  1. Check you don't have 32bit java as the launcher could be detecting and running off of that
  2. You would need to use Solder instead of a single zip https://github.com/TechnicPack/TechnicSolder#what-is-solder
  3. Java is being blocked by your firewall, if you have windows firewall simply run as admin should solve the issue
  4. Drop your RAM to 2 or 3 Gb, allocating more can cause lag as java attempts to perform garbage collection Beyond that we can't suggest anything without more info, logs for example
  5. Ensure you have 64 bit java NOT 32 bit, then click the cog in the top right of the launcher and you will have an option to allocate ram, change this to 2 or 3 Gb and all packs will be allocated that amount of RAM
  6. The log output is controlled by the mods, if they don't have config options for their logs then there is nothing you can do
  7. Any host that supports cURL in PHP should be capable but they will likely frown on being used as a download server
  8. Not a fix for this issue (still looking in to) but you should delete the coremods folder and put some configs in, having the client generate the configs on first launch should only be done by 1 person, YOU. Otherwise there can be inconsistencies. EDIT: It's a launcher bug, or it appears to be, as the pack has unpacked perfectly EDIT2: Raised an issue on the bug tracker regarding this http://forums.technicpack.net/tracker/issue-344-false-error-launcher-reports-failure-to-unpack-but-in-fact-succeeded/
  9. 1) Don't use dropbox, if your public links generate too much traffic they will be shutdown 2) Post an error log, a direct link to your pack and a link to the platform address of your pack. With these we can get some idea why it's failing EDIT: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>
  10. Go to the %APPDATA%.technicmodpacks directory and delete hexxit If you want to remove it from the launcher, you can't
  11. Minecraft.net was going up and down yesterday, retry downloading the pack every so often and eventually you will get through if this persists post on to the bug tracker with a complete error log
  12. Reset the pack and try again, and give us error logs inside of code tags
  13. How about you do it yourself, it's not hard and it gives you something to do
  14. Humour suggests that this would be funny, it's not, it's not even blatant sarcasm that we could find vaguely funny
  15. It's the job of the modpack creator to ensure that their pack works including the jar, if they want to add jar mods to their pack then it's up to them to check it's either natively force compatible or to merge it into forge
  16. The launcher source code is open source so you are welcome to take a crack at it, right now you are coming across as "the ideas guy" and nobody likes that guy nor should you expect anyone to get on board with your project if you don't do any of the work
  17. I've hosted on my dedicated (not bought hosting, personally hosted) every kind of server and NONE of the servers I downloaded from this site with the exception of Classic have native support for bukkit plugins. Now unless one of the devs cares to step in here and tell me they secretly rolled MCPC+ in to every server then I see no evidence to the contrary.
  18. Try searching the Servers part of the forums
  19. Dropbox is a VERY poor choice for hosting, if your direct links are overused dropbox disables them, thereby preventing your pack from being downloaded Try https://one.ubuntu.com/services/free/
  20. Go in to the morph config file and search for insta, turn that off and it won't force you to morph whenever you get a new morph (you will need to repeat this whenever you update)
  21. AotBT does not natively support Bukkit like Tekkit Classic does, you will need to install MCPC+ to add plugins
  22. More is not necessarily better with RAM, 2 to 3 Gb is the recommended, if you are still suffering lag at that then RAM is most likely not the issue
  23. Also, this is Tekkit, if you are talking 1.2.5 you want Tekkit Classic
  24. Perhaps your minecraft can not save those files, run as admin solves a lot of issues And I just checked FB "technic help please my sound is not workin on attack of the b team all i hear is the wind help please" < This was posted on 2 areas and there was a technic respond on one Now lets use some COMMON SENSE Your posts were 22 hours ago (So my earlier point stands, didn't even wait a day) The comment they respond to was 7 hours ago, their response was 7 hours ago And who on the team has access to the FB account anyway, I highly doubt that the entire staff does (Admins maybe, but not the mods) and a lot of help comes from the users, so again, show some patience I've known vanilla sounds to not work for a few launches then they just suddenly start, could be any number of reasons
