Yeah, you kind of are. You are asking for something impossible, the Technic team can't just wave their magic mod-wand and upgrade all of the mods included in Tekkit Classic to newer versions so minecraft core can be updated.
-
Glowstone Illuminators are supposed to have an inverted mode, but I haven't figured it out.
-
If you think it sucks so bad, go play Tekkit Classic or Tekkit Lite instead of whining about it here. They exist, it's not like they were replaced and retired when the new Tekkit launched. Seriously, I do not get the mindset of people who whine about new things when what they want still exists.

The BC pump does not currently work with MFR liquids like Sewage and Sludge. Use a Bucket.
-
Uh, they are clearly adding new stuff to the 1.1.0 build, I now see Mekanism and Atomic Science modpacks in /mods. Those weren't in there a few days ago. Thanks for the tips, might need to update my 1.1.0 server.

Sorry if it seemed like I overreacted, but my interpretation of 'read the forums a little more' was 'lol noob, of course frames are coming rtfm!'. I feel like I am spending way more time on these forums than is healthy, so reading them a little more might cost me my job .
-
Seriously? Should I read everything that everyone has ever written on every part of the Technicpack boards? Thanks for the source of info about frames, but thumbs down for the condescending manner in which it was delivered. I really only care about what is relevant to Tekkit and spend my time in this forum, the bug report forum for Tekkit, or the Wiki.

Frames are about the only thing that have yet to be replaced, by any mod, anywhere. Solar/wind engines are IC2. Rednet wires replace color-coded and bundled wires.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that would still be the responsibility of LWJGL right? That Library should be setting up OpenGL for minecraft to use, and the mods in turn use what minecraft is using. I'll be the first to admit I don't know anything about OpenGL programming, but Apple documents development for OpenGL rather thoroughly: https://developer.apple.com/library/mac/#documentation/GraphicsImaging/Conceptual/OpenGL-MacProgGuide/opengl_intro/opengl_intro.html https://developer.apple.com/library/mac/#documentation/GraphicsImaging/Conceptual/OpenGL-MacProgGuide/UpdatinganApplicationtoSupportOpenGL3/UpdatinganApplicationtoSupportOpenGL3.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40001987-CH3-SW1

Unable to connect to my own Tekkit server from another computer
Dash16 replied to ScubaSteve's topic in Tekkit Discussion
Or you could use Network Utility in /Applications/Utilities and just use the Port Scan command. Scan the address you are trying to connect to, and see which ports are reporting open. You could even specify the range of ports to be the ones the minecraft server uses. -
Because it's deader than IC2, and more thoroughly replaced. Almost everything in RP2 has an equivalent in the new Tekkit, if you look hard enough.

Hokay. Modular Powersuits is nearly complete, filled either with stubs or completed pages. Going to wrap up MPS Addons, then I might go crazy a little. Seems a good day for it. [Edit: MPS Addons and Modular Powersuits is pretty much done, but extra information on them is always helpful. I also duped the MFR Blackstone page into a Whitestone page, but need images for pretty much everything. If no one gets to it by the time I get around to getting home, booting my Mac into Windows and capturing pics with Kobata's mod, I'll do it. I need to grab 128px images of everything in MPS Addons and Modular Powersuits anyway. I don't suppose there is a way to mass import a bunch of files into the wiki? Uploading one at a time is tedious, I already have to rename the images to the correct format to get them to link to the proper items. For that matter, is there any way to rename or delete a file you've uploaded? I've found slight typos in the file names and have had to upload a duplicate with the correct name, rather than fix the incorrect one on the wiki.]

Is it that time of day again? How many of these "I miss IC2" threads must we endure before we lose our minds? Message Board admins, PLEASE CREATE A STICKY THREAD detailing IC2's demise. I'll even write it up for you, in a neutral, logical, diplomatic way.

AE and MP's strange condition behaviour

I ran into issues crafting Redstone Energy cells with ME Crafting in 1.0.6. 1.1.0 seems to have resolved that issue. -

Probably not an issue with the Macs configuration, suspect firewall settings on the PC. Firewalls are designed to block port access from the outside. -
Same here, fixed by 1.1.0.

The wiki language is strange at first, but begins to make sense. I've never contributed to any wiki before, but have a little experience with HTML and CSS. That helps with the markup. I suggest reading the help over at the Media Wiki (http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki) for more information.
-
That would be helpful, both to others using the wiki and to those writing it. I say go for it. To be honest, a lot of the content on the Technic Wiki is a copy/paste from somewhere else, edited and formatted slightly so it fits better. Why reinvent the wheel?
-
I had an issue like this with my Liquid Transposer after updating to 1.1.0 that required breaking the block and placing it again.
-
Bugged. Working better in 1.1.0, I hear. I wouldn't know, I love Tesseracts .
-
Likely because he is generating 10s (if not 100s) of thousands of materials, and it is far cheaper to build a Storage Bus and DSU than it is to build 64k ME Storage modules.

Up and running, now what do I do with all this cobblestone?
Dash16 replied to dirtyword's topic in Tekkit Discussion
Not necessarily better, but I've had some difficulty getting minium stone recipes to work in ME Crafting. Haven't tried the latest version, some ME Crafting seems to be working better (redstone energy cell) so I can check it out again. ME is a bit more complex, cyclic assembler might be easier for someone familiar with RP2 project tables or BC auto crafting tables. -
Well, I've checked with 3 different Macs, 2 generations of nVidia graphics and one ATI, and OpenGL seems stuck at 2.1 on all of them. It looks like the limitation lies with LWJGL not supporting anything above OpenGL 2.1. I've confirmed that on the same Mac hardware running Windows 7 that OpenGL is 3.2 in Minecraft, so I suppose I'll be using BootCamp when I need to do image captures with this mod. Works like a charm BTW, great job Kobata. Now if I could only figure out how to get minecraft to use OpenGL 3.2 in Mac OS...
-
Did you update your client? You have to click the gear on the modpack, manually select a build, then choose 1.1.0.

Yea I'd double Iron, Tin and any other ore I have in large quantities then use the Rich Slag to triple my less common ores, Gold especially.
