Unless the diamond function of EnderChests has been altered since Tekkit Lite 0.6.1 that is not the case, I've placed a diamond locked chest and everyone has been able to access my private network through that chest so long as it existed in the world You could shift click the diamond off the lock when you are done, but then you would always need a diamond stored outside of that chest

You can't without Solder as you reset the download everytime without it If you want to use Solder then I suggest you stop what you are doing and get it set before you continue as porting from file to solder is no easy task

The packs are archived, not abandoned, the only pack that has been abandoned is Technic (SSP) because it was merged into Lite which was created when the team stopped waiting for BukkitForge to update Any official pack in the launcher is still being supported even if it's not being updated Right now the active packs are Tekkit, Big Dig and Voltz AFAIK
