the guns from BL1 were pretty much the same way a lot of the time, looks wise. I actually like that the manufacturers have really notable and obvious distinctions now, it kinda makes you get a weird kind of "brand loyalty" sometimes, which is pretty cool to me. the E-tech guns are where it's at though. I used one of my golden keys on accident (why is there no confirmation!?!) and got an SMG that shoots crazy bouncing fireballs everywhere. to me, they basically took BL1 and just improved everything by a lot and gave it a new campaign. that's actually all I ever wanted in the first place, which is great. the multiplayer actually working is also a huge plus.

I still have a large collection of subbed anime and sometimes I go back and watch it when I am in the mood. back in the day though, I was on top of the fansubs for upwards of 8 shows per season at all times. in general I try to separate myself from the typical weeaboo type anime fan though. I'm not that guy, I don't have some weird fetish for japan and japanese culture, I just like anime because it's often cool or interesting to me. if there is such a correlation, my theory would be that the kind of person who would really get into technic and all the complex mods it contains is probably a huge nerd. a large portion of huge nerds have an interest in anime/asian culture to some degree.

generally, the technic team doesn't really take suggestions for packs to add to the launcher. the packs that are in there are there because they think that those packs are really high quality and worth playing. at some point in the future there may be a way to create a "custom" pack for yourself and play it through the launcher, but that is not exactly going to be soon. I'd guess your thread was removed because of that. it wasn't moved to a proper place because we are not paid to do this shit and we're not here to fix your mistakes. you are there to fix your own mistakes.

you are right, it's not 2 times, it's 20 times. way to go late night math. however, 1 megabit per second is still very, very little bandwidth and can hardly even be considered "broadband". most cable connections offer 24 or more Mb/s for instance. it's important to note that we're talking about megaBITS, and not megaBYTES. 8 megaBITS per second would be 1 megaBYTE per second. this time, I'm not half asleep and my math is right :)

well, other than the color scheme complaints, it sounds like you want borderlands or borderlands 2, when that is out.

1 Mbps (Megabits per second, just to be clear) is really, REALLY slow. that's just barely better than a 56k modem and by that I mean only twice as fast. I'm surprised you can do much of anything with a connection of that speed. as for multi-minute connection drops, could be a lot of things. with bandwidth like that, it would not be hard for a background process to saturate your connection and give you issues like this. anything from adobe updater to windows update could cause that kind of problem, let alone actual connection issues.

this is about the 500th time this has been suggested. as simpleguy mentioned, there have been threads like this in the past, created and maintained by members of the forum just to shut the people who keep asking for ETAs and/or status posts up. the official stance is that there won't be an official list of mods that are updated, maintained by the technic team because it's a waste of their time.

actually, last I checked it's not very doable. I remember because I tried and quickly failed to actually merge the mod into tekkit, since mystcraft is a base class mod. so, no it's not unless you want to port it to bukkit yourself and then merge the class files with tekkit's version of bukkit specifically. I will give you a hint, it's a lot harder than it sounds. it's totally compatible with technic, just not tekkit.

there may be a drop down just under the one you use to select the program that you can use to set a preferred graphics card. see if that's there. I know on a laptop I used recently, this was the case. no idea if it will be the case for you though. it may also be an issue of drivers being out of date as well, so you could try updating them and then see if the option shows up.

no one missed your problem. you don't like the always on top nature of the splash screen on the launcher. we get it. laughing at you for doing something stupid like trying to load up technic in the middle of a LoL game is not the same as misunderstanding your complaint. your complaint is rather petty at best and you make a really poor case for why it's a problem. we get it, you're too impatient to simply open technic AFTER your game is done. apparently 15-30 seconds is absolutely vital to you and you just can't afford to spend that kind of time waiting for your free modpack to load after you're done playing your free moba game. it's a travesty of justice and customer service, obviously. I guess we had better change it since you're writing our paychecks, am I right?

there's no bundled addons with technic, nor any other required downloads to get the launcher. you're doing it wrong.

as I understand it, the requirement that all mods have an included license is pretty much the root of the problem. it changes the attitude of people posting mods from, "hey here's a cool mod I made guys" to "hey this is MY mod by ME for ME and it's MINE MINE MINE!" I hope you can see the difference there and why it's not helpful in the end. combine that with some of the worst moderators I've ever seen and you get a recipe for a really, really terrible community that is entirely too wrapped up in building their little mod kingdom.

I know, I'm not going to be real strict with this thread because of it. I can't really in good conscience not mention the image thing though, being a mod and all that.

genius! why didn't someone think of that before! it's so simple no one dared even think about just removing the lag code from the game.
