  3. If your Tekkit client is only 1.5.1, then you aren't running the latest build. Throw out your tekkitmain directory, then launch TechnicLauncher, then press the gear on Tekkit on the left and change to manually select a build, then choose 1.1.5. You might also want to make sure your server is using 1.1.5 as well and not one of the intermediary builds. 1.1.0-1.1.5 are all minecraft 1.5.2. http://mirror.technicpack.net/Technic/servers/tekkitmain/Tekkit_Server_v1.1.5.zip
  4. This is caused by the Inventory Tweaks mod, the 'R' key is the default sort key. You can turn off that mod or change the hotkey and it shouldn't mess with the Preformatter. Open inventory, press the ellipses button (…) (hint, it mouses over and reads "Inventory Settings") and change the sort key to something else, or turn shortcuts off. Side note, before I figured that out I was spelling anything that needed an "R" in the Preformatter with "|2". 1337speek FTW, mutha fucka. I just noticed that NEI uses the 'R' key as well to display recipes, not sure if you'd need to change that as well. To be honest, the hotkeys overlapping has always bugged me ever since Tekkit Classic, although I'm not sure there are enough keys on the keyboard to actually map every single function that every single mod adds and maps to a hotkey.

  7. Oh buildcraft pipes, bane of newbies and server admins everywhere. This might be a little much to handle, but learn Applied Energistics and use ME Export Busses instead.

  9. RedPower 2 is not compatible with the version of Minecraft that Tekkit is using. Tekkit 1.0.6 uses minecraft 1.5.1. RedPower2 requires minecraft 1.4.6, according to Eloraam's blog: http://www.eloraam.com

  11. I'm not sure, but I think the Interface might input/output on all sides, unless you use the wrench on it to face it in a specific direction. Try breaking the interface and placing it again, but DON'T wrench it. Might just need to build different interfaces and furnaces for different ores. I've got 4 or 5 different ones setup for specific items.
  12. There is, its just the default recipe it shows you in NEI is for the shapeless crafting recipe for Bronze Plate > 4 Bronze Ingots. Use the arrows at the top of the NEI to change to Smelting, then Powered Furnace, then Induction Smelter. Induction Smelter recipe should probably be the default. [edit: Ninja'd]

  15. Hmm. Might just need to break all of the involved machines and set them up again, that tends to happen between updates. Thanks for checking for me, glad to know it isn't completely broken.
  16. Pretty much the only usable thing in EE3 is the minium stone. The wiki on this is pretty bare at the moment, but that is because the mod itself is bare. http://wiki.technicpack.net/Equivalent_Exchange_3 As far as I know, the roadmap for EE3 does not include condensers. Way too overpowered.
  17. Upgrading to 1.1.5 is a one way trip for the server. New mods are added, new blocks, new items, new ores generated, etc etc. I wouldn't upgrade unless you are ready to stay at 1.1.5, whether it becomes the final RC or not. Downgrading can introduce issues with your map, as blocks that existed in 1.1.5 no longer exist in the 1.0.6 world. Not a good idea. If your friends want to check out 1.1.5, have them backup their entire tekkitmain folder, update, then start a single player map. If they want to play on your server with 1.0.6, they'll need to replace the updated 1.1.5 folder with the backed up 1.0.6 folder.

  20. In 1.0.6, I setup an MFR Grinder next to a breeding setup to harvest mob essence. I had a Liquid Tesseract connected to the output (back) of the Grinder, dumping the Essence into a giant BC Tank. After updating to 1.1.5, Mob Essence wasn't being sent through the Tesseract anymore and was backing up in the internal inventory of the Grinder. I had to connect a Liquiduct between the Grinder and Tesseract, and between the Tesseract on the other side and the top of the BC Tank, for the Grinder to work again. Not sure what happened there, other setups like Rancher with a directly connected Item or Liquid Tesseract are still working, but the Grinder did not.
  21. Oh, he's one of those people. Look, if you don't understand log files, don't read them. It's only going to confuse you. I suspect you might be right dwwojcik (even though trying to pronounce your handle is making my brain hurt), he's probably noticing all the messages from all the mods starting up that are looking for other mods to hook into. For instance, Logistics Pipes has all kinds of nifty bee sorting tubes (or so I'm told), but without the mod that contains those bees they won't work and won't load. It's probably safe to say, just ignore the logs unless you are troubleshooting an issue. Does the server start? Can others join it, using the client provided at technicpack.net and by selecting the Tekkit modpack? If so, you're golden. If you have problems, well, go submit a bug report and include your logs.

  24. Plow, I think that the transparent module and custom color module are now handled by the MPS appearance interface, default key 'l'. You can tweak which pieces of armor are visible and adjust their color and other appearance. I'll get around to updating the wiki on that... Eventually.
