I would go further to say Thaumcraft is oftentimes more technical than IC2 or RedPower, since you have to research almost 2/3 of the mod. Not to mention you have to manage toxic waste/radiation (Aura vs. Taint), which in IC2 and RedPower there's no worry of smog or many environmental effects apart from 'pump damage' to water and lava lakes, nuclear meltdown (Nukes or reactors), and exploding machines, all of which have comparatively small effects as opposed to a taint covering 20-30 chunks because you sucked all the vis out of the world.

Yeah. Drop and drag the mods into your mods folder and tada! They're in your Technic SSP again (Although for obvious reasons if you have bugs because of it, it's your own fault) and you can use them as you once could. Although I can't guarantee your old worlds won't still be destroyed.

I'd suggest posting your own bug report in the Tekkit Bug Board, as it may not be the same problem. But if you can't uninstall, AVG, make sure you're the admin of your computer. If not, have the admin do it. If you are the only user, try to do it as the Administrator.

I don't have evidence for it, but I do have an instance that is evidence against it. The "Dead Sea Scrolls" may be something you have heard of. If not, here's a link to the wikipedia page about it. In layman's terms, they are a set of scrolls and manuscripts from various biblical eras found all in one location, radiocarbon-dated, paleographically-dated, and they consist of mostly biblical texts and texts relating to some Jewish sects and their beliefs*. All of the Old Testament books in the Bible were included except Esther (It is believed that this is because she was a Jew that married a Persian king and so was looked down upon during that time), and the texts are nearly identical to the Hebrew Bible today (They** were all written in Hebrew). * From what I read and understand, these texts were from a BC era as opposed to the end of BC/Beginning of AD which we all know was around the birth of Christianity. ** They being the Biblical texts. If not, read it and you might be able to figure it out yourself without needing anyone else's help. You'll wanna post a bug report here, and you'll get help much faster.

I dunno, I prefer watching my news on Die Tagesschau than any of the American networks I have access to. I can understand it just fine (Even if they speak a little too quickly for my second-language skills to pick up sometimes), and the news on the show looks more toward the grand scheme of things than my local news station.

Or if you have an energy link, turn EU into MJ, teleport the power, then use another link to turn that MJ into EU again. Although you may have had to manually install it.

Just head on over here for the one Duncan uses, all pre-combined. It has a few missing textures or glitches, but it's almost all up-to-date and it is updated as things go along. There are 64x and 128x versions, and I believe Duncan uses either 128x or 256x (There really isn't that big a difference except in FPS).
