MrFly Posted October 23, 2012 Author Posted October 23, 2012 Nope WinRar. Just skip the stupid notification thing. All you do is click the X! :L Quote
Jay? Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 The only thing Winzip doesn't handle spectacularly is Multipart .rars Tends to forget about a handful of bytes every time it moves on to the next rar. 7zip is the best for making executable archives though, and if you're trying to give something to a friend who doesn't know how to computer, executable archives are a lifesaver. The_DarthMoogle Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Mine was Jak And Dexter. I bought the hd full collection as soon as it came out! Eh, I never played them, thinking they were of the same vein as Ratchet & Clank. Which were some badass games. Quote
SPGold Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 I grew up with the Star Wars: Rogue Squadron series of games. But the only childhood game I still play is the Halo series. Quote

I remember my dad got me that first game. It actually came with a computer he bought. They were really badass! I just remembered it now. I loved how you in some missions were in an x-wing and others your fighting with lightsabers or disguised as a storm trooper. Quote
Adlersch Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Eh, I never played them, thinking they were of the same vein as Ratchet & Clank. Which were some badass games. They were (And still are, to an extent), although I only ever played the first Jak and Daxter. The others were too different. I remember being little when I first got it, so I was afraid to go to Misty Island or the Jungle. Quote

The first Jak and Daxter game I played, and Jak 2 was just too gunny runny for me. Quote
ErusPrime Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 I'm pretty sure I've dropped this link before. Huge into DOS games when I was a wee lad. Sierra and Epic Megagames owned my world. http://theboombot.com/dos/ Quote

poryy Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Pokemon red. The only good pokemon game. Oh, and Warhammer 40k, Dawn of War. Quote
ErusPrime Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Forgive me, but what is DOS? what the fuck is wrong with you? Quote
Xylord Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Forgive me, but what is DOS? ... what the fuck is wrong with you? That one, too young he is. In short form, it's a very old exploitation system made by Microsoft. "Disk Operating System". Quote
Jay? Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Pokemon red. The only good pokemon game. You should look into the Pokemon hacks by Drayano. He did FireRed: Omega and BlazeBlack, both of which include all pokemon that had been created at the time, and include significantly tougher opponents. Seriously. In FR:O, Misty kicked my ass repeatedly. MISTY. Also, it's nice to have the newer graphics, and some of the newer systems are neat. Quote

Xylord Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Well, look at me sitting here looking like a complete idiot. To visualize it efficiently, one could say ComputerCraft computers are pretty close to what DOS computers were like, except the language is different. Quote
The_DarthMoogle Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 You see, the problem with some childhood games is that you hardly remember them. But apparently I played this game so much on the PC when I was about 5 years old. :3 Ladies and gents, I present "Future Cop : LAPD"! Awesome mech based 3PS. Really solid mechanics, good looking game, but the game failed to sell. Quote
M-C Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 My childhood game... Definitely super mario 64... I remember the day my mother brought in that Nintendo 64.. All the fun I had with that thing... Quote
Hushful Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Another one of my absolute favorites of all time was MechWarrior2: Mercenaries. I was 10 when it released. Quote
LazDude2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 My childhood game: Secret Agent Sam by Apogee. Coolest DOS game ever. I'm a bit too young for DOS games, but I found it and it was awesome. Quote
ampayne2 Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. Spent a few years playing this, lost my memory card in 4th grade, died a little, found it in 5th grade, freaked out in excitedness, and finished the game Such a great game =) Quote

ampayne2 Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Yeah, still fun, but nowhere close to TTYD. Wonder how good sticker star is for 3ds? Quote
