I am being serious. I've cut redpower out of my own personal pack now, because apparently it's vitally important that I not be allowed to configure what worldgen options are there, unlike every other mod ever. And no other mod I can think of makes such obnoxious changes to the world.

This is one of the only things I can not stand about Red Power... You either have all of it, or none of it.

I use far too many of the RP features to ever go without permanently. the wires, the logic gates, the tubes and associated machines, the frames, etc. I will say though that because of RP, I often shun other mods. sometimes for good reason, like the older BC versions, and sometimes simply because I can't be assed and RP does stuff just fine for me.

The only stuff I'm missing out on are the machines, primarily the Block Breaker, and I have Minefactory Reloaded for that, with the added advantage of actually requiring fuel rather than running off magic.

E: that's not to say it's a bad mod, Redpower is amazing. I just don't like my game freezing up every 4 minutes while a new volcano is generated, right on top of the grove of diamond trees I was tracking towards

That's funny stuff right there. I usually use some RP stuff, but I haven't ever went all out. I really do strive to have a good mix of all the mods.

You may want to revise that post as it seems low effort, or you could always leave it and we can share an avatar if the mods take offense to it.

I'm aware of the irony in saying this, but that is /kinda/ backseat modding.

The real question is, is saying someone is backseat modding, backseat modding by itself? :hmm:

Back on topic, I just wanted to know if anyone could resume the new stuff that is to be in RP? I can hardly believe, however perfectionist she is, that Eloraam can pass all this time only fixing bugs and doing the SSP-SMP conversion stuff. Are there new features that have been released?

A Loggy pipes-esque item manager.

That's all IC2 items I believe.

Nope, wrong again...

The new RP will have high/mid/low voltage bluetricity, blocks to convert between the three, wires for all three voltages, as well as new generators and the new bluetricity->buildcraft engine. And the new sorting and RP computer/frame blocks.

If Eloraam added those that would be cool! I can't watch the video as the computer I use at work I'm fairly sure uses a cool ranch dorito as a processor.

Also, in order for me to be "wrong again" I have to be wrong more than once. Cite your source.

stuff added to RP so far, based on DW20 server play videos, an incomplete list:

item managers

sort-tron

wind mill blulectric power generation

high voltage wire

high voltage transformer

blulectric engine (self scaling, max output of 32 MJ/t(!!))

sorting machines now have an "auto pulse" mode that makes them activate as if they got a redstone signal every second or so

can't think of anything else off the top of my head.

You forgot the best addition of all.

Project tables now have a slot for plans. You put the recipe in the grid, put the blank plan in the slot, push the button, and never have to put the recipe in the grid again. You just put the written plan in the plan slot and it auto-populates the recipe. It will even highlight ingredients that aren't in the project table already.
