LazDude2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 What do you mean pirating? You can up and buy the Mac OS. It's like, what, 30 USD? That's cheap. Quote
SamuelDM Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 What do you mean pirating? You can up and buy the Mac OS. It's like, what, 30 USD? That's cheap. Right, and that'll work on a windows machine? Yet I can use a Mac machine and run windows. Beauty of both OS's legally. No fuss or trouble. Quote
LazDude2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Again, yes. MacOS, with *minimal* effort, will install and run on 95% of PCs. Quote
Made_You_Look Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Is this turning into a mac vs pc fight? Keep it on topic guys. Quote
SamuelDM Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 download link please? Look through the pages! just keep going pack, You'll see a technic+ link and the other, main one. Quote
Made_You_Look Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 download link please? There's a pre-release a few pages back, just look around. Quote
Kira_Law Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 For all the people who can't find the link or don't understand how to install it, is here the solution. I've made for the three saga continues packs (light high dark) a tekkit support. All original from this thread. http://www.mediafire.com/?7diwc6iuaabxj9d Thank you for this. Quote
FTWBurn Posted September 12, 2012 Author Posted September 12, 2012 Updated OP with a download of the same Pre-release I linked few days ago and I updated the name of the thread. That should be enough to people stop asking where the download is. Quote

DoctorCube Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Is anyone else having an issue with railcraft tracks showing up as the no-graphic pink square or am I doing something wrong? Quote
JetStorm Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 if you are talking about when in your hand, its an issue with optifine and we just talked about it within the last 2 pages. Quote
DoctorCube Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 if you are talking about when in your hand, its an issue with optifine and we just talked about it within the last 2 pages. Nope as an actual placed block. Quote
Korialstrasz Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 sound like missing textures in your pack. try the default one. If its still pink well i have no clue whats wrong then Quote
TJP12409 Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Latest technic version. Block Id? Most of them when they're in my hand. Version 6 of java. No error messages. I opened up the modpack.jar using an unarchiver. I then dragged the file from my desktop into the folder and it asked me if I wanted to cancel or replace, I chose replace. I then compressed the modpack folder back down into a modpack.zip, then changed it from a .zip to a .jar by changed it's name. I've looked for programs similar to 7-zip for mac but haven't found any that work in the same way. I'll keep looking though. With the whole .jar replacement thing (I do NOT know if this applies to both Macs and PCs but I do know it works with my macbook), even if you just leave the file as a folder (that is NOT re-zipping the folder) and rename it with a .jar extension, the computer stil recognizes it as a .jar and can access the files properly. When I was first getting into the modding scene, this was how I would put stuff in the minecraft.jar file and it would work. I dont know if .zip'ing the file and changing it to a .jar affects how it reads the stuff, but thats my theory as to why it might not be working. Quote
Brakmek Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 I want this to be completely finished so baaad! Quote
samken600 Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Looks epic. Can't wait for update :D Quote
DoctorCube Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 From the best that I can tell the Railcraft track textures are borked in Tekkit. This texture pack works fine for Technic, but tracks appear as purple boxes in Tekkit. It looks like Tekkit isn't using the tracks.png file in the texture pack. Quote
Smurfkiller9000 Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 The purple boxes thing is to do with optifine, lots of people have it but dont know what its from. This might help. http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/optifine-held-mod-blocks-render-issue.17825/ Quote
Korialstrasz Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 not in this case i think. technic and tekkit use diffrent versions of railcraft. it is possible that the place/file where the railcraft textures should be are different. Quote
DoctorCube Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I've just deleted the railcraft folder for now. The texture mishmash isn't causing many OCD ticks yet so all good til these guys look into it. Quote
JohnScarlet Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 The version of railcraft which tekkit uses isn't the same version this texture pack supports. The tekkit railcraft uses a png file with both rails and machines on the same file, while this texture pack provides a separate file for the tracks called tracks.png. Tekkit-railcraft calls out its rail textures from the railcraft.png, and since the rails aren't there in this texturepack it comes up with purple squares. Some of the early doku-technic texture packs posted on this thread (not by FTWBurn) have the tekkit compatible version for railcraft, although they weren't as complete as the OP's version since some of their items were still vanilla. This problem has nothing to do with the Optifine fix, as that fixes a problem with held items looking buggy. If you get purple squares it means that the texture pack is screwing something up and doesn't support a mod or the version of a mod being used. As an aside; To the mac users having trouble with your jar files. To get a jar file back to how it was before you decompressed it you need to select all the files inside the folder and then compress that. If you compress a folder all you get is a compressed folder. Terminal is a very effective and powerful tool, but this kind of thing is way beneath its realm of usefulness. Its actually easier to forgo using terminal for this, and you don't run the risk of sending your files to a random location if you mess up. Quote
