  1. If he is using Internet Explorer, tell him that he should make sure the file extension (the .whatever at the end of the file) is .jar sometimes it will download as .zip and it needs to be changed (just rename the file extension).
  2. there is another thread about this that I believe has a fix, just search for it.
  3. The mod select button no longer works due Forge not having the ability to toggle mods using a .cfg file. The only way to remove mods is to either delete them from the mods folder or (in the case of larger mods) remove them from the modpack.jar. Some of the mods in the pack need to be applied directly to the modpack.jar, which means that, to turn them off, you need to remove the files manually. The files can be found in .techniclauncher\MODPACKNAME\bin\modpack.jar. You will need to look up the mod you want to disable and remove the files that that mod modifies.
  4. I am having the same problem... BUT See that word right there? Ya that is your issue. Also, might want to check the date of the thread friend.
  5. Maybe more if he is quick and FC is off his game though. I honestly wonder how long FC would last over here...
  6. Interesting. Have you tried tweaking the settings so the Kaspersky lets the launcher through?
  7. I am done. Anyone who uses cancer as an excuse is someone I don't want to talk to. Here is a definition of rich though: Having a great deal of money or assets; wealthy. (Basically "having a lot of money to spend")
  8. I don't mind the stuff in clubs as long as it stays there.
  9. More info please. There is almost always a log and we need the actual version of your launcher.
  10. That hurt my brain to read. Also, having lots of money to spend with no repercussions is basically the definition of spoiled. Maybe you could spend some money on grammar classes? Also, saying "not braggin" is (IMO) equivalent to "braggin"
  11. Does it need to? I thought the idea was to just launch the game. did I miss something important?
  12. Right, I am still not seeing the part where I talk about a guide on Apples website. Either way, this conversation is pointless and is simply derailing the thread. Continue it in a PM with me if you must but I won't be continuing it here. AFAIK, the issue is Java 7.
  13. I'm pretty certain I never said to use a guide on Apples site. You likely misinterpreted me when I said to use Java 6 from Apple as there have been issues with using Oracles version of Java. I will see if I can find the guide.
  14. There is a guide on how to downgrade to Java 6 around here somewhere. IIRC it worked for Lion. Try searching for it and trying that.
  15. interesting, you seem to be able to speak for the OP... Oh wait, you cant and you are just speculating wildly. If you were to perhaps post a bug report with logs and info, I might be able to help.
  16. You need to use the num pad to input the codes. You can just copy-paste them if you are on a laptop/mac though.
  17. But if you were doing a 1:1 ratio, you would only have 23 blocks of length, 6 blocks high and 14 blocks for the wing span. Even with microblocks it will be very difficult to include enough detail to make it distinguishable.
  18. Or you could right click the .jar and click Open with... Java But that is quite complicated ;)
  19. He was referring to the fact that the person he quoted said infinite... that was what he fixed. Generally when someone says FTFY, you need to also read the post that they fixed/quoted for context.
  20. Shocking can be a good thing. honestly though, your best bet is to either google a tutorial or just eyeball the picture and remake it. Though I doubt it will look good unless your airbase is huge, the scale of the blocks means it is difficult to recreate curvy things without making them huge.
  21. Why did you put this here? Just look on Google and recreate that.
  22. I hate being sick when you have stuff to do :(

  23. A quick Google led me to Elite (a space trading game) that appears to be the most widely recognized game credited with creating "open-world". It should also be mentioned that open-world is different from sandbox. (Minecraft is a sandbox while the Elder Scrolls games are open-world)
  24. The idea of a procedurally generated would has been around for a while. I am sure there are hundreds of games that have such worlds. It also depends on how you define "infinite". Minecraft is infinite in the sense that you could generate new worlds for ever and always have a different world. This is also true of many dungeon/rogue like games. While the map is finite, there is an infinite amount of floors with an infinite amount of different layouts (also, infinite is only a concept but the number is large enough to be essentially infinite)
  25. What about downloading the actual jar file (the linux one) and running that with Java?
