NO COREMOD DATA; LEGACY DOSENT FIX-JAVA v7-79
AetherPirate replied to kyle66087's question in Tekkit
You are missing a dependency, add the latest codechickencore for 1.7.10 http://chickenbones.net/Pages/links.html You need to update NEI to the latest version as well. Also, the Aquatic Abyss mod had a missing dependency. http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1289836-animationapi-animate-your-entities-v1-2-3 The Mariculture mod needs Enchiridion, grab that too. And remove the legacy fixer jar, it doesn't apply to you. If you add more mods, read the author's instructions.- 2 replies

Big Reactors are not hard to make. If you like lava for power, use the magmatic dynamo. There is a thread stickied in this forum that explains most things about tekkit if you are new to this version.

I downloaded your pack and see the problem. Your bin folder doesn't have the forge universal renamed to modpack.jar, it has the forge installer renamed to modpack.jar. After I grabbed the right forge .jar and renamed it, your client pack launches.

Step one is install 64 bit java Step two is to click the cogwheel on the top right of the launcher and you'll be able to give it more ram.
-
http://javadl.sun.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=109708 64 bit java does work with windows 8.1, and you'll need it to enable more ram for the launcher so you can play Blightfall, and most other modpacks.
-
Try it. Unless the pack is huge, should be enough for most.

Attachments don't work. Use pastebin.

So I've been playing a lot with Rotarycraft and Electric craft. I want to build a large powerplant with lots of gas turbines connected to induction generators, and run wire to induction motors that connect to the various RC devices around the base. I built nine gas turbines as a test. I have them all connecting to one induction motor that connects to a CVT, then an extractor. I wasn't getting all the power I expected, so I added a 2nd induction motor and my missing power appeared. My question is what is the limit on the induction motor? How many amp / volts can it convert back into shaft power? I want to plan ahead as I add more machines.

Put NEI back in, and lets see those new errors, but use pastebin.

Whoops, wasn't paying attention to where I was. Move along.

Open Block tanks look cool.

1) I remember you had to change keybindings and assign the jetpack a key to use. Its a special menu, I think you kit "K" or maybe "J" to access it. 2) Press space when it is selected. You can change what device is active on your power glove with your mouse scroll wheel. The railgun generates LOTS of heat. Build the plasma gun, if you haven't. It is lots of fun, especially when you forget it is the active item, and you blow a hole in your base by accident 3) Forget the suit batteries, take them all out. Just carry a charged TE energy cell, the suit will pull from that. 4) Use energy shields only, take out any plating you put on, and crank it up. 5) You need heat sinks and the cooling module, especially if you will be firing that railgun. Your suit can fry you very fast. Sometime for no reason, especially in desert biomes (it is a bit buggy sometimes) Put the shock absorbers in the boots, You can still take damage and die from ungraceful landings without them. Don't add the kinetic energy re-gen module, it had a nasty habit of killing you. This suit is awesome on the Moon, especially for the light module. Its one of the few things that can light that place up.

If Lexmanos java legacy fixer isn't in there, add it and try again

Spawner in the Dark, but not spawning
AetherPirate replied to DicheBach's topic in Tekkit Lite Discussion
I think I recall a bug with those lights, your suspicion is correct, they are never really off. Remove the lights or cover them with dirt for testing and see if anything spawns. -
Jetpacks. Being able to fly in the nether is the safest way to go.

Insanely long ticks running custom modpack
AetherPirate replied to sablabaesj's topic in Platform Pagoda
I'd start by removing most of those java args to simplify troubleshooting. -Xms4G -Xmx4G -XX:PermSize=256M I'm no java expert, but this basic setup should be sufficient. What are the specs of the machine you are running this on? -
Download problem for costum modpacks

Download problem for costum modpacks
AetherPirate replied to TimmyTheDoggy's question in Technic Launcher
I get the same error. It means the author really does need to fix the dropbox link. There are many broken and abandoned custom packs, keep looking, or look for recently advertised servers. -
Update to Java 8 and give it another shot.

Does anyone else want big dig to be updated?
AetherPirate replied to daniel brior's topic in Platform Pagoda
Building your own updated Big Dig is possible, look at the mod list and see what mods are available in 1.7.10, and make your own custom pack.
