  1. When the Launcher downloads the modpack archive, it renames it in the format "slugname-packversion.zip". That is why you are seeing "sables-second-test-pack-1.0.zip". Make sure you are incrementing the pack version number any time you change either the pack metadata or the modpack archive (link or contents).
  2. Custom modpack issues belong in the Platform Pagoda forum. Always provide either the API URL or a link to the modpack's platform page.
  3. Requests for assistance related to custom modpacks on the client belong in Platform Pagoda. As jermangarc mentioned, your log file is incomplete. Please provide a link to the entire "client latest" log. Always provide a link to the Technic Platform modpack page or the API URL when requesting custom modpack assistance.
  4. The client is complaining that it is unable to use your video card/driver. Can you try updating your video driver to the latest version for Windows 10?
  5. Your modpack archive contents are in a subfolder named "modpack". The required folders (bin, config, mods) must be at the top level of the folder structure inside the modpack archive. Some of your mods have names which are highly suspicious of coming from an illegitimate source. For example, "Chisels-and-Bits-Mod-1.8.9.jar" and "Waila-Mod-1.8.8.jar" almost surely did not come from the author's preferred distribution location. Always get mods directly from the authors.
  6. You should not be distributing texture packs for world saves in your modpack archive. Your modpack archive should only contain the following folders: /bin/, /config/, /mods/, /shaderpacks/. The /bin/ folder should only contain the file modpack.jar. If you wish to distribute world saves and/or texture packs they should be separate optional downloads. The Technic Launcher has trouble extracting files with weird non-standard characters in the names. Inside the /shaderpacks/ folder is a file named "⌡aSuper ⌡1Shaders V4.1 ⌡cULTRA.zip". Rename this file to remove the funky "j" character.
  7. This is not a feature currently in ProjectE. After looking at the source it could probably be implemented in 4 or 5 lines of code. I checked out 1.9.3h, made (what I considered to be) the required changes, and tried to compile but one of the Gradle dependencies seems to be offline at the moment so it won't build. You might try opening a issue on their GitHub for this so see if you get any traction. If they implement the feature it should be pretty trivial to back-port that to the version of ProjectE in TekkitLegends. Edit: I was able to locate the correct version of the API and quickly throw together a maven repo to host it for Gradle. My version of the mod compiled so I'll try to test it soon. Might be a couple hours before I can get back to it. Edit 2: Okay, not surprisingly since it was my first time looking at the ProjectE source, my little fix missed a few things. Mine does indeed limit how much EMC you can store, but I neglected to check the "burn this for EMC" process in the Table so you are able to waste items when you shouldn't. I'll see if I can address that now. Edit 3: Okay, decided to dig a little deeper into the source and found a better implementation. I'm only limiting the max stored EMC by Integer.MAX_VALUE and don't know if this will break something else in the code if the config is set to some huge freaking number, but otherwise it seems to work well. Two files changed, 3 lines of code. I still suggest you open an issue on their GitHub repo, but it is highly unlikely they will back-port it to 1.3.9h so: Changes in my build: New config option added "maximumStoredEMC" which defaults to the originally hard-coded value in 1.9.3h. Set to -1 to make stored EMC essentially unlimited or an integer value to set something specific. Can be used server-side only. No need to change the client. Started from the ProjectE GitHub at commit SHA 72b8665e2a1f196f21b621a026f35a409746696d Created a new Maven repo for the (outdated and no longer available) Chisel2 API 1.3.10.100 Changed source available from the link below 72b8665e2a1f196f21b621a026f35a409746696d 72b8665e2a1f196f21b621a026f35a409746696d 72b8665e2a1f196f21b621a026f35a409746696d 72b8665e2a1f196f21b621a026f35a409746696d Download of updated mod and source: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/jo88y8ochgxif0j/AAAfV67G4RE58aj174n_bfnCa?dl=0
  8. Always provide a link to the Platform modpack page so we can better diagnose problems
  9. I could take it or leave it. There was no clear focus or cohesion.
  10. The rules still apply. Don't go over 4G, and likely you would never need over 3G.
  11. A Solder tutorial for beginners is a bit of an oxymoron. Solder is not supported on Windows and while it is possible to get it working, it is not the optimal solution. Directly from the getting started section of their documentation:
  12. In case you haven't logged into your copy.com account recently, they have announced that they are discontinuing their cloud storage service on May 1, 2016.
  13. I'm sure they are not, but your storage units in the drive aren't partitioned or inverted, correct? What happens if you put a ME chest with a 1K card in it on your network?
