  1. Restarting the server should clear those - for me it seemed to be morph that was causing it, If you can, can you try disabling that serverside (just move the morph jar out of the mod folder) briefly and see if you can confirm it? They can cause issues - they're fine where they are but if one of them ends up in a portal you'll get a crash.
  2. Yes! Yes yes! It's slow, but awesome - set up an item cannon next to a chest, and set the chest to draw everything from the inventories around - then set an item cannon up with a redstone timer
  3. The update should include items called fetishes - there's a few types and one of those is capable of blocking teleports if you're near it. As a witch-hunter you're still better off with a little witchery - making poppets mainly. The effectiveness of the witches defenses has improved, but it's still not significant enough really to encourage you to use it for the damage, though the nullifying bolts can be useful you'll still probably end up using a TC weapon after hitting them with that (it drains their power which makes it much harder for them to escape). Nether stars are actually fairly easy to get in this modpack, so building a statue of the goddess is a good idea if they're just being a nuisance. If they're pissing around with mainly just witchery stuff and aren't using some other armour and weapons (so it's mostly from witchery) then it's a good counter - remember it's overall worse than standard gear though, so if they've got a mix or in the worst case they're set up like DragonScythe (they're just using witchery as a bonus, not as the primary tool) then you won't have a chance. In general poppets for protection and standard/TC gear are still a better option (crossbow with nullifying bolts is a must though, it's too useful to ignore if they depend a lot of witchery abilities).
  4. There's also a tool in MFR called the Unifier which switches like items between their different modpack variants, and melting any copper down in the smeltery then casting it into ingots or blocks will convert it to the tinkers version if you really want it specifically for some reason. If you've found something where it's really not interchangeable though please report it on the tracker, that's a really helpful thing to do.
  5. Unfortunately this is unlikely to be possible for a while for a couple of reasons - I don't think Realms has mod support yet (it's planned, but not available yet AFAIK) and most of the mods in B-Team aren't compatible with 1.7+ yet. Edit: If you want it though be sure to mention it to Mojang directly, if they don't think people want the mod support (and are willing to pay for it) then they'll leave it a low priority.
  6. It should be fine to remove any version, if problems happen they shouldn't be related to the java uninstallation and you can have as many or as few versions installed at the same time (even none at all) for all windows cares. B-Team pretty much needs the 64-bit version of java, and other applications you have may need the 32-bit version (like a browser), so it depends on you individually if you have a need for the 32-bit one. ...the fact that this website is a thing makes me feel sorry for people who work in retail. That said, I've got a few old EDO-RAM machines around, I wonder if they have any of that in 'stock', that stuff is hard to find.
  7. A highly inefficient but way more awesome option is cargo rockets
  8. Please post a log to the tracker (links to tracker and tracker guidelines are in my sig).
  9. No worries If you have problems in future, the tracker section at the top of the page is where they should go - links to help can be found in my sig if you need them.
  10. Recently, Daniel? I remember them being 3x3, then bugged, then 1, then bugged, but I've only seen jungle saplings that needed 2x2 - you're sure it wasn't those?
  11. Thanks for your input here Kalbintion - I haven't used one of those tools myself in years, all the ones I've used seem to be abandoned now. TFM, the procedure goes like this (and you'll need to do it with every new bunch of mods you add) add a mod (or bunch of mods if you prefer). check for conflicts (if no conflicts, great, you're done - tell the other guys to grab the same mod as you and they can play). if there's conflicts you'll need to change the ids, you can do it manually for one or two or just use that tool. the other users now have id mismatches - the simplest way is to just give them copies of your modded version again. This won't work for everything - there can be conflicts other than simple item ID clashes, but that's starting to get complicated and it's in the territory of a full modpack - theres a forum specifically for those details here somewhere if it goes that far.
  12. OK, to get dxdiag open you need to either open up your start menu and type dxdiag (it's a little blue circle with a yellow x in it), or open the run window (Windows key + R) type dxdiag and hit enter. Getting a screenshot from a windows app is a little different, go to the display tab, press and hold CTRL + ALT and tap Print Screen - you'll then be able to open up paint and paste (CTRL + V) the picture you took.
  13. Sometimes you get ones that are too hard for you right now - it's fine to ignore those witches and come back to them later.
  14. Not just the latest, the latest Java 64 bit version. It won't grab it automatically unless you have a 64-bit browser (which you won't have automatically). If you've never gone to the trouble of downloading a 64-bit browser or 64-bit java manually, you won't have what you need yet.
  15. The config files for each mod often have options for the id's, yeah, that's the easiest way. There's an automated tool for resolving mismatching IDs, but it'd change them all over the place and you'd have effectively a new version of the pack everyone would have to get from you.
