  1. 2014/01/08 your log is from last year. Edit your post to delete that wall of text, find the correct log and use a pastebin site (pastebin.com or paste.ubuntu.com) and post the link here instead
  2. it's not odd. Look up how many mods are updated to 1.8 MC just to name a few: Galacticraft, Buildcraft and Minefactory Reloaded is for 1.7x
  3. Error occurred during initialization of VM [INFO] Could not reserve enough space for 1048576KB object heap awesomedog, your log states that the launcher doesn't have enough RAM to play. Anything between 1-3GB is required, with big packs like attack of the B-team you need max 3GB. You can change this in the Launcher Options on the top right corner on the launcher window and at the Java Settings tab
  4. this isn't a launcher issue, as the issue is on the custom pack itself. The launcher does not "insist", it doesn't have a mind of its own. It launches the pack exactly the way you put it. Post your issue on the Platform Pagoda
  5. I think the next Technic modpack might have Forge included
  6. post the crash log on a pastebin site. pastebin.com or paste.ubuntu.com
  7. OPs last visit was 25th of April last year. I doubt he will reply now Edit. might aswell lock this to prevent further people responding here. OP, if you want this thread back contact me or staff so you can edit your title according to the Server Guidelines.
  8. we post issues with Technic packs on Bug Reports, that's why I posted this thread http://forums.technicpack.net/topic/60459-track-tekkit-issues/ and pinned it so you would notice it.
  9. no, the 64 and 32bits will only decide whether or not you can give more than 1GB RAM to the launcher you sure you don't have multiple javas installed? If you only uninstalled one it wouldn't make much difference when the launcher reverts to another
  10. same error shown. I forgot to ask, can you play vanilla?
  11. this gets locked. OP, remain on the original post you created until your issue is fixed. You got a warning for this
  12. Caused by: java.net.UnknownHostException: authserver.mojang.com you're having connection problems on Mojang's end. Do you have any security software - antivirus, firewall, webproxy or Netnanny - that can cause this? Try disabling them. Google for instructions
  13. Caused by: java.net.SocketException: Unrecognized Windows Sockets error: 10106: create it's been a while since I seen this. The socket in question is either used or blocked by your security software - Technic launcher is considered "third-party" and might therefore not be accepted by your security on the PC. Googling the error line I also found out this can be caused by malware. First things first: try uninstalling all your java (if you have several installed), restart your PC and then reinstall your java. Still didn't work? Try disabling your antivirus, firewall, webproxy or NetNanny (if you have one). Now try the launcher
  14. post the log logs can be found when clicking the Cog-Wheel button on the top right corner on the launcher window. If you can't open the launcher the logs can also be found inside %appdata% -> Roaming -> .technic -> logs Paste the content on pastebin.com or paste.ubuntu.com and give the link.
  15. ajthema, if you're still around, can you post the log logs can be found when clicking the Cog-Wheel button on the top right corner on the launcher window. If you can't see the Launcher Options button then you need to access the logs where the launcher folder is saved, where that is on Ubuntu I don't know. Paste the content on pastebin.com or paste.ubuntu.com and give the link.
  16. Read this http://forums.technicpack.net/topic/59496-the-technic-launcher39s-future/?do=findComment&comment=583427 it's a post by a Technic admin. The original poster from that thread asked the same question, including why Technic doesn't keep the old launcher around.
  17. it is bad behaviour to push yourself in on someone elses report. Create your own report
  18. you need to follow up with Minecraft versions and their changelogs a bit closer. Mojang changed pigs attention from wheat to carrot
  19. those two first modpacks are custom packs, contact the authors , as Technic didn't create them and nor are we responsible for them. As for Classic, Voltz and Bigdig; post the log logs can be found when clicking the Cog-Wheel button on the top right corner on the launcher window. If you can't open the launcher the logs can also be found inside %appdata% -> Roaming -> .technic -> logs Paste the content on pastebin.com or paste.ubuntu.com and give the link.
  20. org.lwjgl.opengl.OpenGLException: Invalid enum Update your graphics drivers
  21. Munaus

    Hexxit Won't start

java.lang.RuntimeException: No OpenGL context found in the current thread. might be a graphics drivers issue. Is your drivers up to date?
  22. java.util.MissingFormatArgumentException: Format specifier '%s' this is not the launchers doing, it's java. Try uninstalling it, restart your PC and then reinstall java
  23. C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_67\ why are you running the development kit of java?
  24. he did not ask for you to post your server. He wanted someone to explain to him HOW to set up a server
  25. Does the Tekkit modpack download or not? You're not giving me much information here. What do you mean by "how to get onto servers"? Can you not find the Multiplayer button on the Minecraft window or what?
