Catalysm Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Yea, it's all animated and stuff. I'm still getting the "Begin your journey" thing. Quote
Excellion1498 Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 The music on the Hexxit page is getting me really pumped for this, and at times like this I hate my slow internet >_< Also, there's apparently a mod unique to this pack called 'Hexxit gear' by SCT. Sounds pretty interesting. Quote
Onikrex Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I'm not going to lie, I think I just pissed myself with excitement. Quote
M-C Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Sct's personal mod: hexxit gear's in it! EDIT: I've launched it, playing right now! Quote
Excellion1498 Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Aaaaand it's launching, download complete :D Quote

M-C Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 You've done a mighty fine job sct! (Mod made by sct, hexxit gear) Quote
homergunther Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 cool decorative stuff, chocobos, better dungeons/towers, extra dimensions, alot of weapon and gear mods, infernal mobs (im happy about this one ), Twighlight Forest (always a favorite of mine), alot of other world gen mods... and more. this is looking like one of the best and most robust "adventure/ RPG-ish" packs ever :D Quote
MapleBacon Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Here's the description of Hexxit Gear from the Readme: Three ancient armors of legend, lost to the world. Can you restore the pieces one by one and reclaim one of these powerful sets of armor for yourself? Hexxit Gear is a simple mod that adds interesting and unique pieces of armor to the game. Each armor is crafted by collecting an especially rare resource known as "Hexical Essence." If you collect enough you will be able to enchant diamonds and sow them into the thread of your armor, restoring the legendary pieces to their former glory. Each set grants unique bonuses and has a completely unique style like no set of armor you have ever seen before in Minecraft! Quote
OtakuHalo Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 :( my java is acting retarded and I can't start up the technic pack. And I was soooo looking forward to Hexxit! T_T Quote
TheBytemaster Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Ooh, shiny! I'm rather pleased with the download speed, thought the server would have been utterly flooded by now. Nevermind. I retract that statement. EDIT: I haven't even started playing and already java is eating ungodly amounts of ram. As much as it can physically get without killing other processes, it appears. Quote
ziberoo Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 The best thing about this is the amount of mods I've never heard I will now play. 'Technic doesn't give the modders recognition" my ass. Quote
Onikrex Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I havent had a single issue with mine. o.o Although, I do find it funny that I had been playing for only a few minutes and already have 22 diamond, tons of iron, diamond sword, pickaxe, and big sword, plus lots of gold :x Quote
ziberoo Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Oh my god elephants!!!! Look at that volcano! holyshitthisiscool Quote
Valkon Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 So the first thing I did was find a Dimensional Doors dungeon right next to my spawn, thought it was a good idea to go in, and then I ended up in Limbo. You know, Limbo is a lot less empty than I remember it. Quote
_Mataroyale_Modpacker_ Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I'm so mad my laptop can't handle minecraft and my computer's hard drive is being fixed right now! God, at least one more day of waiting for me... Quote
Valkon Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 There's also the part where those monoliths aren't just in Limbo. Quote
TheBytemaster Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Props to whoever designed the floating castles. Never saw that thing at the top coming. Quote
M-C Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 So... Which mod adds those different elemental essences? It seems those have got lots of uses. Quote
miniboxer Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 On vacation in Montana. Bricked my laptop while updating. Why. Quote
ziberoo Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I was just in one of those places full of 'walkers'. I had invisibility, and all was going well into an archer spotted me and knocked me off the wall, straight into the hall place. They all saw me. Quote
Lethosos Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 The DimDoors mod got updated with those freaky monoliths. They actually have the power to send you to Limbo if you attempt to bypass the traps within, as they use the Enderman sight code to detect you looking at them, and if you gaze into the abyss for too long... Props to whoever designed the floating castles. Never saw that thing at the top coming. Ruins Mod. They make great bases once you deal with the spawners. Quote