  16. Oh, awesome You're going to learn something that lets you show off your minecraft builds to all your buddies. In game, press F2, it'll give you a little message like the one in this picture, then quit back out (or alt-tab, just not in minecraft anymore). Now go to explorer (computer/my computer) and type in the address for the screenshot folder, it should be at %AppData%.technicmodpacksattack-of-the-bteamscreenshots by default if you can't find it yourself. In there you'll find a file which is a picture of what was on your screen in game a minute ago, it'll have the same name that it said in game when you pressed f2. Next, you need to put it somewhere online so we can see it. I like Imgur.com, make a (free) account, then once you're logged in click the images button in the top right. It'll bring up an empty folder looking thing. Simply drag your screenshot file in there, it'll take a minute to upload, then you'll see it on that page. Click it, and it'll give you a bunch of options for links on the right - you want BBCode to post it here probably, but any will do really. Your picture is now on the internet! P.S. Where'd your other post with the question I responded to go - do you still see it? I see myself doubleposting now - the question was about a probable issue with the graphics card, right? (please repeat it anyway when you post on the tracker)
  17. Yep, that pings fine, you can hide it now. That means it's set up at the DNS end. The next step is to doublecheck the IP matches what you're expecting (to see the no-ip DUC is working and your ISP hasn't handed off that address and I'm pinging some random person ) When you ping it should show you your ip, then google "what is my ip" and it'll tell you before the search results what your public IP address is. If those match, then everything is in place up to the router. Next is the port check - you said 25565 isn't working but 25566 is? Fine - we'll use that. Open the server.properties file in the attack of the b-team root folder and look for this line; server-port=25565 Change that to 25566, and you're good (if you set up port 25565 requests to go to your computer port 25566 already, if not, do that in the router). Edit: We're drifting into territory which might be better served on the tracker soon (minecraft/bteam setup rather than generic stuff) - please let me know how that went here then we should probably move this there if we need to continue.
  18. This is the address people need to use. It's hosted on the no-ip end and all it does is pass requests onto whatever IP you tell it from your account (that's the no-ip DUC application - you send requests from there, it checks your login info, sees what IP the request came from and sets the forwarding up to go to that). It seems to be falling down on that first step - if I try to ping that address it fails, so either it's not been set up properly or it's not propagated yet (the internet isn't instant, DNS updates can take a day or so to get around the world so if you've only just done this then you may have to just wait a day, if it's a fake address you've given - sensible - then it's to be expected, but you should be able to ping it yourself). What we have at the moment is 'ping could not find host', which means that no-ip doesn't have that address registered yet as far as the internet from my perspective can see. If it fails when you ping that with 'request timed out' then that means it connected to the no-ip servers, got passed on, but nothing responded after that (a port forwarding or firewall issue).
  19. There are many urban legends about how to get it... Some say make a pan out of pig iron... Some say it can only be found in village blacksmiths... All the rumours have one things in common... all are wrong. It's a creative mode tool only, for messing around.
  20. Bronze isn't pure copper, it's an alloy of copper and tin. If you've got a smeltery, simply combine 3 parts copper with 1 part tin in there. Alternatively, "Tinker's Alloy" is also a type of bronze. You can pulverize tin and copper then combine them on a crafting bench to get tinkers alloy blend (using the same ratio, 3:1 copper to tin) then furnace that, or just do the same thing in an induction smelter. Either of those metals should then be usable in the compressor to get 'compressed bronze'. Have fun!
  21. Those usually come with a plugin called Essentials. There's a few that are specifically those commands with none of the rest, and economy plugins which add some sort of cost to those systems, but that depends on what you want. Before you can run plugins, you need to install a tool called MCPC+ which will allow you to both run plugins (like essentials) and mods (like forge and b-team). Alternatively, there is a mod called ForgeEssentials which aims to replicate the bukkit (plugin) essentials functionality without having to do anything like that, but I haven't tried it so I'm not sure what's in it. I haven't used any of these in singleplayer, but they should work (they'll stop you being able to connect to servers though, so setting up a server on the same computer then connecting to it through 'multiplayer' may be a better option, you get more commands available that way anyway and it's easier to get help as it's something more people are familiar with).
  22. led, that's a strange issue, please post it up on the tracker along with a screenshot of the display tab from dxdiag.
  23. You need to have a 64-bit OS running 64-bit java in order to allocate more than 1GB, you can get Java here (you need to get the 64-bit version manually); https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
  24. No worries, I hope you find some good people
  25. I meant witchery is already in - sorry, should've been clearer - the question there is whether you'd want to add ars magica or thaumcraft (it's written to work alongside either), but both of those are significantly more powerful than witchery and give faster returns (maybe not as obviously useful or applicable to other strategies, but certainly more powerful alone), so you'd probably end up minimizing witchery a bit by adding those at this point. I think there's enough guns, to be honest, but it's a popular thing people like to add (or cars, or planes). I think there's enough tech stuff - there's a few things missing, but they're missing intentionally (minions instead of quarries, no pumps so you can't quite automate everything without a significant cost to doing so). I'd suggest you start by working your way through the mods that are included, you should get a feel for what you wish was in the pack from that. Feel free to ask here if you think it's missing something, there's a lot of times I've thought the pack needed something just to find it was already included in one of the mods I haven't used before and I simply hadn't realised
