly aside the quarry, and it'll still work. I think the conductive wooden pipe does have a loss of energy, so you'd have a slightly better performance.
-
Maybe. The oil and lava fabricators are pretty neat, if you ask me.
-
You're right, this is strange. But converters is in Tekkit, not in Technic, where Transformers replaced it, and the energy link is without any doubt from the converters mod, so... I'm being an idiot, or we have an incoherence here. Uh, http://www.technicpack.net/technic/ In the mod list, the power converters is still there, but I just checked ingame, and Transformers did replace power converters, so there's a little error here. Checked ingame for Tekkit, and there still is converters there. So, we do have an incoherence.

His post is invalid, but not for the reason you're saying it is. First, the new electrical engines are from the Transformers mod, and are in Technic. But OP is using Tekkit, because there 's still the converter mod, since there is the Energy Link. The Energy Link is just like the electrical engines from either mod. There's a little loss of energy, but you can't help it, sadly. The Thaumic generator makes 2 MJ per tick, or 15 EU/t, and you're not asking, but you might want to know it produces 8 amps of RP energy. It's basically the equivalent of 15 IC2 solar panels, 2 steam engines or 4 RP solar panels. It doesn't need any player interaction (No need for cooling, etc) other than a source of vis, making it easier to setup than the combustion engine, who needs oil/fuel AND cooling.

I was always disappointed that the Arabic side of my family (My mom) didn't teach me their language when I was really young, at the same time as French. It would have been pretty cool to be a bilingual from the beginning. Plus, now I would be tri(+1)lingual, with French, English, Latin AND Arabic. I am also interested in learning Danish or Swedish someday, I would love to maybe live or study there for a few years.

As is this creepy Torezulum Golmerchant. Him and his "precious" obsession, he keeps stalking you around. I don't see the reason for this obsession anyway, the film sucks.
-
That person? I thought everybody (Including me) did this.

But... You'd just have to use Swiftwolf to FLY over all that! What's up with this walking bullshit.

One Ring to grief them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to nuke them all and in the lag bind them
-
Oooooooooor he lied.

The inventory interface mod is NEI. Also, I don't know you got this idea, but there isn't asingle item that makes you invisible, at least, not as far as I know.
-
So you're removing CC and "maybe" EE uh. In usual, it's more of the inverse situations, but that's all about what you and your players like. You might just want to know that EE can be used to grief massively, and is difficult to handle on survival servers. If you're really worried about lag, you'll want to educate your players. First, show them how wonderful RP tubes are compared to BC pipes, and tell them to always use the first rather than the second. Once, they've mastered the concept, disable pipes altogether. Next, recall them that timers don't need to all be at 0.2 second to be as useful as possible, and very often only need 1 sec. For example, frames are at their most efficient at .8 sec, .2 actually makes them laggier.

Quit isn't exactly the right word. The game is simply has simply completed, so the developers moved on to their next work. Terraria is a beautiful game that I bought when it was still in Alpha, and followed closely ever since. It tends to be forgotten, but most games tend to follow this kind of progression : Alpha-Beta-Release-End of the development (Examples : Every game ever) Rather than Alpha-Beta-Release-Let's keep adding stuff and removing Herobrine Ad Vitam Eternal! (Examples : Minecraft, Team Fortress (Hats!), Gmod etc...) Terraria attained its full potential, so its all well that it stopped being worked on, otherwise, updates would have started to suck, and nobody would want that. It is excellent as it is, a lot of fun in singleplayer, loads of hilarity in multi, and generally hundreds or so (In my case, 400) good hours of gaming pleasure. Plus, the community forum (In which I was once a well-known member, if I may brag uselessly a bit) is still extremely active, and last I checked, a sort of modding-ish fan made program had been created for even more amusement. I totally recommend it, for the superb retro graphics, for epically awesome content, for the excellent sandbox interpretation and more fanboyisms. 10/10 The Eye of Cthulhu for the win.

Pretty much everybody knows that already, but it's commonly accepted that worlds are "practically" infinite for the purposes of the gameplay.

Well, to be honest, your logic is on pretty shaky ground. Does that mean that we should stop ourselves from using an included feature of the mod because it's too useful? After all, the goal of the game IS to become a powerful overlord that can influence the world noticeably and it's normal that we should try to attain this goal as fast as possible. The fact that macerators can double the output of ores makes it pretty powerful. Does that mean we should stop using it, even though it's an included feature of the mod? Of course not. It's not as if he used the RM furnace dupe and then he complained about how OP it is, he just played the mod, and used the features included in it, like collectors and accelerated mining, and he concluded the progression was too easy and fast. Nothing wrong with that.

So, you say you don't want to go off-topic, and then you ask us to find for you a server because browsing some pages of the section is too boring for you... Ah, the irony. Eh... I was about to respond to this, but it's the morning, it's Sunday, I'm sipping a warm coffee and eating crunchy cereals... I think I'll leave the pleasure to another.
