Definitely looks like something going off the rails with Weather mod. Probably best to take it to them.

Your server's Flan folder is missing its contents. You have an item ID conflict between BigReactors and SimplyJetpacks (at least on the client, maybe server as well). You should probably set the server.properties port option back to the default (25565) in the ZIP you distribute. NotEnoughItems and Waila both have server-side features and should both be in the server's mods folder. HungerOverhaul and Biomes O' Plenty are missing from the server ZIP. You must have changed something in the client or not copied the configs over properly. I re-copied the configs to the server and was able to connect.

For Forge >= 1.7.2 the liteloader Jar file (the mod, not the installer) belongs in the /mods/<version> (i.e. /mods/1.7.10/) folder. All litemods belong in the /mods/ folder.

I edited that last bullet point to read "Your Twilight Forest mod is for 1.7.2. You need the latest 1.7.10 version".

Always provide the API URL or a link to the pack details page when requesting custom modpack assistance. Your /bin/modpack.jar is actually named "modpack.jar.jar". Google "windows explorer always show file extensions" to learn how to prevent this problem. A number of your mods have "(1)" in the title. This sometimes causes problems and happens when you download a file to a folder which already contains a file by that name. Remove that string from any mod files which contain it. You have a very old version of NEI. You should be using the "latest" 1.7.10 version. Your ProjectRed mod is fatally out of date. Your Damage Indicators, Food Plus, Iron Chests, Thaumcraft, and Twilight Forest mods are not from a legitimate source. Re-download that mod from the author's forum post or website. Your Twilight Forest mod is for 1.7.2. You need the latest 1.7.10 version.

Always provide the API URL or a link to the pack details page when requesting custom modpack assistance. The link you provided is not a public share URL from copy.com. Those look like this: https://copy.com/yehejOYKm4AKr8aV

I need help with a problem. Modded Server connection
plowmanplow replied to Lancars's topic in Cafe Lame
That's not really how it works. You are asking for help so you should be providing the information. I'm not doing Google searches with the hope of guessing the right information. Provide what is requested. If someone is being refused connection then there will be log data on both the client and server. That is the information we need, in detail and in full. Generalities and anecdotes are counterproductive. You said you had a server link. Provide that. You obviously have a pack URL of some sort (not a download link, the Technic pack URL). Provide that. You must be getting log data. Provide that (not here, in a pastebin service). -
This is the URL I was requesting: http://api.technicpack.net/modpack/testmait Your modpack archive should be a ZIP file, not a JAR file. The file in your /bin/ folder is named "modpack.jar.zip". It should be named "modpack.jar". You have the file OptiFine_1.5.2.zip in your /mods/ folder. This won't work. Optifine for 1.5.2 must be inserted into the modpack.jar file. For your convenience, here is a download link for a pre-patched modpack.jar for 1.5.2 with Optifine. Make sure you rename it to "modpack.jar" when placing it into your /bin/ folder: https://copy.com/uvpSFZLgGUxWJhDO?download=1

Launcher Resolution Too Big for Screen (CrunchBang Linux)

Maybe I wasn't very clear in my instructions. My bad. I'll try again: Always provide the API URL or a link to your pack details page when requesting custom modpack assistance. You are asking for assistance and it behooves you to provide what is requested. The link in your original post does not work. I have little time to go searching for your pack. Please provide a link to it.

Always provide the API URL or a link to your pack details page when requesting custom modpack assistance. Your original download URL does not work (returns a 404).

Your pack "installs" just fine for me. However, it does not start successfully: You have a version of Backpack mod for 1.6.4. You'll need the 1.7.10 version.

