  1. No one has likely ever run into something like this. The fact that it is happening in both Feed the Beast mod packs and Techic mod packs is suspicious, but I don't have nearly enough information to tell you why that might be. Is there something you are doing to both mod packs, some way of launching them or altering them that might explain this?
  2. Tekkit has a Flat Bedrock mod, likely the one from PowerCrystals: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1629898-151152-powercrystals-mods-the-updates-never-stop/#fb
  3. MFFS too, from my understanding, can have some insane power draw. But yeah, that Laser Drill… lots of power draw.
  4. <sarcasm>Wow, what a totally objective and non-confrontational way to go about asking for help.</sarcasm>
  5. Assuming you are running the launch.sh file to start the server, it should be opening in a command-line terminal interface. From that interface, you can send commands directly to the server. http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Commands
  6. Advice: This is not where bug reports go
  7. How long have you let it sit there? Launching any of the Technic mod packs seems to take much longer than one would expect, maybe 30 seconds to a full minute. Sometimes patience is the key.
  8. Use the same account you would to log into Minecraft. If you aren't sure whether or not your account has been migrated to a 'Mojang Account', try logging in at www.minecraft.net. Use that same username and password on the TechnicLauncher.
  9. 600MB compressed, or uncompressed? How are you doing backups?
  10. Only justifiable if you call needing to stockpile diamonds like a squirrel hoarding for winter. I've been running a Laser Drill for a couple weeks and am up to 20k diamonds. Also, bonus: tons of Certus Quartz, Emerald, and other assorted ores. I need MORE POWER.
  11. Huh, so it can. Thanks for the heads up!
  12. I think I made it pretty clear this was my method of ignoring an ignorant child. It isn't my job to educate you, and when you make it clear you are unable to comprehend even basic principles, you make it so others don't want to even try. If you are so gung-ho about getting in the last word, perhaps maybe you should first be correct about your arguments.
  13. I'm not arguing any further with a child who has demonstrated a complete lack reading comprehension and logic. Since venom didn't send you off, maybe civility will.
  14. Fuck off asshole, go back to school. And as for you, 'air' in the sense that human beings breathe it, sound travels through it. Not as is in 'contains the same elements that make up the atmosphere on Earth, but spread so thin to have no similarity to what any normal person would consider air'. By your reason, human beings are made of air also, as they contain all the same materials that exist in our atmosphere. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Outer_space My entire point was that in the vacuum of space, there is no sound. Argue that.
  15. Space is a vacuum, genius.

  17. You're running a 32-bit OS. If you have 8Gb of RAM, you really need to be running a 64-bit OS.
  18. How to fix it? Keep looking, or use a new seed to generate a new world.
  19. I… what? The enthusiasm is nice, but I don't expect this to end well.
  20. Confirmed that the Decapitate enchantment gives heads off mobs that don't usually drop them (or has such a high chance of it happening it's practically never.) I was farming Endermen in The End with an Ender Sword (Irony, how I love thee) that has the Decapitate and Looting Enchantments, and got 4-5 Endermen heads. I suspect killing other mobs, passive, Vanilla or otherwise, can drop heads as well (if NEI is any indication).
  21. Oh shitballs, it's down for everyone. How am I supposed to get my Hexxit fix?!!?
  22. Eh, gotta be balance in everything. If I am kind to this newb, I can be mean to another. Thats how it works right?
  23. The Mindcrafters also have a good series of videos on AE: http://wiki.technicpack.net/Applied_Energistics_Video_Tutorials
  24. I believe it is CoFH Core.
  25. Don't you think that information should have been included in Post #1? You're using an non-technic application to launch a technic modpack. Have you tried playing the game on your computer using the TechnicLauncher application, loading the Hexxit modpack to see how stable that is on your computer? Establish a baseline, work with what is supposed to be working correctly without crashing, then start changing it to tailor to your own needs.
