Oh, you're new? Why didn't you say so earlier? Hey guys! He's new! Everything is OK, let us collectively unbunch our panties.
-
Well, HexxitGear does have a wiki, but to be fair the info there is rather sparse. http://wiki.technicpack.net/Hexxit_Gear
-
Did you even search the wiki? http://wiki.technicpack.net/Necrotic_Bone

Look, dude. Just... http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/379925-152-matmos-r24-environmental-sound-atmosphere-simulator/ http://ha3.eu/public/mc-mods/matmos.php Take the MAtmos download for 1.5.1, follow the directions and install it into your own tekkitmain client. I literally can't be any more helpful than that without offering to fly out to god knows where you are and do it myself. You asked a question of a community that really doesn't have an answer, at least not an official one. You were given a solution, and rather than investigate that solution and ask more questions if you got stuck, you say something incomprehensible like installing a modpack inside yourself. I take it you meant your mod client, because I sure don't know how one installs a mod like MAtmos into the human body. The snark buildup that exists on these forums is because we are constantly barraged with questions, complaints, insults, and stupid shit about "why was IC2 removed?" and "RedPower2 4eva!" and "Why isn't Forestry in Tekkit?". This kind of discussion isn't productive, and a quick search of the forums before posting something will usually yield relevant information. My god, what have I done? ...rant over.
-
Sorry, I've got an operation later to have some of my excess snark removed. Seriously though, I don't know why it was removed. I kinda liked it, but I think the general consensus was that most people did not. What I said was true, it is a client-side mod and rather easily re-installed, and won't even interfere with a server running that doesn't have it.
-
Because. Also, it's a client side mod so add it back in yourself.

Try enabling Advanced Open GL in Options > Video Settings.

How many bookshelves is that? 22?
-
*patiently waiting for this thread to migrate to the Whale Box*
-
AFAIK, the Enchantment Table needs 15 Bookshelves around it to provide all the enchantments available. More may actually be detrimental, but you should probably experiment with it in single player creative mode to be sure.
-
Are there enough bookshelves around the table?

To be fair, I had never heard of the item until he mentioned it, and I've been writing the TConstruct Wiki pages. The only way I figured that out was to use creative mode/NEI to cheat the item into my inventory, then placed it on a Tool Station. I can't fault someone for that kind of ignorance; intentions seemed well placed.
-
I'm pretty sure it's a joke item, not meant to be crafted or actually used. Looking at the durability and damage in the Tool Station: Durability: 21474836/21474836 Attack: 10737418 hearts For comparision, an Iron Broadsword has the following: Durability: 380/380 Attack: 3 hearts

I solo'd a Walker Cathedral (including the boss) last night with my TC Manyullyn Longsword. I give 2 slots to Sharpness to increase damage, and 2 slots to Life Steal. DPS + Lifesteal = never die. You may not kill things right away, or quickly, but I can't understate how insane constant Life Drain buffing is.

New Tekkit: BuildCraft Version and Engine Discussion
Dash16 replied to Bts's topic in Tekkit Discussion
Correct. My entire power grid doesn't have a single Buildcraft pipe in it. Magmatics leading to redstone energy cells via redstone energy conduit, then branching off to all the connected machinery. The only kicker is the conduit is a bit more pricey, and you have to set the input or output direction after you place them. I still find myself forgetting to do that sometimes. If you have a Sphax texture pack that includes TE, the orange/blue direction is MUCH clearer, with an arrow indicating the direction of power flow. To combat the cost of conduits, I suggest either quarrying a place with lava in it and dumping water to turn it all into obsidian, or use the minium stone to convert excess wood into obsidian. Keep in mind you can also pulverize cobblestone into sand to be melted into glass. Edit: I typically prefer long, thought out and documented correspondence, but in this case I admit I was beating you to the punch because it was fun. :D -
New Tekkit: BuildCraft Version and Engine Discussion
Dash16 replied to Bts's topic in Tekkit Discussion
Open the GUI on a Magmatic, see the bar on the left? If that fills up, the internal power storage of the Engine is maxed and the engine will shut off, requiring a whack with a wrench. You won't see that bar ever fill all the way if you are outputting into conduit, only if you directly connect the engine to a machine. :ninja: -
New Tekkit: BuildCraft Version and Engine Discussion

:ninja: Stupid double post, sorry. :/ -
Do you often ask for help by demeaning the system you are trying to use? Pro Tip: Avoid calling something stupid when more than likely, the reason it isn't working is because of something on your end. PS: Disable your stupid anti-virus/firewall like Teraku said. :P

New Tekkit: BuildCraft Version and Engine Discussion
Dash16 replied to Bts's topic in Tekkit Discussion
Energy conduits that connect to machinery can either be inputs or outputs; not both. If you have one conduit connecting an engine to a powered furnace, for example, that conduit can either input to both or output to both. Obviously, it doesn't help to have power going INTO an engine, so you need a conduit to output from the engine and another conduit to input into the furnace. Hope this makes sense. -
[noob] all new maps are "empty" (no structures) worlds
Dash16 replied to badfeet's topic in Hexxit Discussion
You sure you are launching Hexxit from the TechnicLauncher? You on a Mac or Windows? Have you modified your client in any way with client-side mods? -
Connect a liquiduct to the bottom of the sewer and pipe it to a Composter. Sounds to me like your liquids aren't going anywhere. Also, make sure that Sewers are not overlapping each others. Upgrades will cause them to look at more blocks above them to gather from animals, but if two sewers have upgrades that cause them to look at the same blocks, my understanding is they stop working. Count blocks including your upgrades, and make sure that no two sewers are covering the exact same area.

Nether Portals Don't Lead to the Nether? Turn off Mods?
Dash16 replied to LucidLethargy's topic in Tekkit Discussion
Maybe OP is talking about Dimensional Doors? Kind of roundabout, but traveling through them can take you to Limbo, then tens of thousands of blocks away. Traveling to the Nether in Tekkit hasnt' changed. If Nether Portals really are teleporting you millions of blocks from global spawn, then I suspect something you've done to the Tekkit pack is the problem. Which mods have you added, removed, or disabled? You mention using MCPC+ and bukkit mods, so there's really no telling what you've done to your Tekkit install to make it behave this way. Good luck figuring it out, I suggest first using Tekkit unaltered, as delivered from the Technic Team, before further modifying it. -
Yeah, a better fix would be to remove that meteor armor all together. Disenchanting and then melting down unneeded armors for XP and resources is epic.
-
Hmm, maybe a better idea would be for there to be a Hexxit section in the Bug Reports forums: http://forums.technicpack.net/forums/bug-reports.81/ Hey, board admins! Now how does one summon them again...? Oh yeah: This thread is literally Hitler. /me runs
