The only thing that really bugged me about pumpkins vs. jack o lanterns was that they looked identical except that jack o lanterns let off light. Nothing serious, but it was just one of those details that just bugged me. Please tell me the jack o lanterns have yellow or something to represent that they are lit up? Edit: Oh, those images on the OP are looking fine! Everything's so smooth, clean, and, and... Simple. I love it - I love the passionate practicality of it. I think I may write a love poem to these textures by the time it's all said and done.

If I remember correctly, I believe I read that they have permissions for most (If not all) mods... Earlier in this thread.

I honestly don't know and cannot help you in any way, shape, or form, just wanted to put my two cents in that this really isn't a bug rather it's just a mod issue (Check Modder's Metropolis?) and updating. Edit: Holy run-on sentence, Batman! That's a run-on sentence!

I don't think this would necessarily go into the bugs section (As it was user error, not a bug that has to do with Tekkit itself), but maybe the general Tekkit section. Regardless, the updated version may not be compatible with Tekkit (Or the mods included therein), or may simply be for MC version 1.3, and not 1.2.5 (Tekkit's current reccomended version).

This sort of thing just happens sometimes, I'm sorry to say. I don't know if it has to do with chunk loading or anything, but I've noticed that is just sometimes happens so checking water sources somewhat regularly and keeping storage tanks full of water just in case it runs out is something I recommend.

It starts that way, but eventually it moves on and someone random takes offense and it escalates quickly. Best to quash it before it gets worse, in my opinion. Example here, I decided I could stay involved but not involved by playing devil's advocate (No pun intended) and it got nobody nowhere and it was a mistake. Edit: Also, I know religion was bashed from the get-go, but folks tend to blame fanaticism on the religion, as opposed to fanaticism on crazy people (Then people uninvolved in the topic get offended and join in). Religious fanatics as opposed to other forms were pointed out for a reason.

Then I guess you won't be happy to find another TR soldier in your midst, huh? Although not for reasons discussed earlier in the thread "GUNZ NI SHIT," I'll be fighting for the Terran Republic. Mostly because they are most often seen as 'evil and oppressive' (I love being the antihero), their government is identical to one an old gaming clan I used to be a part of had created (Ah, nostalgia!), and they are the only faction that has a color scheme that doesn't depress me, frankly (Too much bright blue, yellow, and purple for the others).

I didn't realize an argument and some random person's word was a source you could irrefutably cite. But hey, who knows, that random hater might actually be the most educated child on the subject of permissions, and know everything about law a 10-to-12-year-old could know about how 'illegal' our modpack is and why normal mods aren't. When did this become the time or place to start bashing religions or religion in general? Because I certainly don't want any part of that pointless flame war that just pisses off would-be friends and divides the community.

Maybe just make this into a contest? Make a fresh world with a template for the space ship, then see what teams can do? You'd rely on the honesty of the people, of course, but you could have contests on who can build the best 'moon base' (Essentially the base from which you gather resources, build, and whatnot on the foreign planet), who has the best ship, who is the most aesthetically talented, etc. Screenshots and preferably video would be a great thing for entries, and it could be a fun little contest for the forumers here if you can get them motivated. Edit: Of course you could just have them do it all on server over the course of a time limit you imagine.

They don't really want to see permissions, they just want another reason to justify their unexplained hatred for the Technic pack. Some just don't want to look stupid when they yell, "They don't let me pirate it!" So instead they scream, "They don't have permissions!" Edit: And whether or not we do or ever have is irrelevent to them. We could have had permissions from all mods ever in the pack, and from all mods that will ever be included in the pack from before we added them to the pack, they would still spread hearsay and say we didn't or just plain find something else to bitch about.

I'd prefer a dummy in armor to a pumpkin and sack on a stick. Don't get me wrong, but I don't plan to use them for actual target practice and suits of armor lining my evil lair's corridors would just be awesome.

Been playing about with it and the parts that I've seen that look finished look great and blend well with my non-mod creations. Nothing sticks out and screams, "Hey, look at me! I'm from a mod and I'm bright and shiny and don't belong here!" and that's my main concern with darker TPs - that everything blends together. I don't have any complaints really, but I haven't played around with it for more than half an hour or so. As for suggestions: Don't drop the ball when it comes to armors. Armor is the one thing I love to have stand out just a bit when it comes to a TP, and it is one of the things (Or the one thing, IMHO) the Sphax pack does right. Nano and Quantum should look advanced or at least unique and aesthetically pleasing, as well as dark/red matter armors. Other than that, I don't have anything to say other than great job so far and I wish you luck!

Like I'd ever admit to playing that game for more than five minutes, much less five years. Betcha can still find me on the highscores though, under a name you'd never guess.

Not to be a dickbag or anything, but I'd just suggest taking a gander at this - please - before a moderator sees something he or she dislikes. Just a friendly suggestion.

Setting up and owning a server? One. I know how to launch the server, set OPs, configuration, bans, etc. That is all I know and all I need to know to run a server for myself and maybe one or two others playing together. Gameplay? Six at best, three at worst. I like aesthetics more than anything. I'd rather have an EMC farm running 24/7 so I can mass-produce building blocks with which to build cities, fortresses, lairs, and my empire in general than go mucking about setting up quarries and whatnot to produce the advanced items with which to help myself and my friends build the empire. Edit: I believe that, as they say, style is everything!

Imperfection does not equal hypocrisy (Edit: Well, sometimes it does, as is the human condition. Anyways.). At least miniboxer makes the effort (Successfully, as we all understood him quite easily) to be understood and not look like a child who can't use more than one index finger on a keyboard whilst needing to stare at it (The keyboard) the entire time. Could be the site's software that they don't intend to use. Plus they may eventually open comments (Although I don't have any idea why) on something.

Let's hopefully not go into that again on this thread. Just search 'Forestry' and you should get enough information on it all to know what happened without too much ("Too much") hearsay.

I have always preferred darker texture packs, Isabella was my first (And for a long, long time favorite) texture pack for that reason. Nothing's too bright, nothing stands out way too much and it all looks somewhat uniform in its plainness. But Sphax... If I had another option that was above 16x and not just plain ugly, I'd take it. Nothing too much against it, it's a good pack, just... Too bright. Too many shapes and too much happiness. I am a supervillain, and I can't create a proper lair with Sphax.

I'm patient, LazDude2012. If it takes a little longer than anticipated for a good quality texture pack (That isn't the 'so bright it's depressing' Sphax) for Technic, I can wait.

Also there have been, from what I hear, some issues involving skins on the Launcher. Upload your skin to your account on Minecraft.net, and it'll be on your character on the Launcher. It may not show up on the Launcher but it'll show up in-game.

..."Demo Minecrafters?" What? Didn't realized Minecraft had a demo mode. I was sure there was premium and non-premium (And illegal, but those are still non-premium as they can't use the pack), and that was it. Edit: Oh good Guthix, there is a demo mode. Still, I don't think they'll add the option since Technic isn't vanilla Minecraft and you're not demo-ing mods but the game itself (Not to mention the possibilities for abuse by pirates. Yarr!).

Some folks consider all magic black magic. Especially since you're supposedly using the remains of dead souls (Or something like that) to heal yourself. My thought bubble on this: Why should it matter? Good or evil, they're all tools. And I'm a supervillain anyways, why do I care if they're good or evil?

I call it doesn't matter anymore! Problem's fixed, laughs have been had, we can all move on with our lives now. :)