Jurassicraft HELP (I'm desperate)
plowmanplow replied to Evilrockstar13's topic in Server Op Swap Shop
Those are two totally unrelated issues: Duplicate Mods: jcanimation : C:\Users\Joe\Desktop\Rexxit\mods\JurassiCraft-1.4.1.jar jcanimation : C:\Users\Joe\Desktop\Rexxit\mods\JurassiCraft-1.4.0bugfix.jar You had two different versions of the same mod in your /mods/ folder. [22:59:23] [Server thread/INFO]: Starting Minecraft server on *:25565 [22:59:23] [Server thread/WARN]: **** FAILED TO BIND TO PORT! You did not properly terminate your server process and tried to start another one. This doesn't work because the second process tries to use the same port which is in use by the first process. Properly terminate your Java processes. -
This thread likely belongs in Platform Pagoda. Hopefully a kind forum admin will move it. Always provide the API URL or pack details page link when requesting custom modpack assistance. Dropbox public links should have the "www" replaced with "dl" and have the question mark at the end removed along with anything trailing it. You have a file named "[1.7.10]......mod.zip.zip" in the mods folder. This looks like it is supposed to be a texture/resource pack but is broken for pretty much all versions of MC. In any event, it doesn't belong in the mods folder. You have some mods named in the format of "ModName-Mod-1.7.10.jar". Almost no authors name their mods like that. This is typically an indication that you have obtained the mods from an illegitimate source. This is "bad". Always get your mods directly from the authors. (You have many mods for which this applies) You have the AM2 API file (old). This is only for use by mod developers and should not be included in your pack. You should probably be using a newer version of Forge. Make sure you update mods to ensure compliance with the updated Fluids API. You currently have mods which require Forge >= #1355 and also mods which require Forge <= #1344. This won't work. You need to update Forge and all your mods. Flan's weapon/parts packs go in the /Flan/ folder, not in /mods/. Flan's Titan pack requires Mecha Parts pack (which you would notice if you got it from the author's website). You have so many mods from illegitimate sources that I am not going to do what would normally be my next debugging step, which is to try to run it in my test environment. Update Forge and all your mods (from their respective authors) and come back here with more details.

Yeah, that is the reset process. If you are doubly paranoid you could copy out your save games temporarily, but I don't think it messes with them.

I need help with a problem. Modded Server connection
plowmanplow replied to Lancars's topic in Cafe Lame
This likely belongs in Platform Pagoda. Hopefully a nice forum admin will move it. As for the error, there are way too many unknowns here: Which modpack is this (be specific, API URL, details link, etc.) What server process is being used? (Forge, Cauldron, versions, etc.) What do the crash reports or logs look like. -
@Cerandior: OP provided his API URL which is all that is required to get the modpack details (where you would see a 500M+ pack with hundreds of mods). If you don't have your own method for doing so, you may use my API URL decoder: http://www.circlecraft.info/platform

My modpack for friends is not working
plowmanplow replied to ModpackBilleonare's topic in Platform Pagoda
If you choose not to take the five minutes required to read through that post, and follow a simple set of instructions, then this is likely not the best place to find satisfaction for your requirements. We're not here to do your work for you (people responding to "make me a modpack" requests ended a long time ago). It is up to you to educate yourself, with our assistance when required. We offer assistance to guide you when things go awry. We're in the business of teaching people to fish, not giving away fish. -
You don't specify whether this is a client or server crash. I'm seeing things that make me think it's a server crash report, but seeing mods in the list which don't belong on a server. Always provide the API URL or a link to the pack details page when requesting custom modpack (or server) assistance. Assuming you are using Cauldron (or derivative), have you tried just Forge? Does the error happen there as well? Which specific version of the server process are you using? I see FastCraft in that list of mods. FastCraft and Cauldron are incompatible. Please provide more details.

My modpack for friends is not working
plowmanplow replied to ModpackBilleonare's topic in Platform Pagoda
That is not a properly assembled modpack. It is sufficiently incorrect that starting over is your better option. This post should help you: http://forums.technicpack.net/topic/103596-still-looking-for-help-building-custom-modpack/#comment-571785 -
Nice. That's not frustrating at all
-
Attachments don't work here. You'll need to use a pastebin service or a download service. Please provide the crash report in the same fashion.
-
Your pack includes too much unneeded stuff. You should remove everything from the /bin/ folder except modpack.jar. You should remove the /mods/VoxelMods/ folder and its contents. Your pack is too large. A pack that size is nearly impossible to test and debug. If you aren't able to do it yourself, then you probably shouldn't be trying to create and maintain a pack of that size. Best of luck, but you'll find little help here.

Cannot Load Any Mods Through The Technic Launcher
plowmanplow replied to RD_PLAYS_MC's question in Technic Launcher
Use a pastebin service for log data. Attachments don't work. Post links to your crash-report, most recent forge mod loader log, etc. (the more data, the easier it is to help).- 10 replies
