Finally? This is just an AE automation of what has been standard for >quite a while.

A clunky one at that. The Cryotheum-based Obsidian generator would have been a way more efficient choice here, although it cannot be made to work on-demand.

I think you can make it work on demand using pistons to stop the lava or cryo flow
