Well, I've checked with 3 different Macs, 2 generations of nVidia graphics and one ATI, and OpenGL seems stuck at 2.1 on all of them. It looks like the limitation lies with LWJGL not supporting anything above OpenGL 2.1. I've confirmed that on the same Mac hardware running Windows 7 that OpenGL is 3.2 in Minecraft, so I suppose I'll be using BootCamp when I need to do image captures with this mod. Works like a charm BTW, great job Kobata. Now if I could only figure out how to get minecraft to use OpenGL 3.2 in Mac OS...

Did you update your client? You have to click the gear on the modpack, manually select a build, then choose 1.1.0.

Up and running, now what do I do with all this cobblestone?

Yea I'd double Iron, Tin and any other ore I have in large quantities then use the Rich Slag to triple my less common ores, Gold especially. -
Hmm, locking down ME Storage in Applied Energistics would be nice. I play on a rather small server and trust my users, but I can see why using an AE only storage system might be bad on a huge server. To easy to completely clean you out!

PREACH IT BROTHER. Nice breakdown, math FTW.
-
What I meant was, if you can get it to open, leave it open, don't quit it when you are done playing.
-
Storing power? Redstone energy cell.

I suggest making a slime embiggener, it takes a while to get enough pink slime to fill a bucket. One bucket for one small slime, grow to a medium and quadruple your chances for pink slimeballs.

Yeah, making excuses about not having time to investigate and research something isn't very convincing in the "I'm not some dumb little kid" argument. Measure twice and cut once, my dad always said. As nemmeh said, there are new threads almost daily in the same vein as this one. That doesn't excuse a personal attack from anyone, Karaktar. We're all tired of hearing the complaint, no need to call someone stupid over it. Allegedly, there are ways to get newer versions of IC2 running, but I wouldn't put it on a server with 10 people. Part of the design philosophy of this new Tekkit is to quickly upgrade to the latest version and not lag behind in core features. It kind of sucks not to have the latest minecraft core, in which bugs have been fixed and features added (like click dragging on the crafting grid to place items, holy crap I use this a lot). So the Technic Team has decided to cut the cruft of old mods that have seen no updates in a half a year or more.

Use the Minium Stone to turn it into something useful. Pro Tip, automate this process with a Cyclic Assembler. Or as Typhox suggests, use the Pulverizer to turn Cobble into Sand, then melt into Glass or use the sand with the Induction Furnace to double your ores into ingots. -
Interesting, how much RAM does your system have, how much was allocated when the issue was happening, and what did you lower it to?

Shaders Mod - Point me in the right direction?

Tekkit 1.1.0 is included in the launcher right now, but it is not a recommended build yet. This version updates minecraft core to 1.5.2, and includes updates to a bunch of the other core mods to 1.5.2 versions. I've been running it for a day or so now on my server, but I don't know how long it will be until the Technic Dev team pushes it as a recommended update. -
So, I quite shamelessly yoinked template code from minecraftwiki.net for the Entity info box. I hope no one minds. Check out an example at the newly created http://wiki.technicpack.net/Pink_Slime_(Mob) page. I'm ramping up the wiki content for the new version of MFR that is included in Tekkit 1.1.0, LOTS of fun new blocks! Laser Drill FTW.

I've noticed that as well, one some computers I play on it crashes 4 out of 5 times. Keep launching, it might eventually stay open. I suggest keeping it open, rather than quitting, for now.
-
I was able to get it running with 3, didn't do any other testing. 1 Didn't seem to be doing anything, the power didn't increment on the Drill at all. Thanks for the heads up, this looks to be a fun way to spend all the MJ I'm storing.

The Block Smasher is kind of like the pulverizer, but for gem ores. Throw in Diamond Ore and Mob Essence, and out come multiple diamonds. Same for Certus Quartz Ore, Emerald Ore, and all the Nether equivalent ores. Kind of like having Fortune Enchantment on a pickaxe, per the MFR minecraftforum thread.
-
All four huh? The MFR thread said 1-4, guess I'll collect more Pink Slimeballs.

It might be a little early to ask this question here, as Tekkit 1.1.0 isn't recommended yet and not a lot of people might be running it, but has anyone had any luck getting the new MFR Laser Drill and Laser Drill Precharger to work? I've dug a hole from the surface to bedrock, and placed a Laser Drill over the hole. I put a Laser Drill Precharger two blocks away, and rotated it so the green side was facing the drill. I ran Redstone Energy Conduit to the Precharger, and it has power. It's generating a whitish beam that runs to the Drill, but the drill doesn't seem to be powered. I can't connect the conduit directly to the Drill it seems, the Precharger must power it. Any ideas?

Because f*ck those random ages, amiright? :D

Not specifically Herobrine, I suppose I could have been more clear. He's (she's?) doing 2 annoying things, pretending to be a fictional character and in the process of portraying that character, using poor spelling and grammar. My suggestion was more to lessen the overall amount of annoyingness, I'm not suggesting Herobrine is a stickler for grammar.
-
I just use a BC Filler to fill the empty hole with cobble and dirt. Helps to keep down the hundreds of thousands of cobble I offload to a DSU.
-
Ugh, seriously? If you're going to pose as a minecraft meme, at least be grammatically correct.
-
The server version 1.1.0 seems to have an incorrect version of minecraft_server.jar packaged with it, getting a severe FML error on launch. Is part of running mcpc+ replacing this file? I was able to start a server after downloading the correct server jar from minecraft.net

I've been having issues with the game crashing in much the same way, it seems like 4 out of 5 times it will quit at the same place. I can get it to open about 20% of the time, keep trying :/