  14. A CircleCraft modpack anchored by the Lord of The Rings Mod with a few extra bits thrown in to enhance the adventuring experience. Log in and jump through The Ring to start exploring Middle Earth. If you haven't played the LoTR mod before, or have just been away for a while, there is so much new lore and enhancements that it is worth checking out. Features: Comprehensive world building in Middle Earth with quests and adventures. Extra magical based mods to enhance the play experience. Player claims to prevent griefing (if you want, you can even exclude people from your claims). CircleCraft cross-server chat with the other CC modpacks. Friendly, helpful community. Very low-key and relaxed. Newly reset world (as of 02-10-2016). Sphax Texture Pack (not 100% complete, but not bad). Small number of mods so it plays well with only 1G of RAM allocated in the Launcher. Like all CircleCraft server there are no donations, advertisements, etc. Modpack: http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/lotrcircles.255955 Server Address: lotr.circlecraft.info Rules: For the most part, just don't be a butt. Be friendly and tread lightly. No non-consensual PvP. Don't build near other players unless you ask first. Feel free to take things from NPC houses, but try not to just wreck the structures. This is supposed to be an adventuring world.
  15. Any way you could use Opis to nail down specifically which entity/entities are causing the lag?
  16. The Filler is a BuildCraft machine and therefore uses MJ for power. Solar panels output IC2 power in the form of EU. You will need to use Power Converters to convert from EU to MJ.
  17. I have griefprevention set up on a TekkitLite server (along with PermissionsEx and TekkitCustomizer) which as been running for nearly three years with no real troubles. If you are still having troubles, and are still interested, respond here and I'll put something together for you to try.
  18. Do you have ME Storage space available (storage units with open slots in a chest or drive)? How are you trying to insert the items? Through an ME Terminal? Into a Chest? Remote terminal? How are you powering the system? Are you able to provide links to a screenshot of your setup?
  19. Heh, that did not paste well.
  20. You mention the server has 10G of RAM. How much are you allocating to the server process? Is the server running off of an SSD or spindle drive? Okay, did some testing. Set up a server on one of my local VMs. The server seems to load fine while using Forge and I am able to join with no trouble. As long as I am stationary, or move slowly, the server seems to be stable and stay at a constant 20 TPS. However, as soon as I start moving around the world generation is obliterating TPS. The worldgen in this pack is very complex. Using the current Thermos (KCauldron fork) it seems to run better, but it crashes occasionally. One or more of the mods may not work well when not using Forge. The pack itself is kind of a mess. There are some current mods, some absolutely ancient mods, and even some mods for 1.7.2 when there are 1.7.10 versions available. None of the configs seem to be tweaked to make the mods work well together (specifically worldgen, go figure).
  21. I'm not sure if we're still prohibited from posting links to KCauldron/Thermos resources, but that's what you'll need to run a pack of that size. Forge by itself just can't keep up (in my experience).
  22. I'm not on a fast enough connection to evaluate a monolithic pack that large but should be able to check it out in detail in a few hours. However, a server for pack of that size is going to run like utter garbage if the server JAR is using Forge instead of one of the KCauldron/Thermos variants. Are you just running Forge or are you using one of the other server JARs?
  23. WIthout additional information (PC memory amount, Launcher RAM allocation, logs, crash reports, debugging, etc.) from your friend's machine we will be unable to assist you.
  24. Adding more RAM to the Launcher is not always a good idea. One should never allocate more than half the physical RAM in the computer, or 4Gig, whichever is the smaller amount. How much RAM does your PC have? How much are you allocating to the Launcher? What CPU/Platform are you using? I would recommend removing BetterFPS mod and adding OptiFine or FastCraft and see if that helps you.
  25. Your modpack archive is WAY too big. You have included unneeded files and folders which are bloating your pack as well as violating the Minecraft EULA by distributing the minecraft.jar file. Your modpack should contain only the folders: bin, config, Flan, mods, mystcraft. Also, the /bin/ folder should ONLY contain the file modpack.jar. You have include the options.txt file in your modpack archive. This is frowned upon because it will overwrite the local client settings each time the pack is updated. You should not be including the /mods/VoxelMods/ folder or its contents since this will cause the local client configs to be lost each time the pack is updated. You are using a very old version of Forge but are including current versions of many mods. You should be using a more recent version of Forge (preferably the current version). NotEnoughItems and InventoryTweaks both have server-side components and should be included in both the client and server. On a side note, your pack is huge. The file is large enough that some players may have difficulties downloading the modpack archive. In order to properly diagnose issues I will need to have a download link for your server build. It is possible that something is out of sync between the client and server and finding that is impossible without the server files.
