Unheard of launcher problem

So, I just downloaded the Technic launcher, and everything works great, its all there, but the only thing is it opens minecraft version 1.6.4, rather than 1.7.10. Has anyone heard of this? I've browsed everywhere trying to find a solution, or at least someone with a similar issue. Does anyone know what to do?

Problems with the Launcher belong in the Tracker for the Launcher.

we haven't established if this is a bug yet, plow. Especially since there are hardly any 1.7.x packs out there yet, atleast not from Technic

 

carlson has yet to respond what modpack he is playing

@Munaus: Too true. Might have been a bit trigger happy there.

 

@carlsoncalvin: Can you be more specific? I am able to launch vanilla MC 1.7.10 as well as a Forge 1.7.10 modpack through the technic launcher without difficulty.

Sorry, Ive been away from the computer. Im just trying to run Tekkit (the newer one). I mean, whenever I hit play, Technic opens minecraft 1.6.4, but if I use the standard minecraft launcher, it loads 1.7.10 just fine.

Working as expected. Mods are locked to Major MC versions normally.

What do you mean by that? is 1.7.10 not a major version?

Tekkit hasn't been updated past 1.6.4 yet.
