The launcher needs to open using Java. Tell your Mac to "Open With Java" I don't have Mac, I forget the exact procedure.

Don't allocate more than 4GB of ram. Make sure you are using your fancy GPU instead of onboard GPU when you start the launcher. Pastebin your latest log too, perhaps there is something in there,

Did you go into your modpack settings page and paste in the new link, and then increment your pack version number? After you do this, there can be up to an hour delay.

In order to get your logs, please go into the Launcher Options (upper-right corner), then on the bottom-left corner of that screen, click "Open Logs". The logs are all called techniclauncher_YYYY-MM-DD.log, with YYYY being the Year, MM being the Month, and DD being the day. Open the latest one and copy the contents. Goto Pastebin.com and paste them here and hit Create New Paste. Copy and paste the address of that paste here so I can see it too.

I tried your Lite pack, saw the same thing. I noticed that 'H' was bound to something else, so I unbound it, and it worked. I had to run to work, did not have time to kill any mobs with hats, but the GUI did come up for me after fixing the key bindings.

Looks like a spear you are holding, or that is in your inventory is at fault. Ask the server owner to either edit your player file and remove the corrupt item, or just remove your player file (you will lose all items). After that, try logging in again
