I don't use either of them. They both focus only on the technical mods. I need more adventure and design aspects for mine. The technical stuff is only there so I can create the elements I need to build my world. also, FTB has gregtech and I won't support anything with that.

For things like creating mods or making texture packs compatible it could be pretty useful though. I'm not sure how much use there would be but might make it easier to sort for those looking for that kind of info.
