Skuli Posted August 11, 2014 Author Posted August 11, 2014 I'll admit I haven't played Hexxit for quite a while, but has village generation been turned off for this version? Or am I just not remembering well enough? That'll make getting the cutlass a right pain without cheating... I haven't had any problems finding villages. Normal Minecraft NPC villages, right?
Quantekk Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Managed to get 2.0.1 working on Linux, had a few problems with issues such as the "OffLawn" with different configuration files (there were more like this, just had the change the ID's back) Just now going through everything, got some staff testing and playing it looks good so far.
Melfice Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 I haven't had any problems finding villages. Normal Minecraft NPC villages, right? Correct. Hmm... guess I haven't been lucky then. I'll have another look around.

EE3 has similar problems, it creates the config with the wrong case under Windows because Windows doesn't care, and then 7zip propogates wrong case to client. I need to do my initial setup on linux, but I get lazy.
Melfice Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Yeah, I was just not lucky. Shows me to not look more before complaining. Oh well!
Kartika Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 (edited) The server is not working. When i try to connect to the server, the server console says end of stream and the client shows a screen with messages that Forge Mod Loader has found ID mismatches. from mod BetterDungeons. The ID's are in the 8250 to 8280 range. Binus, in case you didnt find a solution for your problem yet: For me, copying the "Chocolate" folder from the server folder into your userappdata.technicmodpackshexxit did it Edit: Crafting Grout from Tinker's Construct for building the smeltery is not possible. It appears in the crafting bench, but when wanting to produce it, it immediately disappears while materials are kept. ThePagan Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Well this is exciting. I know what my next day off is going to consist of

dddash Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Ok, so here is my list of bugs: When MapWriter is put into a texture size of 4096, the map turns completely white and stays that way, no matter what texture size you change to after that. (MapWriter) All spawners state they are from minecraft, even the ones that are not. (NEI if not WAILA) The scarecrow spawner (ID:52:3) is named "extrabiomes.scarecrow" (ExtraBiomesXL) The Horse spawner (ID:52:100) is named "EntityHorse" (ExtraBiomesXL) The Locked Chest (ID:95) is missing a texture in NEI, the player inventory, and when placed;they seem to give of a glow too, similiar to glowstone. (Minecraft) The icon on the windows 8 bar shows a crafting table, and the title of the window states "Minecraft 1.6.4" (FML) Cocoa (ID:127) Only faces east when placed. (Minecraft) In NEI/Inventory all Mana Regeneration potions state they are from "Minecraft" (NEI if not WAILA) In NEI/Inventory all spawn eggs state they are from "Minecraft" (This includes Chocobo Eggs) (NEI if not WAILA) All Spectral Mobs names are "entity.mod_harkenscythe.[Mob Name].name" (HarkenScythe Mod) The monolith spawn egg is named "entity.dimdoors.Monolith.name" (Dimensional Doors Mod) Items #751,#775,#793 and #798 are named "tile.arsmagica2:[item Name].name" and #751 has no texture (Ars Magica 2 Mod) ExtraBiomesXL still contains the old fir logs, in which some of them are named by tile. (ExtraBiomesXL Mod) Item #996 is named "tile.quicksand.name" but is supposed to be named "Quicksand". It is also states it is from "Minecraft" (ExtraBiomesXL Mod) Rift (ID:1113) and Transient Door (ID:1115) Do not have textures in the inventory or in hand (Dimensional Doors Mod) All Natura doors are named as above "entity.door.[material].name" (Natura) Even though glowshroom blocks cannot be obtained in survival, their names in NEI are "tile.Glowshroom.name" and they do not give the Nausea effect. (Natura) Item #1323:6 is named incorrectly, (block.slime.soil.dirt.name) (Tinkers Construct) Natura has a block with the ID of 1123 with the name of "tile.null.name" (Natura) Item #1311 is a frying pan when placed, but when in the inventory, it is missing a texture. (Tinkers Construct Mod) When stained glass (ID:1330) from the tinkers contrust mod is placed against an Ethereal Illusion Block (ID:752:1) there are lighting glitches in between the two blocks (Ars Magica 2 Mod) Spawners #1351:5 - 15 Are named incorrectly (Twilight Forest Mod) Items #1371:8 - 15 Are named incorrectly (Twilight Forest Mod) Items #2326,#2336, and #2376 are named incorrectly (The SecretRooms Mod, qCraft) The Soul Light (ID:2655) does not have a texture for when it is in the inventory. (HarkenScythe) Scent (ID:2627) does not have a texture for when it is in the inventory (Necromancy) Flowing Blood (ID:2625) has a texture of water (ID:8-9) when in the inventory. (Necromancy) Item #2844 is named incorrectly. (Zelda Sword Skills) The Altar Building Block (ID:2622) has no texture when in the inventory or on ground (Necromancy) The Skull (ID:2657) has no texture when in the inventory; When placed on the ground while facing every direction except east, it tends to go into its wall state (Like when a skull is placed on a wall) (HarkenScythe) CivicBlock4 (ID:3754) is missing a texture in the inventory and on the ground and when placed, crashed the game. (Ancient Warfare) This is what I have so far, my game crashed after this point and the world was corrupted. I may look into more problems later and report back.
Konda379 Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 (edited) Skuli will like that. EDIT: One request concerning the mods: pls find an alternative to that mapwriter. In it's 1.6.x - version it looks awfully ugly... Edited August 12, 2014 by Konda379

