  1. You didn't make note of you deleting the level.dat file from the world save before recreating the world with the exact same name
  2. The reason I am using a numerical value is to disable the grinder from being active (thus preventing some lag in my world due to the amount of machines running at the same time...its around a few hundred, not including pipes) until a threshold of mobs is hit. The other goal was to minimize the size of the farms as much as possible. I considered using the chronotyper but it isn't what I wanted to accomplish. The other method was to use the counter from project red but it does not give a redstone signal for values that are between the min and max and do not work as was intended here. Another reason I want to do this is for the villager breeding system. Disabling it once 50 (or whatever number) villagers are in a chamber (regardless of growth) but this project was post-poned until an expanded mob counter system could be done without too much of a hassle.
  3. Sneaking? Aim level? Edit: Replicated described set-up in a creative world, it works as expected. Autonomous Activator Settings - Right click - Not sneaking - First Slot only - Aim Level (not high or low) - Redstone control disabled - Configuration: Output on bottom only, all other ports closed
  4. Yellow symbols?
  5. That fix does indeed work, the other option is to set it to 0 (as it'll attempt to overwrite "Air" which just isn't allowed). Also, MCEdit is fairly straightforward on using it. Spending an hour or so playing with the program should give you an understanding of navigation and block selection. Knowing these two things, how to press the delete key, and using CTRL+G to jump-to a location, makes it all the easier to find a specific block to remove.
  6. Thanks! It worked. Seems like an overly complicated method of making the mossy variant, but whatever Chisel wants I guess.
  7. Its for automation purposes. I know of a few odd ways I could count entites (using a tripwire hook and the project red counter, while feeding the mobs only once through the counting system, but this method is entirely complex and can be more of a problem than not with the means I want) Specifically, I created an automatic farm design, however the issue is there can only be up to 15 of the farm mob (chicken, cow, pig, sheep) in the pen at a given time due to the limitation of the Mob Counter. While this isn't necessarily a bad thing, since it will work, I would prefer to be able to keep more than 15 of any one of them in their pen to increase breeding rates and thus increase farm rates.
  8. I have activators set-up presently to harvest oreberries without issue of them spitting out the items. So it not storing grabbed items isn't the case.
  9. This may be true but the cryogenic chamber from galacticraft mars should work in all dimensions.
  10. Left or right click? Random item use? First slot only? Inventory full of other items?
  11. The Unifier from MFR may be able to assist with that, otherwise no there isn't any known way to make it work.
  12. Post issues on the tracker following guidelines. Links available in my signature below. Quick fix: running out of memory, increase max via launcher.
  13. If you used MCEdit to delete the chunks, they won't be there after you followed the other steps. The other steps are important as without doing those steps, it would simply regenerate them over and over again because it is using the same seed and generator method. Following my steps correctly would remove those chunks, and generate the correct ones when the world is regenerated properly.
  14. Almost seems like your world is now being generated as a super-flat world in the "redstone ready" preset. How to fix this? Use MCEdit to delete those chunks, then delete the level.dat file from the world save, and re-create the world through normal minecraft means using the exact same world name and specify the old seed used. It'll pick up the old info and keep those chunks (hence why you need to delete the other ones through a map editor)
  15. Both Lumpous and yourself suggested to use the BTeam.jar with no mention of the launch.bat/sh file being used in the proper fashion, hence my posts.
  16. Without seeing the entire log I wouldn't be able to explain that line, because as it is, its just a warning message and nothing critical. If you wanted me to look into why that message is showing up though then post on the tracker as this isn't the place to discuss it unless you have only ever had this issue on 1.0.10b and can prove it is an issue with 1.0.10b (which is the hard part). Tracker link (and its guidelines) are available in my signature below.
  17. Again, running the jar file directly is not intended to be the correct way to run the server and can cause issues.
  18. The best of anything when it comes to tinkers' construct depends on your preference and exactly what it is you're attempting to do. Best for general mining? Hammer in most cases, pick in others, have high durability, good speed, maybe with silky so a tool later on with fortune can mine ore blocks like diamond, coal, etc Best for netherrack mining? Hammer with high durability (manyullyn) and high speed with 1 repair (since you wont be using it too much if its only for netherrack) Best for nether brick farming via netherrack? Same as above, but with the auto-smelt ability on the hammer as well Best for attacking _____? Cleaver with ____ enchantment that deals more damage toward that mob type (smite for undead, athropods for spiders, etc) as this will be dealing more damage than the sharpness version could Best for attacking players? Rapier with high damage output (sharpness) That list is by no means the best of the best, and by no means the "generalized" best. Whatever someone considers as best, can be considered bad by someone else, there is just no real answer to this question as again, it boils down to what you prefer and what your exact goal to achieve is.
  19. Best way to combat witchery? Witchery.
  20. gazpa, my comment about testing them in 1.0.9c has been continued throughout the version changes (1.0.10a, 1.0.10b...) still getting issues with crashes, it not behaving correctly, etc.
  21. Squids still spawn for me under normal conditions as long as my mob cap hasn't been hit. If you need to, go over an ocean biome, enter "/cofh killall" and "/cofh killall squid" to make sure the mob cap isnt being hit and that there isnt a squid cap being hit either, then wait a bit to see if they spawn. Note you need to be 20 blocks away from a potential spawn location for them to spawn (like any other mob)
  22. Using the light version of optifine is actually inappropriate. the light version was not designed to work with forge at all. There is only two versions of Optifine that work appropriately with the version of forge used. Those being HD D1 and HD U D1.
  23. Using the jar files directly is actually not correct. You should be using the "launch.bat" or "launch.sh" depending on windows/mac systems.
  24. The most effective way to find them is how efficiently can you travel? Flying in the overworld can be great to locate them, however if you know you have no biomes appropriate within range that would have them, using nether travel is the next best option but requires obsidian to do so. Travel 128 blocks in the nether, place a portal down, go through it, you're 1024 blocks away from your other portal now and should have some new areas to explore. Go further in the nether if necessary. Repeat until found.
  25. This is a known infinite power bug that should be avoided as it can cause chunk loss.
