It's how many of us Brits view the heartland states of 'Murica. God and McCarthyism, the dream team of American politics.

We actually prefer the spelling Merica or Emerica as this Google images search demonstrates.

The reason so many of us can't tell the satire websites from the real ones is that we work or live in big cities, and have very very similar things thrown in our faces every day.

They are entirely aware. The general viewer (yourself incuded) believes otherwise. That's the beauty of it.

It's so spurious, yet utterly convincing.

Ah, just googled it, I love how convincing it is, yet now feel somewhat stupid for posting the op :/

it's kinda depressing how many people in this thread thought that christwire was a serious site, and not obvious satire.

I was hoping it was satirical and not factual, but I have experienced the real people who do this stuff and that seemed pretty serious. Maybe I should just take all of these as jokes from now on.

hoho

Be careful with what you wish for. it's well known that easiest way to become an atheist is to actually read the Bible and thinking along while doing so.

It should be encouraged to think about the Bible in critical fashion. It helps prevent people making blind assumptions about what the Bible says.

Yeah, that sounds very much like what the guy with the jesus sign across the street said about the harry potter books, except he was convinced that it was full of copious gay underage sex, and drugs.

if that's where we're going, no one can forget the time cube

I don't even understand how he could make this up as a joke (maybe its an American thing that doesn't translate well into English). Really difficult to read that wall of text against the white background so I can't even judge if it's a comedy put up. I really hope it is.

Nope, the time cube is a genuine, but consistently poorly explained theory.

It's so difficult to disprove as well, because of the incredible amount of pseudoscience involved.

The creators are also so stupid, no one has managed to get them to pick their own theory apart.

My god. That page was so long it broke the tiled background. Couldn't tell what the actual content was due to what I can only assume/hope is English as a second language.
