  1. Eeee.. a hoe? It's not the tekkit way. Did some tests with spatial storage and it.... is amazing. Teleported a grass block... Then a vanilla spawner... Hmm.. What's next?
  2. You can use dimensions. They are basically different infinite worlds. You can achieve this with Mystcraft.
  3. Did you know strongboxes have a really long or don't have a despawn time at all? You can be killed and return in-game weeks later to retrieve them even in a force loaded chunk. They are also lava and cryo-proof. I've found out from Curunir >here and had an unpleasant event with one of them recently. Dropped in the water 40 blocks down it was just sitting there for about an in-game week in a quarry-loaded chunk.
  4. Did some testing with the config changed. One pump can be not enough. 10 pumps will suck out all life from a quarry pit and the splash sounds they are making... Tested with 10 pumps powered by one tesseract and 4 fluid void blocks connected with fluiducts. The pumps will drain all water but not oil. I needed additional pumps for the oil. Edit: Will try to dry out a little ocean.
  5. Look >here
  6. Landmarks like a quarry setup.
  7. Yeah. It's just a mode switch.
  8. What are building? I use the Filler for any basic gravelling. I use the build in modes in the filler for box, fill etc. The Builder recipe is missing in 1.2.9e too.
  9. Yeah. DDoors is in chaos right now. Got some world thread and crafted a rift remover to get it out of my sight. That volcano surely behaves like an Enderman teleporting. And the stolen goods.. It all fits now. You're a genius.
  10. I've barely touched Mystcraft. Done some magic gold ore ages and poured a sea of quarries over it and that's it. I engage you to do a tutorial (or two). That one was painful, the clicking over the imgur and the text editor, browsers tabs, graphic editor was vary exhausting (I'm a father of a 4 year old energy volcano travelling at transwarp speed over my house - I need sleep). I'm going to do some tutorial but surely not this week.
  11. Hi guys. Finally have some time for a short tutorial for the newbies. Have you wanted to travel really quick to your oil field desert? Maybe you've been in a sticky situation underground and needed a quick getaway? You are sick of the pigment coming out of your portal? Never fear, Mystcraft Link Books are here. You can get away fast to your base, return from the Nether or setup a teleporting outpost somewhere in the quarry site and the other in your home. Here's a quick tutorial for the Link Books with Mystcraft. I will not discuss the basics of NEI here. You will need to find some recipes yourself. --------------------------- Chapter One: Standard Link Book (teleport from other dimensions). 1. You will need an ink mixer, oh here's one (the wood planks colour is not important): 2. We need to place it somewhere... 3. How about right clicking it... Yes, you will need an ink vial and some paper, go get it, kill some squids and grow some sugar cane / put some wood in the pulverizer, craft some ink vials. 4. Put the ink vial and paper in the left slots or shift click to auto fit them. (Oh, it turned black and you've got an empty vial and something in the right side.) 5. In the bottom right slot is the linking panel. Get it from there. (What do you do with it?) 6. You can craft a Link Book. You need some leather and a crafting table. (A grey book... Pffff...) 7. It is unlinked. You need to link it first do a destination (to a spot). Grab it and put it in your hand. 8. Right click with it in the air (use it). You will see: (What the hell is this...?) This is the the target for this book. Overworld (the target dimension) because you've linked it here to this very spot where are you standing now (target coordinates). 9. Press E or Esc to exit... Yeah. It's green now (it is linked). Can you test it? No. This is a standard Link Book with teleporting capabilities to a different dimension. This won't teleport you from overworld to overworld. Only from other dimensions to get back. Yes, you can test it in the Nether. 10. Go to a different dimension. 11. Right click with it in your hand. 12. Click the blue-ish area on the right side. Yes, it looks better now. In the overworld it was greyed out or something. (What in heavens is this...? What's that sound...?) And you are in the spot again. Just fine and everything. But wait.... . . . . . . . . . . . . (Where's the book?!? It's gone. Where is it?) Right where you left it. Mystcraft teleports you, not the book. You've got teleported. The book didn't. It never does. It's there where you left it. (Wait a minute... It has health - hearts?) Mystcraft book when left on the ground (it's an entity) has its health and can be 'killed'. Beware when leaving a book down it can get damaged and go.. puff. To pick it up right click on it on the ground (don't kick it to the lava) and drag it from the left side of the book GUI to your inventory (when grabbed the books GUI will close and show inventory). If you want to avoid the book dropping craft a Bookstand.... ....and put it down in the source location... ...then put the book on it (right click) And there you go. You made it to the end of chapter one. Now you have a working one way teleporter from other dimensions. You can setup a reverse path to it. Link the book in the Nether and carry it home and place on a Bookstand (no more pigmen). This one can be stationary (Bookstand) or portable when in other dimensions (carry the book by your side) but it will be dropped when you use it without a Bookstand. Warning: Linking books are very fragile, even on a Bookstand. One direct hit of a Ghast fireball and you can be stranded here for ever. TL;DR 1. Craft ink mixer 2. Fill with ink and paper 3. Craft Link Panel 4. Craft Link Book with leather 5. Link it (right click), goes green 6. Go to other dimension 7. Use book 8. Magic. Teleported me home. 9. Where's the book? 10. I'll put it on a Bookstand next time. --------------------------- Chapter Two: Link Book with intra-linking (teleport from anywhere). This one tells you how to get an Intra linking effect on the book. 1. Do everything from chapter one from points 1 to 4. Get some pulverized gold (or some ender pearls). One stack should be enough if you're lucky (gold - 64, pearls - 16). I used gold. This will bring you to 2. Throw some pulverized gold to the dark circle (to the ink) Now the circle starts to change colours. Seen green. This is an additional positive effect on the produced linking panel. Seen red. This is an negative effect. The duration of the colours is the chance you will get an effect. It all is about chances. I've been lucky today. I've got my resulting panel the second time (with the effect I wanted). 3. Pull it out of the right bottom slot and hover over it. You want Intra Linking. Trust me. Don't wish anything more. If you stumble upon the Disarm effect be very careful as it will strip you from your inventory when teleporting with a book made of that panel. I'm not responsible for playing with the negative effects in books. I, personally, had my Disarm panel thrown in the trash. The complete list with the effects for the curious is here. 4. Go and do everything from points 6 to 9 from chapter one. Now you have a linked book with Intra Linking effect that can teleport you from anywhere (any dimension) to anywhere (any dimension) and you can teleport inside one dimension from one spot to another (and back with a second Intra Linking Link Book). 5. Go do something with this new knowledge. Warning: Linking books are very fragile, even on a Bookstand. One direct hit of a Ghast fireball and you can be stranded here for ever. If you link a book to a spot and then build a mountain in this area.... I don't know what will happen. Test it yourself...in creative obviously. You're at the end of chapter two. You've made it. TL;DR 1. Craft ink mixer 2. Fill with ink and paper 3. Add some gold 4. Craft Link Panel with Intra Linking 5. Craft Link Book with leather 6. Link it (right click), goes green 7. Go to wherever you go 8. Use book 9. Magic. Teleported me home. 10. Where's the book? 11. I left it on a book stand this time. -------------------------------------- Have fun. Don't kill yourself If you see anything wrong in my starters guide or have some additional info leave me a PM or post it here.
