Mooseman9 Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Depends on the system for me: N64: Banjo Kazooey! Gameboy Color: Pokemon Blue! Banjo Tooie was better. I had Pokemon Red, had fun with squirtle though. Quote
theprolo Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I think Pokemon concepts really started to go downhill around Diamond. They weren't too bad, but it was only the beginning. Quote
Taco628 Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Also after reading other posts: PS2: Either the Sims 2, or Burnout Revenge. Gamecube: Animal Crossing Dreamcast: Crazy Taxi! PS1: Spyro! Dunno which game though PC: Definitely, hands down, 100% has to be... ROLLER COASTER TYCOON! Quote
WaterWorksGuy Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 A couple over the years. Nintendo. Paper Boy - Super Mario Bros Sega Gen. Jungle Strike - NFL Football 94 PS1. Nascar 98 - Final Fantasy 7 "Best RPG Ever" - Driver PS2. Smugglers Run 2 - 4x4 Evo - Metal Gear Solid 3 Sega Dreamcast. Crazy Taxi - NFL 2k1 PC. Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 - Command and Conquer Tiberian Sun - Alpha Centauri There is way more then that but these brought my grades down and left me sleepless the most. I still turned out all right though, so it was definitely worth it. Though I wonder now, if I ever have Children if they will have the same experience I did. I mean blowing on Sega Gen. Cartridges till you were blue in the face, just to play 8 solid hours, then the screen to glitch, and have to reset and do it all over again was a right of passage. Oh and no memory cards. Your progress only got saved if your cartridge had internal memory. And those were few and far between. Best time of my life. Wouldn't trade it for nothing...... Quote
Lothos Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Final Fantasy 1 and 2 really set the stage for me after Zelda 1 and Blaster Master. Adventures in the Colossal Cave of course I played and played back on the IBM. Its a shame when i think I've spent more hours playing alot of the titles you guys mention then you've been alive Quote

Sounds like a commodore 64. The whole computer was the keyboard. Quote
okamikk Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Sounds like a commodore 64. The whole computer was the keyboard. possibly, back then i was amazed at the magic box with the images being controlled by the clicky box on the desk, and had the technical know-how of a box of crayons. Quote
Jharii Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 The original Gold Box D&D game: Pool of Radiance. Ah, my dear sweet Commodore 64, how I miss you. Quote
Jharii Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Sounds like a commodore 64. The whole computer was the keyboard. Cartridge... was probably the Commodore Vic-20, then. They had the software cartridges. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commodore_VIC-20 EDIT: Just checked. The C-64 had them, too. They just weren't as common since the C-64 had both the tape and 1541 floppy peripherals. Quote

Star and Moon Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Ugh, there is a lot on my list of childhood games, but right now I'm thinking of the old Blupi games, which most of, if not all had level editors where I could create many fun and creative levels. Quote