(MapWriter) I can confirm this, it would only get fixed after closing the game and start again I don't like how the map turns black after a session, lands you already explored stays black on the map when logging in again

Edited August 12, 2014 by dddash
Melfice Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 You can change the layering of the map by pressing "u" so the entire explored map becomes visible. Munaus 1
dddash Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Yeah, I was just stating that the default map adds dimensions, which for some people is the ideal thing.
Targren Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Would you prefer bugs and crash reports be reported in this thread, or on the Hexxit tracker? (probably should have asked this before posting this one.
Moderators Munaus Posted August 13, 2014 Moderators Posted August 13, 2014 Skuli wants them here, but it doesn't hurt if you posted on the Tracker
Targren Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Copied/pasted from tracker. (Also if you figure this one out, please share. I've had the same problem in ABT) Hexxit 2.0.1 beta - Type of Bug: In-Game Bug- Reproduction rate: 10/10- Steps to reproduce: Open Hexxit (Latest) Clicked Singleplayer Opened savegame - Expected result: Game loads- Observed result: Minecraft crashes and the launcher reappears- Logs: Original Crash: http://paste.ubuntu.com/8038826/ On Load: http://paste.ubuntu.com/8038854/
Marr Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 I've gotten the same exact crash log as you Targren. Do you remember what you were doing when it first crashed? I've been able to reproduce the exact same log every time by traveling too fast through chunks, usually by means of flying.
AzureDragonfly Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 I am new to reporting bugs about games so bear with me as I learn the lingo and best methods for reporting them for Hexxit. Thanks! When my mouse hovers over a Keese, the name in the top center information area is "entity.zeldaswordskills.keese.name". The information with the mob picture on the top left has "Keese" for the name. When I am killed by the little bugger, the text in the chat section(?) is "AzureDragonfly was slain by entity.zeldaswordskills.keese.name". Hope the info helps!
Targren Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 I've gotten the same exact crash log as you Targren. Do you remember what you were doing when it first crashed? I've been able to reproduce the exact same log every time by traveling too fast through chunks, usually by means of flying. I was literally just walking. I had just finished clearing out a small Ancient Warfare tower (looked like a watchtower deal) and took it over as my base, and was heading out to look for materials to build a TC smeltery. I walked away, maybe 3 or 4 chunks distant, and it just suddenly crashed. No flying or anything else fancy, just me and my iron sword, hopping over a water block. Had to move my player back to the tower via MCEdit in order to even load the game again. I suspect it has something to do with something in the worldgen