  12. Invar armor... Almost no upgrade from vanilla. Remember that the Powersuit is a modular armor. You can craft it easily (it's cheap) and put just some simple addons (big jump, some speed gain) and you'll be half Iron Man. Edit: You can also do something with the looks of the MPS armor to be.. regular Steve (transparent suit).
  13. Don't turn on the magnet module in your Powersuit when playing around with auto ore smelting setups and the output items. Vibration Catalyst used on Yellorite Ore is not a good idea either. Been killed by yellowcake and its poisonous radiation. Uranium is not healthy for you also. Tried to get rid of it but the magnet module kept it in my inventory.. Too long... Radiation shield will not help you in this case.
  14. Don't craft unstable ingots in a Powersuit. If you'll be to slow there's no armor keeping you from the blast. The Extra Utilities unstable ingots when left to blow up override armor. Try crafting them with >nuggets.
  15. This is not a good place for this kind of posts. Read the details >here.
  16. I can think of two ways: 1. Teleport grass block with Qcraft (don't know if it will still be grass or dirt) 2. Teleport grass block with AE (same as above).
  17. Need some tutorial on rednet controller basics..
  18. Did you know you can right click the Rain Muffler to silence rain everywhere? Right click again to remove the magical wool from your ears.
  19. I'm not good at this. Read the basics here and >here. You need to integrate Cauldron to you server. This is beyond my knowledge. I've got it integrated by my host. You can test it locally if you want. There's no easy solution like downloading some stuff and running it. The guide on Cauldron setup gives me the chills. Edit: You will find more answers here, also >this topic looks promising.
  20. I had a tekkit jar 1.2.9e version prepared by my host with the plugin front-end integrated, never used it as I needed an ordinary tekkit server. I can send you this version. I have the copy here. Edit: After some searching I found out you should have some option to install craftbukkit or a bukkit server version. I have been around with two hosts and both have the option to install bukkit versions with plugins.
  21. I was waiting for someone to finely post the drill solution. It's the best. Every ore out of nothing. Not ruining the landscape. Here are the tips for the foci colours to have infinite supply of yellorium powering the reactor. Yellow is for yellorite.
  22. Hi guys. I have a yellorium reactor with a redstone port. I need it redstone controlled. I need it controlled (on/off) depending on the state of 2-3 resonant energy cells (a buffer). When they are empty I want the reactor to start and when they are full - to stop. For now I've just connected a vanilla comparator to one cell and put a ProjectRed NOT gate to the redstone port. When the cells drops below 13MRF it starts the reactor an if it goes above this value it stops it again. For now the change is sudden, the reactor just blinks with power before it gets hot enough and already stopping. I need a buffer. In therms of electronic logic gates I need a tekkit equivalent of a Schmitt trigger with hysteresis to activate the reactor when the signal from the cells is low and keep the signal going to the moment the cells (the last one) are full. Are there any electronic fans here, any engineers maybe? I think the ProjectRed gates can help here but the positive loopback part with the delay is out of my capabilities. Can somebody help me with this? Thinking about some clock with a counter but this needs not to be activated time-dependant but signal (from the full cell) dependant. The vanilla comparator gives of redstone signal when placed by the cell with the power level depending on the energy cell fulfilment.
  23. I personally like moths.. Not for their looks. For their moon based navigating system, flying around my lamp like crazy in the evening. Where's my flyswatter...
  24. Did you know that the Division Sigil activation ritual sacrifice must be made with an vanilla sword? No other modded tools should work in that case. Got info about Power Tool from MPS working here so that looks like only Redstone Asenal tools are no go. Keep in mind the resulting cursed earth properties.
  25. Don't overheat your Powersuit. If you finally have the parts for the jetpack and other handy add-ons to your newly created suit don't leave home for a test ride without some kind of cooling. Water tank and/or Cooling System is a must, if you are flying over a desert or hovering in the nether disable the kinetic generator (I hear solar generator can also heat you up) . I luckily had fallen to a lake while jetpacking and it got the fire extinguished. If you need more info on overheating - ask Curunir, he's an expert in that matter
