  1. The dialling upgrade disables that method of starting the portal, you need to use a dialler instead (you can't have them be permanent open to one another anymore). They basically can work in two ways; 1: Multiple portals with just dimensional upgrade, all of them on the same 'address' You use the flint and steel here, when you enter a portal you'll come out of one of the others with the same 'address' randomly (and open the receiving end when you come out of it). 2: Multiple portals with dialler, all on different addresses You use the dialler devices here to pick the destination address, the portal will open for a time (set in the dialler) to the other end. If you're going somewhere there's more than one exit from (multiple portals, same address), it'll pick at random. You can't dial into an already open portal. Also note that upgrades take effect after the portal activates - if you put upgrades like sound or particle removal into an already active portal it shouldn't work (you need to open the portal after putting in the upgrades, when it opens is when it does the check).
  2. You can find a guide on how to get a log in my signature. First though, get the latest Java 64 from here; https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp Then set the amount to 1.5GB-3GB in here;
  3. I'm interested to know what you'd want the app to do too - you mean like a 'common items' recipe app, or a way to actually play the game from a phone?
  4. Upgrade the sword to a more damaging one - the manyullyn TC cleaver with a bunch of sharpness upgrades should be able to have looting III and still one-shot most things.
  5. What tech do you think is missing, exactly? I find it pretty tech-heavy.
  6. EpicSC, perhaps you weren't paying attention, or perhaps I wasn't clear, so I'll repeat this - that system fairly commonly destroys the chunk it's in and has been known to destroy every chunk power coming from it is connected to. It is both the fastest way of generating power, and the only power system with the 'corrupts worlds' mechanic built in. Your 80RF per tick max output magmatic generators are filling up a resonant cell (50,000,000RF capacity) in less than a minute, which by my maths means they're outputting more than 20,000RF per tick each - you don't think that's unusual at all? (hint: it's a bug) Taking power out of GC wires doesn't work correctly at present due to a fix for a bug where they weren't putting out any power at all - now they put out all the power they have in the entire system at every TE output point, potentially multiplying the output exponentially (which is why it suddenly makes loads of power out of nowhere and why it can overflow over the max possible amounts of power to be in storage, machines or wires and corrupt chunks). You have no need of lava fabricators or magma crucibles (I think you meant magmatic generator anyway), nothing like that as that's not how it works, it's just one example of this bug working - putting a leadstone energy cell in there instead would work just as well. Some machines are more susceptible than others to having issues, though where a machine screws up it usually just stops the world from loading (they can be removed with MCEdit). You can use witchery to cast a spell that changes the biome your solar panels are inside to a desert biome, or better yet just put them on a space station (double output).
  7. If you've got mob essence rather than liquid XP, you can use a straw.
  8. Hi pmthemouse, Please put this up on the tracker with the log - details on how to get the log and how to post on the tracker are in my sig Welcome to the forums!
  9. Sounds like something went wrong with the update, that's not normal behaviour at all. First I'd try resetting the modpack - click the little cog on the left (under the b-team icon) and you'll get that option. Start there. If that doesn't fix it after applying the update again, please post on the tracker in more detail - links and help about how to do that are in my sig.
  10. It sounds like witchery, though I'm not familiar with that exact thing. Try getting a voodoo protection poppet if you've not been using the crystal ball (it seems a lot like the crystal ball events to me). It's not tinkers.
  11. DS's way is easy to do and cheap to set up early on, you should be able to set up that system in your first play session without much issue, then tweak it as he suggested to get more efficiency out of it (or just use it as a source of core saplings for witchery - not the witchery saplings themselves though). MCShammer - don't try the "cheaty" method in a chunk you'd like to keep (I don't know why it needs quotes, it's actually a bug that multiplies output so if it's not cheaty I don't know what would count), as it commonly causes chunk corruption for people.
  12. Don't worry about not looking like you're on the helm - I've seen it where a player was able to walk around for a couple seconds away from the ship before it crashed and they were still actually attached to the ship, mashing left-shift teleported them back to the helm and disconnected them. If you've tried that a few times and given up on it though, you'll just have to contact the server owner and get them to remove the entity.
  13. That's a really odd filename for that file, you might want to check here and look at the install instructions; http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/909223-164-smp-chickenbones-mods/ I'm not sure this is the right place for that question though - what are you trying to achieve? Is it related to the B-Team modpack somehow?
  14. Please post that up on the tracker, that's a really useful bit of info and it's more likely to be seen there.
  15. Drink it, yes, with a straw. MFR straws are pretty entertaining if you've never used them (try a nice refreshing pool of sewage, poison-water or even lava!).
  16. Ooh, are you offering?
  17. Can you screenshot it so we can see? Really could be just about anything.
  18. Some people seem to be lucky - or more likely some chunks correctly cap the maximum and others don't, but I don't know the details of it - it seems like it restricts to the chunks with infinite power, so as long as you keep the infinite power in that one chunk and just use TE conduits out of an energy cell or something then it's only that chunk that should be at risk. I avoid it at all, but if you encounter an oddity (it's not always infinite power output, it's possible to end up with infinite power drain too) just remember to check for this. Hopefully it'll be fixed at some point - it came in when they added lighter rules for galacticraft UE because it wasn't accepting or distributing power at all in the version before this one
  19. Drink it with a straw Seriously though, you can use it directly in a reactant dynamo, convert it to liquidXP and use it in a compression dynamo, or use it for the auto-enchanting systems from either of those mods.
  20. I'm sorry Eidos, I don't know what that means in the context of this thread, it's kind of wandered all over the place. Can you clarify a bit please about what you're having a problem with?
  21. Andyhoi, that is in fact a well documented bug, not an undocumented one. It's also well known to cause chunk corruption in worlds - avoid connecting galacticraft wires to TE systems more than once (that includes the MFR stuff). If you look around you can find out details about what it does and how it does it, but that's pretty much the end result.
  22. This was left out deliberately (I don't know why). You should be able to use the carpenters-blocks/painterly flower pot though, it should work with all of those and you can make it look however you want, too (you can even put things other than dirt in it if you want).
  23. When he joins he just needs to keep mashing shift to get off the airship, it should eventually work. Failing that, it can be removed in MCEdit (it shows up as an entity, not blocks).
  24. Try allocating 2GB to the launcher or 1.5GB, instead of 3GB (counterintuitively it's only better to set more if you're actually running out - the more you have available in minecraft the more work it does and the more load it puts on the CPU - it should give you a warning message about this in the launcher). You should listen to advice, too - you can always put optifine back again, but without removing it you can't say for sure whether it's that which is causing the problem or not. It saves time to try.
