  1. Aw, man! Sometimes I wander over there on the old forums to read the LexManos vs. Princess of Dongs match. On an aside, really, do put in Tapatalk, or dramatically improve the mobile version of the forums. An another forum that I moderate runs Inversion and that has a decent mobile version.
  2. Not to mention that railguns need energy on the scale of a large city's power average usage per month on a single-launch basis.
  3. I noticed that, but I think there's a good point in doing so. However, that's not the topic of discussion here.
  4. You're forgetting that it's more like a missile tube than a potato gun. The one there is the small-scale mobile version, for essentially testing up to short LEO heights. The technology focuses on multi-stage launching than the classic all-in-one kick. Precisely how is not my forte, but I'm all for innovative, and equally cost-effective, solutions for payload launchers.
  5. Heads up to all modders and moddetts, we now have a functional Forge version for the current version of Minecraft right now! And even better yet, it implements an ID-less system as a coding precursor to 1.8's form! Expect individual mod updates in the near future, and don't worry about it not being 1.7.4 yet, that's coming as soon as LexManos & Team catch their collective breaths for a while, and we know compatibility won't be broken anyways. http://www.minecraftforge.net/forum/index.php?topic=16195.0 (Yeah, I know, it was released on the 8th, but really, I look there once every week, that's it.)
  6. Necro posting. You're doing it right.
  7. I think someone figured out a better way of firing crap into space without it breaking apart from the high G-forces on initial firing...
  8. In comparison, not as flexible as Tapatalk. Mind you, some aspects that the app implements is a little odd, but less so than the Firefox mobe version. I can't even look at my profile without dancing the hokey-pokey in a creeper suit.

  10. *points to Tapatalk* Don't forget about us mobile users! Like the changes, though.
  11. To be fair, megladons do have a fair chance to exist, if only as near-bethnic predators. So, no, I wouldn't call it a conspiracy theory. Now, Sasquatch being closely related to certain members of Congress...
  12. Primarily because there aren't any native choices in the standard download.
  13. It's okay, they do a generalized C++ class before they get us coding games at Full Sail. I can go and see if I still have those labs around, I doubt I still do but at least I know where my code is right now.
  14. With some thought, Redstone In Motion would work well as an elevator.
  15. I learned all my C++ making games. Pretty sure I can get my old Asteroids clone working again if I could set up a new MSVC environment on my pooter. Source code (the old one) can be made available, it includes a nice wrapper class for BMP file handling and basic joystick hooks.
  16. Let's just say that properly sourced wrapper classes and libraries work wonders. *points to Allegro.cc*
  17. Put the Forge jar into the folder "bin", and rename it "modpack". Then package all that up into a zip.
  18. Wait, he asked if there were any water-fowl based Java code that he can learn from. I think there's a duck in Mo'Creatures, but not sure if it's open source for him to look at.
  19. No prob, easy mistake that I occasionally do, too. :)
  20. Did you check the redstone tab to see what it's set to? I usually run it on Disabled, unless I have a need to control the rate of production.
  21. Just donated 10 bucks, Child's Play is one of my favorite charities worth giving to. Let's keep this up, people!
  22. The tailbone, and my particular favorite hobgoblin, the little toe as it's not needed for balance purposes.
  23. Naw, Vox has to consume the flesh of a web programmer and use the bones in a freaky ritual to his dark gods to make it happen. His full screen name is CannibalVox, afterall.
  24. I have good news about Win 8, at the least. Apparently MS actually listened to the consumers, and is working on "Threshold", an update that could very well be Win 9 in essence. The primary change is reintroducing the Aero theme from Win 7 as a choice over the Tablet theme.
