The Merchant of Menace Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Creeper Pie. The secret is in the filling, but I'll never tell.
Maximus930 Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Creeper Pie. The secret is in the filling, but I'll never tell. Gunpowder, tnt, little babby creepers, or the new creeper heads they added in? Whatever it is, it is either dangerous or disgusting.

Deimos56 Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Creeper Pie. The secret is in the filling, but I'll never tell. You could say it's... an explosion of flavor. Personally, I'd like to see the ability to make stew or something out of some of those newfangled vegetables and some meat more than I'd like to see more pie (apple pie could be nice though...).
The Merchant of Menace Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Pork Pie, Beef casserole, chicken casserole, beef hotpot, chicken dumplings. Even with the limited resources, there's tons of foods you could make.
warpspeed10 Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 You could say it's... an explosion of flavor. Personally, I'd like to see the ability to make stew or something out of some of those newfangled vegetables and some meat more than I'd like to see more pie (apple pie could be nice though...). The thing is, that if you have too many food items, it is hard to make each one usefull in its own regard. For example, bread while less filling than steak is much easier to farm in mass quantities. Cookies used to be the only stackable food so they were good on long journeys. You can breed chickens much quicker than cows due to them dropping eggs, yet chicken is less filling than steak or pork. With the addition of potatoes and carets, the only downside is they're difficult to obtain. It's becoming harder to make each food item special in its own way. They have two choices, make a bunch of different food items, and not worry about some overlap in usefulness, or they can give different food added bonuses. For example, coffee gives you speed, beer makes you strong, and frog legs give you jump boost (doesn't have to make sense ) and so on.
The Merchant of Menace Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Why does everything have to have a unique use? Why should I build my house out of Jungle Wood rather than Oak? Why should I use sandstone stairs when I could use wood. Difference for the sake of difference is half the game.
NightKev Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Weren't cookies only stackable to 8, thus making them equivalent to a steak in hunger refilling (but not nearly as much for saturation)? So, they were an inferior alternative anyway.
Maximus930 Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 I don't know the history on this since I bought the game in 1.0, but wasn't all food stackable as soon as hunger was implemented?
NightKev Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Ah right, I was thinking of the wrong thing, nevermind.
charcharmunro Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 I believe 8 cookies did heal the same as one porkchop, though it may have been about half a heart off.
