If forge can't cover what you want to do, then yes. Yes it will break compatibility with other mods. Though you can use alternate methods to do it. I haven't touched source since 1.2.5 but you could possibly overwrite all the block definitions with new ones derived from the original but with the gravel/sand falling code added in. Or maybe an event listener for block updates and test/react accordingly.

This has nothing to do with Tekkit what so ever.

It could be done with java and forge, but it would be MUCH more complex and round about. You'd either have hundreds of function call blocks, or a small amount with hundreds of mutator selections. Not sure how reflection would work. Maybe terasology? It's java and their modding uses gradle so deploying mods would be easier.

So I'm going to reiterate my interest in minetest. Why? Because the modding API uses LUA, and I bet it would be a weekend project to convert Blockly to output LUA in the correct format. Wouldn't even have to know LUA to mod at that point. Just drag&drop blocks, make the correct connections, and enjoy new content.

So, madogdan, I have a question. If you're disgusted with the moderation of this forum then why are you here? Honest question. In the years I've been a mod here I've seen many people join with no other obvious purpose than to butt heads with moderators. Are you hoping that by taking up "the good fight" you'll cause a sudden change in the community you know little about, and gain rewards from it? Expecting the owner to finally take notice and act like you believe they should. Cleaning away the rotten filth and rewarding you and others the vacant moderation positions as a token of their gratitude. Or is this an attempt to compensate for perceived deficiencies in your real life? Take up what you see as an easy fight against the forces of oppression online as a proxy to your losing battle against unjustly oppressive parents/guardians/teachers/bosses in the real world. Use the easy wins against us criminally incompetent (and probably heavily brain damaged) moderators as a salve to sooth your bruised ego. Oh, and somewhat unrelated. Proper paragraph punctuation is not to write a single run on sentence with comas where sentence breaks should go. Like seating family at a table, the capital letter and period/exclamation point/question mark go at the ends to keep their little words in order. This way a casual observer doesn't mistake what little words belong to what sentence, and unruly words don't disrupt other sentences.

Give some basic info and people may take a look. Give some more info and they may even consider it.

Then go do it better. Seriously, the launcher is open source, the website is simple, and there are many hosting providers that are free to start with. So there is no reason for you to not prove the technic team incompetent fools by doing it better. Unless, of course, you're not giving a fair assessment of the situation...

Impossible. The underlying code and method of distribution are vastly different. No console can play forge modded minecraft, which is what tekkit relies on.
