  1. Tekkit Classic is indeed very good. The new tekkit is missing a few features that classic provided, and offers quite a few the tekkit classic didn't have. I think both are good. Tekkit Classic was quite overpowered and unbalanced. I think the new tekkit is pretty balanced. I feel from your post that you haven't given the new tekkit a fair chance. Thermal Expansion and Applied Energistics are just amazing. EE3 is basically a minium stone right now. It is in no way a replacement for EE2 which was way too overpowered. Anyway, both are good packs. They have their pros and cons. There are ways to automate just about anything in each. There is no need to use BC pipes for power in either pack.

  4. If you want EE2, I'd suggest adding millinaire to tekkit classic.
  5. Pulverizer requires RF, which is made by dynamos. Stirling only produces MJ. Conduits will output in RF or MJ but as far as I know there is no way to turn MJ into RF. Before Tekkit moved to 1.6.4, Thermal Expansion used/produced MJ, but they created their own power system when the mod moved to 1.6
  6. Hi Luxury. This thread is more discussion than any talk of progress. They'll test it and then name it recommended. No warning. Hopefully soon. Looks like it will be awesome. I'm looking forward to drums.
  7. Cursed Earth really is the way to go. With Spawners you have to be nearby for them to spawn mobs. Cursed Earth spawns mobs as long as the chunk it is in is loaded.
  8. You can use some of the energy cells from thermal expansion. The resonant cell holds 50 million RF....which is 5 million MJ.
  9. According to the wiki, torches placed in your inventory should automatically go into the storage on your power fist.

  11. Is the nether enabled in system properties? I'm not sure how the portals behave if nether is disabled.

  13. I believe the issue is MJ to RF conversion....it holds 5 million RF or 500k MJ
  14. Your server is using the default minecraft server instead of tekkit.jar. Your client side mods will still work, but none of the mods that are required to be on both client and server will work.
  15. tekkit is on 1.6.4, you want MCPC+ for 1.6.4, not 1.7.2
  16. Do you have a crash report? Could be an ID conflict causing the crash..not sure. You would need to add the jar/zip to both the server mods folder and each client would have to add it as well.
  17. I didn't really want to use the stable unstable ingots but I think that is probably my best option. Does seem to be working well other than I need to activate a lot more sigils.
  18. They use MyTown and Lockette on the server I play on and I have not been griefed once.
  19. Is there a way to autocraft ethereal glass? I've tried cyclic assemblers, ME Crafting Terminal, and ME Molecular Assembly Chamber. I also tried a project bench and have had 0 luck so far.
  20. Capture a witch in a safari net and autospawn them. If you need a good mob farm to produce essence try cursed earth. You'll need silk touch to get it as far as I know.

  23. Not sure if those mods have 1.2.5 versions or not but if you want to make a server with additional mods you are probably better off creating a custom modpack with them added and offering the link to it.
  24. Yeah my host is down and not responding. Very dissatisfied with the customer service.
  25. Not real sure but try removing chat bubbles and the nei additions, not nei but just the plugins from other mods. I believe they are only needed client side.
