Teraku Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 anyone remember lego rock raider...yea the game that was really fun when i was like 5...and still is for nostagia sake and all... Ah, yes. That was quite a bit of fun. Too bad I was like 4 years old at the time and I was too scared of the ice monsters to go any further. Quote

Kingfisher1112 Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Yeah, ikr. But I still can't beat the USA or the China campaign Wow, really? What were the difficult parts? I never could get past mission 2 of China, but the USA I never found difficult. Quote
theprolo Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 I think when I played Zero Hour, I got stuck at that level in the USA campaign where you're on a different side of the river in the oil fields. I never managed it, because the GLA seemed to have such a huge amount of money and an infinite spawn of suicide vehicles which you had to destroy before activating to get past. I don't seem to be able to play without air power of any sort, because it's my main tactic. Quote
holymage! Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 oh another one came to mind while i was at work....Mystical ninja's staring goemon Quote
Lethosos Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 oh another one came to mind while i was at work....Mystical ninja's staring goemon Haha, I loved the SNES cart. Favorite level was the Iga Ninja stage--giant brass balls! I need to try out the N64 one sometime. Quote

theprolo Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Metroid was a great game. I played Prime Hunters on the DS with friends for insane amounts of time... Quote
Kingfisher1112 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Oh yeah, nearly forgot. Conker's Bad Fur Day/The Xbox remake. My god that was brilliant. Opera singing poo, matrix/saving private Ryan parody, pissing on fire demons, a shrill voiced grim reaper named Greg, breaking the fourth wall to the nth degree.... If you have an N64 or an Xbox, BUY THIS NOW. Quote

Jackmahogoff89 Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, cause of death for at least 3 of my older computers. Best chose your own adventure game, I haven't beaten it yet. Quote
Nitus Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Dino Crisis was a kickass game for PS1, its Capcom's Resident Evil style but with dino's. Also MediEvil was a great game too, one of my favourites as a kid, probably cuz I never finished it. Quote
Lothos Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 I can't believe nobody mentioned Xwing or Tie Fighter, or the Vs they mashed up. God, those were epic games in the day. Descent is another great series I wish made a comeback. Quote

Jharii Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 I've been playing since Alpha...its close, but not there yet. It's definitely an excellent spiritual successor that does allow me to reminisce of Descent quite fondly, though. Pretty great game considering it's an obscure indie developer. Descent was certainly ahead of its time, imho. Quote

Malawi Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Majesty - the kingdom sim. The setting is classical RPG, but you have a top-down view and cannot control any hero directly. Instead you give them incentives and buildings where they can upgrade etc. There is also a follow up - Majesty 2, but I prefer the first one. Quote
jazzpi Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Age of Empires II: Forgotten Empires Great community-made expansion pack (free as well ) to AoC, but since AoE II isn't popular anymore, noone plays it. Even the people still playing AoE II play AoC rather because AoFE isn't rated anywhere. Quote
elmarko98 Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Favourite game for me...hmmm Chessmaster 5500, awww yeah. On a serious note I'd probably say Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim. I've put so many hours in those games. I also love mount and blade, or at least the idea of it. The only problem with it is there's not enough to do and all the characters are a little empty. But I love the idea and the battles are soo fun. I hope they don't mess up the sequel. And Civilisation, some brilliant games there. Especially the satisfaction you get from nuking people...heh...big boom go boom. Quote
cowpat Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Little King's Story should have had wayyyyy more publicity. Awesome game. Also, monster hunter tri. It is big in japan, but not in europe. Quote
